My review is a little biased as I might possibly be the biggest Bruxie fan around. I have been coming to this location since as far back as 2015. I pretty much only get the original sandwich or the super cluck. In this image I got the Super Cluck without the sauce and added the sweet chili honey. I don't even live in the state anymore but I make sure to always visit Bruxies when I'm in town. Truly one of the best chicken and waffle sandwiches around. Highly recommend giving it a try! In addition to trying the sandwich be sure to pair it with their fresh strawberry lemonade.
Definitely better than my first experience here :) very polite and nice servers. The waffles this time around were so tasty and crispy! The chicken was ok, but still good with the waffle. It was overcooked. Overall - a yummy place to have breakfast.
In short, deceptively filling food at reasonable-ish pricing. I took my +1 and "little" to a matinee movie next-door, and we thought we would stop here for lunch ahead of time. The place is easy to get to, in the parking garage is right next to it, so no problem there. Bruxie was open and airy, with indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful, cool and breezy day, so we opted to sit outside. We ordered at the counter, and then the food was brought to us. My. +1 ordered the chicken waffles, which came with two large pieces of chicken, a good sized, waffle, and plenty of syrup. We order a smaller kid-sized portion for our Little. I thought I would try the Super Cluck, which was basically a chicken and waffle sandwich, but it came with bacon, an egg over easy, and melted slices of cheddar cheese. I'm not sure that I would order it again because there were other things on the menu that looked delicious, but I was hungry after a workout and wanted all of the proteins. The sliced cheese melted into the waffle was a little weird, but it was I'll filling. Overall, we all ate our fill (and then some), and the pricing was pretty reasonable for what we got. We didn't even have room for popcorn at the movie afterwards!
My go to is the Original and a dessert. The waffles are always fresh and crispy. Everything I've had on the menu has been solid so far. The workers here are always friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. I especially like this downtown Brea location because they have outdoor seating, and it's such a nice spot to sit, eat, and people-watch since it's right on the corner. Also, I appreciate that they have a sink to wash your hands because eating the sandwich can definitely get messy.
Tried Bruxie for the first time and went with the krckin "Nashville " Hot and honestly, so good. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sauce added the perfect amount of flavor without being too heavy. Stopped by Bruxie for lunch after not having been here in years and ordered a salad. It was decent for a fried chicken spot, but after eating about 1/3 of it, I found a produce sticker mixed into the salad. I told the waitress, who spoke to her supervisor and offered to remake it, but after already waiting 15 minutes for the salad initially and finding a sticker in the first salad, I declined. Other than a quick apology, there was no offer to comp or refund the salad. Mistakes happen, but the way they're handled matters too. Pretty disappointing experience overall. Kinda gross thinking about how they are handing their produce and cleanliness!

I ordered the Super Cluck Sandwich, Spiced Tots, and Strawberry Lemonade The Super Cluck Sandwich was AMAZING! I would Highly recommend it, all of the ingredients compliment each other very well. There was just the right amount of maple syrup where it's really just complimenting and not overtaking the flavor. The Waffle was warm, crunchy, and thin, the egg was cooked to perfection, the bacon was not too crunchy and not too soft, and the chicken was breaded nicely and tasted great. I would definitely recommend to order this. The spiced tots are pretty good, they are not overly seasoned, they came out hot and crunchy. Everything you'd expect from some good tots, I would recommend to order these. The Strawberry lemonade was good but overly sweet for me, it leaves a sticky after taste from the amount of sugar, this would be a refreshing drink with less sugar. Definitely make sure to grab some hand wipes (they are provided here at the restaurant) because the sandwich is pretty messy. That's not a deal breaker for me. The ambiance is nice and very casual with good music. The staff is friendly. I'll for sure be back.
Been here multiple times but the last time I went here was 10yrs ago. The menu change a lot they only have chicken waffles. I remember before they used to have pastrami waffle, breakfast waffles with egg and etc. the original chicken waffle is really good. The waffles fries is really good very crispy and you can tell it's freshly cooked. Service was okay. The person was taking our order is not friendly and just stand there. Parking is easy .
I stopped by Bruxie in downtown Brea just to get dessert after dinner, so I didn't try their food at this location. I was walking by and the strawberry waffle immediately caught my eye. Honestly, I originally wanted a smoothie, but the cashier informed me they didn't have any, which surprised me. I'm not sure if it's just a late-night thing or if they stop serving them, but that aside, the strawberry waffle was fantastic. It was fresh and just as good as the one I had at another place, super delicious,! though definitely a calorie bomb. If you're watching your intake or on a diet, maybe skip it, since it's pretty rich in sugar and carbs. But I was really satisfied with the quality. everything was fresh, and the staff were great. The vibe inside Bruxie is really nice. they have a great store layout, and even though when I arrived there was no line, most tables were filled, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Overall, a really nice experience.
This Bruxie is located in downtown Brea which is a beautiful location with a free parking structure next to it! There's a lot of surrounding activities like movie theaters, desserts and coffee shops. I had the Original which was actually a really good fried chicken and waffle sando - what really surprised me was the sauce which was a syrup + little spicy kick to it. Wasn't too spicy for me, but something to think about if you can't handle spice. Service was good too - it's an order at the front type restaurant but the waitress stepped outside to ask if there's anything we needed. I just advise to clean the tables after people are done, there's some crumbs left over on the tables outside.
This is not the Bruxie I remember. Used to be a go to spot when in town but the menu has changed. They no longer have the turkey waffle sandwich - no idea how long ago they got rid of that. Looks like the menu consists of more bun type sandwich/ burger vs the waffles they were known for. I had the chicken sandwich which was drenched in their honey sauce. It tasted okay but nothing to brag about. Daughter had the egg waffle which had ONE flattened egg in a waffle. For the price you'd think they at least put two. Also got tots which had way too much paprika. Service was just ok - they weren't particularly helpful when ordering. I did enjoy the outward facing seating outside to people watch.

We found this cool little spot after going to the mall. Decided to give it a try. Portions were large. Chicken was crispy and juicy. Fries were just right. Tater tots had a nice flavor. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Kids were happy with their selections and shared. Overall, fun and yummy place to have lunch. We'll come back again. read more

We came last night around 6:30pm and we were so excited for our chicken and waffles. The service was excellent, the food came out hot and was SO delicious! I really want to highlight Eric- he was very hospitable and tentative from the beginning to the end. Though they got busy at some point, he and the other girl that was working were all around tending to guests and stayed on top of the place being clean. The team overall works really hard, including the kitchen crew since they're the ones behind the real magic of the food. We will be returning soon! Thanks for a great experience! read more

I didn't even know Bruxie sold coffee but today I noticed the small right bottom corner offering cold brew with housemade cold foam so I thought I'd give it a try. The menu says that it's brewed for 24 hours and I would say it's not that bad for a place that specializes in waffles and chicken. I opted for the vanilla flavor and they added the perfect amount. The foam is different from typical coffee shops in that instead of being thick and creamy, it's more airy and foamy. It's not my preferred texture but it still gave the cold brew the sweetness it needed. I was happy that it wasn't acidic because that's my least favorite type of cold brew. read more

They changed their menu and got rid of all things pesto, including my favorite: the green eggs and ham special! :0( So disappointing! But their lemon cream and berries waffle is SOOOO delicious and tasty!!! That is now my new favorite. We also got their loaded fries and it was pretty good. But the cheese tasted like the fake kind. Kinda grainy. Our hostess/cashier was super friendly and helpful! We also happened to get great parking! read more

The food was good, it was a struggle to eat the waffle sandwich, it gets messy and soggy. The burger was also good, a little small. Make sure to order a combo if you want fries. The service was not the best, the cashier that took our order wasn't very efficient, we didn't receive as much as a welcome. The cashier spoke very little, didn't mention if we wanted to make our orders a combo or where the napkins and utensils were, barely repeated the order aswell. This was a cool place to checkout, nice shopping area and easy parking. Wish the service we received was better. read more
I only had the fried chicken salad so I can't speak for the rest of the food but it was BOMB Rarely do you eat chicken outside of your house that's well seasoned but this was definitely the exception. For sure coming back to try the rest of the menu. My cousin and sister swear by this place. The place is cute and clean/ the staff was very helpful and super attentive to everything we needed. Also they were HILARIOUS. My fav part about this place is that there's a sticky note above the drinks that's a reminder for the workers to tell a joke tk each other which was a nice personal touch! Bruxie has the best chicken and waffles! The waffles are light, fluffy, and crispy - very unlike other waffles that have the texture of pancakes. The chicken has a nice flavor and it's not dry. I appreciate that they give you a tiny syrup bottle with the container of syrup. After having one meal here I end up craving it again. There's plenty of seating at this location, the dining areas and restrooms are clean, and it's conveniently located across the free public parking structure. Customer service was great. read more
I've been coming to bruxies for years now since I was in high school. And it NEVER misses! I stumbled upon bruxies originally in Santa Monica franchise and when I moved I've always looked for the nearest one. As you can see my gf and I love our Nashville hot sandwiches in different fonts, I got the waffle sandwhich and she got the buns! I love how consistent they've been throughout the years, just like each bite of their food, CONSISTENT! Always very friendly staff, great vibes all throughout the place. I came for a late brunch hoping for classic chicken and waffles and was not disappointed. The area is attractive so it's good for pictures but it also just looks clean which I appreciate. There were a lot of menu options for a chicken and waffle place, you can definitely get creative and adventurous with your order. I played it safe and got the classic chicken and waffles and really loved it. The waffle was crispy and felt thick yet airy enough to feel light in your stomach. Don't get me started on the chicken.... Seasoned and cooked perfectly!! Better than Popeyes and other places that pride themselves on their chicken. I would 1000% go back just for the chicken. We also were served with mini syrup bottles on the side that we got to take home which is a cute touch. The service was friendly and also extremely quick. We got to pick our table after ordering and the food came to us in under 10 minutes. Overall: the chicken is amazing, the waffles are super tasty too, and the service and ambiance are above average. I would definitely come here again and take my friends. My one complaint is that it is a little overpriced, paid $15 for the meal which included one waffle and one piece of chicken. read more
I remember when this place first opened and it was packed to the gills. I recently took my wife and there was no longer a long wait. We ordered and enjoyed our food outside in their patio. My wife enjoyed her chicken and waffles and so did I. We typically stick to a clean diet but when we cheat we make sure the food is worth it and this place does not disappoint. read more
i haven't been to bruxie in years and my sister recently brought me some togo and i haven't stopped thinking of it since! there's a lot of seating inside and outside and i love how there's a handwashing station inside to wash up! servers were nice and offered to help with any explanations. they also bring your food to your table when it's ready. i got the basic chicken and waffle sandwich. the waffle is on the thinner side but very crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. the chicken piece is fairly large and i love the hot honey sauce it has on it. it was juicy and paired well with the coleslaw. i was pretty full after it! i definitely want to try out the dessert options next time!!! the shakes also look yummy read more

Very clean and pretty tasty food! They'll bring the food out to you. Restaraunt's clean and very little to no wait time. Original was great, a bit spicy but still good. The blt seemed a bit cold and the bottom was soggy so it fell apart when trying to eat. Not sure if it's supposed to be like this. Crème brule and strawberry super amazing must try!! Bruxie's menu has drastically changed since the last time I went, many years ago. Now, they focus on fried chicken and chicken sandwiches. I decided to give their Nashville hot chicken sandwich a try and thought it was quite tasty! There was a strong dill flavor in the chicken breading, if you are into that. If not, I wouldn't recommend this sandwich. Overall, the sandwich was very flavorful, and great texture. The bread was nice and chewy, the pickles were cut to the perfect thickness, and the ratio of ingredients was great. My only wish is that the chicken was thicker. I felt there was too little chicken compared to breading and wished there was more chicken for a better bite and texture. The service was friendly, and our food came out quickly! As a first timer, i was very impressed! The waffles were made with the right amount of crunch, and very light. The chicken does have a slight bit of a kick in the seasoning, so be forewarned if you're sensitive to spice. Condiments and utensils are next to the soda fountain, and are all self serve. The seating is pretty much a communal type of setting, meaning you may share your table with a few new faces. Although my wife is sensitive to spicy food, we will definitely be back to explore other options on the menu. Tasty culinary fried chicken sandwiches. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich and it has the taste of the Popeyes chicken frenzy sandwich flavor but bigger. First time here, and got the chicken and waffle meal. It was good, I give it a 7/10. I like how the chicken is not overwhelming and mixes well with the waffle. The syrup is good, high quality and is not too sweet. I would say that the waffle is a bit greasy which is why I gave this place a 7/10. Bruxie is a great breakfast / lunch cafe type option in the Downtown Brea area. Specializing in their take on chicken and waffles (and waffle fries!) the sandwiches we had were yummy and fast and nice service rounded out the experience. Sitting outside watching the world go by was nice on a day with good weather. read more
The restaurant was fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon, but my order was taken within minutes and the food was brought out within the next seven minutes! It's basically an outdoor restaurant with a proper roof, but I came on a warm and slightly breezy day, so it was a pleasant experience. At first, I wasn't really sure what to order due to their numerous options, but the server was very kind and asked me about my taste preferences before giving me her recommendation. As for the dish itself, the chicken breast was crispy and juicy on the inside, but a bit salty for my taste. But the waffle was amazing-- fluffy, sweet, and everything you need a waffle to be. The sweetness of the waffle definitely balanced out the saltiness of the chicken. The order even came with a little bottle of maple syrup to take home! I've been curious about this joint. Bruxie is located in Downtown Brea. It's known for chicken and waffles. I like the idea of that. Tonight, I've decided to come try their chicken sandwich. I hope it didn't disappoint. Let me tell you something that I've learned back in middle school. I'm sure you all are familiar with the compass. There are N on top, E on right, S on bottom, and W on left. Well, those letters really means "Never Eat Soggy Waffle". Get it? LOL. For the food, I got the original chicken and waffle sandwich. The taste and quality came out nice. Wasn't that big though. But it was a nice try for a change. I got fries and drink with it. It was pretty expensive though. There's nothing really else to say, but they do offer other waffle sandwiches like nashville style chicken and more. For now, 4 stars. read more
