The food was great! The taste on the tacos was amazing and the Chilaquiles were so good. The chilaquiles had a different taste which made me like them more. It was a smoky flavor, and they were not too spicy. The tacos were a perfect amount of egg with tofu. The drink was amazing and it was a peach Mimosa. The ambience was great. Walked in as a party of one for brunch when I was visiting. Lots of good materials to read as a solo diner, fast attentive servers. Restaurant is a little loud but it's a fun vibe. I have a gluten allergy but am not celiac and was able to easily identify what I could and couldn't have. Shrimp and grits were the best I've ever had! When I visited here this past Summer, we were in the throws of COVID and had to wait outside for a table but I don't mean that in a bad way. The french toast was delicious, but as a self-proclaimed Bloody Mary connoisseur, it left something to be desired. I'm back in Spokane for the week and Bruncheonette was on the top of my list of restaurants to try. My coworker and I arrived 30 minutes before noon and were instantly seated. For lunch, I ordered the loaded scramble (egg whites only) and my coworker ordered the shrimp and grits. Our food were delivered to us fairly quickly. I liked my loaded scramble. It had onions, bacon, melted cheese, and lots of raw scallions. I didn't care for the scallion at all and can totally do without them as garnish. Country potato medley, on the other hand, was delicious. The roasted sweet potatoes were naturally sweet and flavorful on its own. My coworker's shrimp and grits tasted pretty good too. The sauteed garlic shrimp and sausage really enhanced the otherwise bland but creamy grits. It was a dish that came together quite cohesively. Overall, I thought Bruncheonette served really decent brunch food! I wish I got to try the sticky buns, pancakes, or french toasts. read more

Honestlyyy I was not impressed. The food is composed well I think, but the flavor is just not there. That being said, the service was great they were really nice and the place had a nice vibe. But I would say the food is overpriced We got the light roast French press which was pretty good but little sour at the end. They have a lot of different kinds of mimosas he got the cozy caramel which he really liked but I thought was too sweet. I got the coconut squeeze but it wasn't as coconutty as I'd hoped. I couldn't taste much cardamom in the French toast and the texture was a bit dry. Same with the bun on his breakfast burger. Flavor was okay on that one. The breakfast tacos really let me down I had to put hot sauce guac and sour cream on it and they were hard to eat. Tbh if I lived here I probably would not go there again sadly read more

Poor choice ownership. Pretty much nobody likes to be told what to do. Asking is the best policy 95% of the time. Service fees are robbery in my opinion, pay your staff the wage they deserve, increase your food prices, a mandatory undisclosed 16% is ridiculous. Too bad, fun inside touch. Love everything about this place: the hearty, flavorful breakfast meals, the bright and festive atmosphere (with fun food-themed wall art), the awesome mimosa concoctions, and the excellent service (the people who work there seem very happy to do so!) I've tried the chicken biscuits, the tamale waffle, the veggie burger (my fave!), and the chicken and waffles, and they were all excellent. Creative flavors. Cooked well. The portions are huge, and I wish we could take leftovers, but they wouldn't survive our frantic errand days and the long drive home. I love how creative their mimosas are, too, and I've had the POG (warning: not G for guava but yummy), the Lavender (very strong on the L, but refreshing), the Tajin-go (amazing!), the huckleberry lemon drop (2nd fave), and the cherry lemonade (total fave). Left this on Google but also sharing to the people of yelp: I was disappointed in my visit. Instead of being greeted at the door I was told that I could not bring in outside drinks. I thought this rule is a bit silly considering you do not offer espresso products (at a breakfast spot!). My beverage was purchased at a small, family-owned coffee shop just down the road. If you only serve drip coffee why make such a fuss? I would have enjoyed my food if I had my morning coffee with my meal. Define VEGAN?? Animal free. Non-dairy. There is a VEGAN item on the menu that is NOT VEGAN. The vegan tacos might be non animal. But when you serve it with potato's that are fried in the same oil as animals, it is no longer vegan. Why must I ask in every restaurant for you to define VEGAN. You don't know my reasons for ordering vegan and YOU make an assumption that it's okay for me to eat something based on your erroneous definition. My husband and I went to bruncheonette for breakfast I'd like to say first off the food is great I'd give u a five star rating for food but the service I received was terrible.. okay let's get on to the complaint I don't like that I was not told about the 16 percent service fee and let me be honest here I totally understand that people are crap and don't tip. I was a waiter so I do know how to tip .when we got our bill I seen a 16 percent service fee I asked are waitress can u tell me about the service fee she then says it's a service fee lol I always tip 20 percent if I get good service I've been known to tip 35 percent. I did not get good service at all my glass was empty I wanted another mimosa was not asked how my food was just forgotten. I called in today and asked to speak to a manager or owner the lady on the phone kindly said there was no one I could speak to to leave a complaint in the complaint box so I vented to here about it I asked her what the 16 percent was she then told me a percentage goes to the front of the house and the back of the house so the 16% tip that's added to the bill does not all go to our waitress so then you have to tip another 20% I'm not okay with this at all !!! read more

If you are looking for chicken and waffles or killer chicken fried steak this is the bomb. The only reason, I am giving it 4 stars is they totally got one of our 4 orders wrong...like a completely different meal and they weren't very great at trying to make it better or comp us. So my father-in-law ate the meal that came but (them) pretending like it didnt happen doesnt earn customer service points so that was kind of sad. I just feel like an apology, a discount or an attempt to make the correct meal would have made the experience better but they kind of just walked away from the problem and never came back to address it. I usually can find several things to order at regular breakfast places, but only found two options on the menu, a cinnamon waffle and a side of fried potatoes. I ordered both. The waffle was way to sweet, to the point of not finishing it. The potatoes had excellent seasoning on them. If I do venture back here, I would be satisfied with a double side of potatoes and coffee. This little restaurant was a great find! The food is made from top quality ingredients and mostly made from scratch. The bacon sticky bun is so delicious and is worth breaking your diet for!!! The best!!! My husband fall in love with the brisket hash, melt in your mouth! The chilaquiles were delicious, especially with the jalapeno and habanero hot sauces they serve. I can't wait to come here again! Very cute little restaurant with a nice little patio. I had the Reuben with tater tots with a pomegranate mimosa. The mimosa was delicious! The Reuben was very good as well. My friend had the burrito and it was HUGE!!! She absolutely loved it though. Great service as well. I can't wait to try the breakfast!! It was hard to choose between a 3 or 4 star rating. I can't say I'm motivated to come back, however I know some people who love this place (for the breakfast burrito). If you are using the QR code for the menu, make sure you scroll back up. My brother and I both completely missed the waffle and French toast section of the menu, which was disappointing. I ended up ordering the smoked brisket with potatoes. It came with a mix of sweet potatoes and russet potatoes, even though it doesn't say that on the menu. The sweet potatoes did not go with the dish but the smoked brisket was really tasty. I was excited to try the coffee after reading reviews but it wasn't for me. I could tell it was a good roast but it is definitely a light roast. The service was good but a little slow. We were seated right away. I love Bruncheonette! From the servers to the ambiance and decor to the amazing food, this place is great! I have yet to try all the items on the menu that I want, but the ones I've had have been so unique and delicious. The Tamale Waffle! A must-try! I love going here if I happen to be in that area during breakfast time. Thank god I don't live nearby or else I'd be there all the time. Their coffee is also really good, even as drip black. Anyone visiting Spokane has to give this place a try! It is definitely one of the more innovative restaurants in the area and a good preview to the direction that the food scene in Spokane is taking.
