They have an extensive selection of color and I like how they're able to match most of the colors of my shellac to my pedicure color. One thing I really like about this place is that they don't give you the run around about the waiting time like most salons, and actually take their time on the services that you pay for. Prices are INSANE and the work isn't great!!! Charged me $46 for a REFILL! And then said to me yeah because we changed the color and filled in your nails. How else do you refill an acrylic set?! Will never be coming here again and won't be recommended it to anyone. read more

I had my shellac mani done by Joyce and she did an absolutely perfect job! She was gentle on my hands and did everything the way I hoped she would. The shapes on all my nails were symmetrical, she covered as much of my nails with shellac as she possibly could without actually touching the cuticle (I hate how they snag onto the cuticle as your nails grow out if they touch!), the edge of the shellac along the cuticle was extremely even and steady, she covered the the sides (the places I've been to seem to always miss them), and she made sure to get the hanging edge of the nail so they don't chip as fast! Love, love, love her! It's been over a week and they still look as good as new besides the fact that my nails have grown out a bit. read more

So excited to try this salon! First visit 3/21, Shellac manicure plus pedicure. The salon is GORGEOUS and the pedicure station was very comfortable! The only off note of the day was too-sweet champagne! I hope the manager upgrades the champagne soon! Also, please stock some sparkling mineral water. Service was excellent. My technicians were Tiana (mani) and Nancy (pedi). Both very attentive and careful with me, and meticulous with both mani and pedi. I have been coming here for my pedicures with ASHLEY for at least 6 months. She takes her time and never makes me feel like a rushed client. Today I chose to get a full set and I was given LISA. She RUSHED and within the first 5 minutes of the service i had to stop her and ask for someone else. She wasnt even paying attention she left so much polish on my cuticle and under my nail and still place the false nails on top even when you could physically see my green polish that was not taken off properly. Luckily, I waited and was taken care by ANDY who saved the day and have me a GORGEOUS FULL SET. He stayed after closing making sure-my set was just what i wanted. I am only giving a 4 instead of a 5 star because a business is only as good as their weakest or worst employee. LISA has serviced many people I have referred here and they never went back because she did the same to them. Until she either gives the clients the time they deserve or she is no longer there I will not rate this place a 5 star. HOWEVER ASHLEY FOR PEDI IS AMAZING AND ANDY IS ALSO AMAZING. My past 2 experiences at brush box have been awful! My daughter and I came 3 months ago and the manicurist rushed through my daughters manicure (despite fact that I was paying full price). The manicurist was rude, got powder all over skin, clipped skin, etc... when I complained to the manager about our experience (in lieu of writing a bad review) he offered a gift card. I assumed that this would be the cost of her manicure which was $62? Nope - it was $25! So my daughter is there again with a friend and they are charging $77 for a dip manicure with tips?! When I called and spoke to the receptionist, she was rude and laughed at my concerns. I know this place is convenient and plays good music... but take your business to one of the many salons near-by! Two times they were given the opportunity to make this right and two times they have chosen not to. I will take my business elsewhere and you should as well! Called multiple times to try and see appointment availability, but got put on hold for 4-5 mins. Upon arrival had a short 15 min wait which was expected. I requested a mani and pedi. My pedi was close to being done when they asked if I still wanted a mani. I said yes, since it's what I originally requested. There was staff available, so I was slightly surprised both weren't being done at the same time, but also didn't mind. A staff member sat down to assist another guest with a manicure and the person working my pedi told her it was us she was supposed to be working with us. She moved over to work on my mani, seemed frustrated and said the space was too small... although no one was to my left or my right. Then she told the woman "you're almost done, why don't you just do it." She responded that she was till painting and I had been waiting. She walked off came back and said someone else would be assisting and then proceeded to start a manicure on another guest in the same size space. The next woman who ended up doing my manicure was nice and even gave me some advice on colors. Her daughter who just got off work from another place in the same complex came up to her during my manicure and they went back and forth a bit before she told her daughter to leave and she continued my manicure. Wasn't really a 70$ experience. While there I witnessed three customers come in that we're having issues with the work they had just had done and needed to be fixed. Love love the decor and layout of the salon. Genius idea for having a kids playroom and complimentary open bar for the guests. The place and tools were clean. Great selection in different brands and colors in dipping powder (the color i chose was SNS brand #004). It's a bit overpriced, you're pretty much paying for the atmosphere and not the quality. The complaint I have is that my manicurist cut my skin too deep on my thumb and pinky as you can see in the photos. I don't mind a little cut and blood here and there but if it's sore the next day, that's when it bothers me. I didn't realize it until i left the shop. read more

I really wanted to love this place because it looks really nice inside. The chairs are are so nice. However my pedicure was rushed. Literally my heel is still dry. I got acrylic nails with shellac and they didn't cover my whole nails. I honestly will likely have to go back next week to get them redone. I paid 100.00 for the basic pedicure and shellac acrylic which isn't bad except they did a bad job :( I could've paid 70.00 for the same service down the street and they would've done a better job. read more

I rarely post negative reviews but feel like I need to share my experience. I found this place at the rec of a friend who had a TOTALLY different (great) experience here so keep that in mind. Manicure: I chose my polish and asked that they use the infinite shine top coat with it (like I am able to do at my regular place... if you havent used it before, it really does make your mani last 7-12 days), acknowledging the $4 charge. They told me I had to choose an infinite shine polish. Okay. I sit down and without soaking my nails, she roughly starts pushing my cuticles back and clipping away, cutting me 3x. Did not add the disinfectant drops or say sorry. Polish turned out fine but this was not a $24 manicure. Pedicure: I ask for the basic pedicure ($35) plus a 10 minute shoulder massage ($15). The pedicure was fine but the tech was rough and again I was cut. Shoulder massage felt more like 10 minutes of being pinched. Perhaps it's because even the techs are new, I just found the whole experience to be rough. *UPDATE* every single nail chipped within 2 days. read more

Well, I have to say I wanted to like The Brush Box, but it's just not for me. I'm a simple girl who treats herself once a month with a pedi and shoulder/neck massage. I decided to try this place. Read the reviews and thought I would like it. It's a beautiful place with plenty of chairs for your mani pedi needs. Everything is very new and clean. Their services include all kinds of waxing. They also have a little play room for your kids and a small bar that may or may not serve complimentary wine. I'm not sure, as I only had water. My pedicure was ok, and so was the massage. However, the pedicure was expensive ($35) for just a basic pedi with a salt scrub and 10 minute rub. Also, $15 for a 10 minute, just ok, shoulder massage that I had to move to another chair to recieve wasn't worth the money. The pedicure chairs are very aesthetic, but not comfortable at all. The seat is hard and the cushion they have for you is even harder. I'm sure it's probably great for some, but I'll stick to what works for me. It's really 3 stars from me, but that's not really fair to the business. read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but this is noteworthy. The simplest Manicure and pedicure are $20 and $60. It took almost two hours for me and a girlfriend to get manicure pedicures and my nail polish has come off three nails. This did not even last 24 hours. The place is brand new and looks to be a really solid and lovely place- but I have never had a manicure come off this fast in my life. All the polish is new, the store has been open only a month! While I love the set up and design of the shop, I cant help but think that something went terribly wrong with my manicure. My girlfriends nails look great and she is very pleased with her treatment. I got the "marathon" pedicure today. It is more expensive than their other ones I have tried in the past. It felt very rushed and definitely did not take the one hour like the menu said. There was not a "greater emphasis" on the massage. The massage on my legs and shoulders was shorter than the other pedicures I've done before. I definitely regret paying more for this pedicure. I have a spa I own near by and I'm traveling tomorrow so I said let me try them again... big mistake I requested a pedicure and a powder removal.... The nail tech act like he was touching a cat and no one never came to remove my powder nails. I informed them I had to leave by 5 I came in at 3:30pm they said okay. No one never came to do my hands but other women came in was serviced with 2 techs doing their nails and feet. I decided to say something and the receptionist stated no one wanted to take off my powder and she was texting her manager about it. I walked out, this place isn't welcoming and they're morally wrong. I have tons of clientele at my spa and know a lot of people in Houston. I called in this afternoon to schedule an appointment for after-work pedis with my sister-in-law. We were there earlier than our appt, but still an hour from closing. There were only 4 other customers in the entire place and we couldn't believe it! We didn't realize they opened for business so recently, so maybe they're still just a hidden gem (selfishly, I kind of hope it stays that way!) but they deserve the credit for being so awesome. The ambiance is calming and relaxing, it's super clean and beautifully decorated, there's a children's play area, and they have a bar! It's a pretty large place as well, with 22 pedicure chairs. We were greeted with warm, friendly smiles, and offered wine as we chose our colors. I was also happy to hear that they offer acrylics because my nails are brittle and dip/shellac don't work on my nails, so I now have somewhere local and don't have to travel far from my neighborhood for a variety of services! read more

Will not be returning here again. They do a decent job, but I went in asked for a pedicure, NO polish change, literally nothing done to my toenails. Simply wanted calluses scrubbed off and legs exfoliated. They charged me FULL price. So you're telling me to scrub my legs and calluses with no polish change or anything is the same price had I have gotten a polish change? It doesn't make sense. If the lady would have told me they would have been charging me the same price for that, I would have declined. Not good business. $80 for a manicure and someone to scrub my legs/feet.
