Every thing was delicious! Great stop for the hungry traveler! Just a short drive from Route 81 and several hotels! Open late!

If you are a college student, and half drunk, this place may suit you. For everyone else....avoid. We were initially seated inside. It was a Friday night, but still early, and the music was at a volume so high that shouting straight into the ear of the person seated beside you was ineffective. I have to think that turning the volume up to "11" is a stupid idea in terms of dining experience and long term hearing. We asked to be moved outside and were. The food. Well, the spinach and artichoke dip isn't bad. I tried to choose something on the menu that would be a safe bet, and picked a Reuben, which was fair, but greasy. A hamburger rated a 5. Veggie wrap was huge and messy, and was not finished. Everything came with pale under cooked waffle fries, which none of us ate. By know the Greek societies were out in force, and clearly drunk. One pair wrestled and nearly fell into our table; my husband had to stand and push them back, or they would have crashed into it. The poor waitresses are run off their feet. They kept emerging from the din within with food and looking desperately around for who had ordered it. At this point there were more people standing than sitting in the outdoor area, so even if they knew, it was hard to get to the table, and even harder for the food not to be knocked out of their hands by the good size crowd of drunken students. I am sure that there are many people who enjoy the hard drinking scene at BTs. One of the crappier dining experiences I have ever had. read more

I rate based on food value and this place has got that in droves. Awesome food and spirits spot. Went a little crazy and tried tons of stuff. Picked at all the stuff my kids ordered and each entree was delicious. You can tell there is an attention to "real" food and not some chain like frozen food experience. Burgers were great, pulled pork was legitimate southern-style, and the Reuben was "A" plus. Can't wait to give it a try when I'm back in town. read more

I. Love. BTs. My friend Tessica and I used to walk down there between the classes we were teaching to grab lunch. After a few trips, our waitress knew what we were going to get and would greet us with drinks and ask if we wanted the usual--which we almost always did. Everyone is so friendly, the food is delicious, and it's not very crowded in the afternoons, as long as you avoid the most obvious rush times. At night it's more crowded, but that's just part of the college town charm. The bar is well-stocked and service moves quickly. The outdoor seating feels included with the restaurant but still offers views of the sky and the street. There are swinging western doors on the way to the bathrooms and a variety of table sizes to accommodate any size group. Since someone I know worked in the kitchen for awhile, I know that the food is made fresh, the kitchen is clean, and some of the recipes are BTs exclusives. The carrot cake is phenomenal. If you're getting a meal, try the chicken sandwich with the hot sauce and get extra seasoning on the waftos. I'm not a fan of fries in general, but they're pretty darn delicious. Favorite bar of all time. Have yet to find a bar where the staff treats their customers so good. Amazing happy hour specials and delicious food. Chicken tenders, quesadillas, and burgers are always a go to! Miss this place so much since graduating. read more

Food was very disappointing. I ordered the pull pork sandwich and it had chunks of fat in the sandwich. My daughter had a hamburger that was raw. Although it is a great location to the Freshmen dorm on campus - I would suggest making the walk to town for better food and service. read more

My salad came to the table and was not fresh. The manager came over and replaced it. Happy! My chicken teriyaki was ok. Asked for extra pineapple, got 2 pieces. My husband's steak was raw. Overall, I think they were just having a bad night. I'll give them the benefit of doubt. read more

We are local residents (not students) and we were looking forward to trying BT's delivery. We ordered and paid online and left more than a 20% tip for the driver. We politely asked to have the delivery person to ring the doorbell and leave the food on the table by the door. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. It took over 2 hours to get our food. The driver left our food outside in the rain (did not ring the doorbell). The food was cold and had to be reheated. I love to support local businesses, so this was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. read more

Love love love BT's. Went to school in Radford and when I turned 21 that was the best place for drinks, and still is. Their overall customer service is a 4 because i had one bad experience that I wont forget. But their food is 5/5, their drinks are 7/5 (if that's possible). Warning: a long, livid review My first mistake was coming here to eat, which I was warned not to do. My boyfriend and I waited 5-10 before Kevin finally arrived to take our drink orders. I ordered a Bahama Mama and a water, while my boyfriend ordered a Yuengling. My second mistake was not being ready to order food when he took our drink orders. A good ten minutes after taking our drink orders, he finally returns (without our drinks) to get our food orders. I ordered a sirloin because it was on special, and my boyfriend got a grilled chicken salad. Now, me being a server, I started getting really irritated after ten MORE minutes of waiting for our drinks. I know the place was busy, but seriously dude, it's called priorities. He probably didn't have more than 4 tables, so no excuse. I started to look around and tried giving him a death stare since we it had been sitting nearly half an hour after this point. The server at the table next to me asked if we had gotten our drinks yet, to which I politely responded that we hadn't and had been waiting awhile. He said he would get them for me. He never did. My boyfriend is very patient and hard to irritate, but even he was pretty pissed at this point. I was in the process of writing a note on a napkin telling our server why we were about to walk out when what I assume was the manager came out about another ten minutes later and asked who ordered the steak. I responded that I ordered the steak, but I also ordered my drinks 45 minutes ago, and that I was about to walk out. He said that he understood and explained that my server was new (not an excuse) and that he would get our drinks. He finally came back with our drinks another five minutes later, without my boyfriend's salad. He came back and asked about my steak. I let him know that it was cooked correctly, but it was very tough. And I'm glad I told him the truth because he gave my steak half off, which I would say was deserved. He also gave us our drinks free, (which I'm pretty sure is illegal.) Our server never apologized, but he explained to us that he didn't bring us our drinks because he thought someone else brought them... Anyway, we still left him his undeserved tip. They have some pretty awesome drinks specials, but never, ever come here for their food. read more

Very disappointing. We ordered a hamburger and nachos. The burger was way overdone. The nachos were average, at best, with canned liquid cheese. They didn't come with salsa, but did come with a tablespoon of sour cream in a prepackaged container - not nearly enough. And the service wasn't friendly at all. That was our first and likely last visit. If you like beer and don't care about the quality of your food, go for it. If you want a good meal, go somewhere else. read more

I ordered my food for pickup and when I got home I realized all my sides for one meal was missing. My girlfriend order their Gouda Chicken which the menu said came with rice but there was no rice. She got a baked potato and it looked like they didn't clean it and was only half cooked. I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich which was pretty tasty but the bread was soggy. I also order Mac and cheese and they never gave it to me. Overall I would probably never go here again. read more

Gave this place a second chance after a horrible experience. The first experience was brunch and everyone in my group received cold food. The second time I dined here. Horrible service again. This is the worst restaurant in radford, va. They hire people with no common sense. The manager is a huge douchebag. Serving staff has no priority. And ladies night..good luck getting a drink. So to start out this was my first time eating there and it will be my last unless I want cheap drinks and some fries in the future. We ordered drinks and 10 mins later ordered an burger(mid rare) fries and bacon wrapped chicken with 2 sides. The place wasnt even 1/4 of the way full and our food took 40 mins. The burger was mid well and the portion for the chicken was literally less than 4 oz wrapped in bacon. Dont get me wrong the food tastes good but my burger had 3/4 of an inch of bun around the party it was so small. So if you're a broke college student or drunk the food would probably be perfect but the only redeeming factor of this place was the cheap drinks that's the only reason for 2 stars instead of one. Not sure why this place was labled as ice cream and frozen yogurt, they don't have that here. It's a local place the college kids and townies like to eat and hang. Can get kind of rowdy and crowded on the weekends, but it is directly across from RU. Lots of specials and very cheap prices on beverages. Food is half way decent too. The only reason I didn't give it a 5, is because the owner is pretty rude to certain workers and other business partners. Other than that, I have no qualms with it. read more

This bar is awful. The drinks are overpriced, they have no clear happy hour menu, and for some unexplainable reason believe that they should be the only place in town to charge a cover. The staff are unprofessional and have no working bar knowledge, which is only slightly more in impressive than the actual bar space. The bar is crowded and you can expect to spend 15 minutes at the bar fighting for attention from a bar tender on a busy night. This place is a joke. read more

Whenever we visit our daughter at Radford University we visit Bts. The food is great. The prices are very reasonable and the service is always friendly. I would recommend to anyone. They have a wonderful happy hour. read more

I have only been to BT's a couple of times, their food is ok but nothing special and the bar area is ok. I would really only consider going back to meet friends for drinks. It's usually filled with a number of college kids because it's right across from the University. read more

This place was disgusting. The second I walked in the bouncer burped in my and my friends face and was insulting towards the women in my group, especially my friends of color. The host seated us in a ripped booth, threw our menus on the table and left without a word. Our waited smelled of cigarettes, got two of our orders wrong, and was rude/short to us the entire time. While speaking with management, after a truly appalling experience, we were told there was nothing they can do. The service was AWFUL. I will never step into this establishment again. I will also tell all of my friends to avoid this cesspool of terrible service and revolting food and drink. read more

I guess it's all about what you order here. We came once and had some things that weren't bad, but we came today and were really disappointed. Our chicken wings were extremely burnt and the sauce had no flavor. Sharkey's is definitely the only place in town for good wings. The chicken tenders were okay, not great, and the mashed potatoes and gravy had a very strange taste. The water had a bad taste too. Our server was very nice and attentive but they obviously needed more staff. I wouldn't pay for food here again. read more

I used to come here all the time for a steak and salad every Tuesday night And I can back last week to get away from the family and I don't know if there has been a turnover on cooks but the food was not what I remember. For a dive bar, the food was pretty good! Started with the buffalo cheese dip and that was quite good. Then we had a couple of wraps and I ordered and omelette. Both of the wraps were good and made from fresh ingredients. My omelette had lots of ham and cheese-which I liked. Service was good and friendly and outside seating on a nice day. I had quite a distressing experience at this bar/restaurant. I did not eat there, but opted to drink a few beers after work and then head home. Upon exploring this place, I discovered BT's has a digital jukebox that allows payment with credit cards. It was pricey, I think 5 dollars for three songs, but I couldn't tolerate the tacky jazz house music any longer. After paying for the songs, I was approached by a portly unkempt bearded man wearing baggy cheap dress clothes, and told that if my taste in music was not favorable to the lunch hour crowd and management's liking, then this man (the manager) would override my song choice and reinstate the tacky jazz music. I did not protest, but thought it would be a total scumbag move to do something of that nature. The lunch hour crowd was a whopping two people, and lo and behold my song choices were surely overridden; thus I was insolently ripped off. The whole issue could had been avoided if the jukebox was turned off during the day, or a notice was placed on the jukebox, but of course I was warned after I paid. This was not the only incident that occurred with this manager during my first and only visit to BT's. I am rarely treated with such insolence, and will not be visiting BT's ever again. read more
