Came on a Tuesday for a mid workday lunch with some friends, and this spot was pretty busy. Plenty…read moreof seating inside, very chill, homestyle feeling Mexican joint with great tacos. Seems like a lot of people stop by here midday for lunch. Prices were fantastic, honestly some of the most affordable taco prices I've seen in Austin in a while. Al pastor tacos were listed around $2 each, and some of their other tacos ran a little more standard, around $3 or so. They also offer nachos and burritos. They have fries too, though I was a little bummed they don't have al pastor fries specifically, since I'm a sucker for those. Otherwise they've got all the standard Mexican plates and dishes covered. Al Pastor Quesadilla ($11.99, 6/10) - Comes with four quesadillas filled with al pastor meat, plus a side of sour cream, salsa, and guacamole - Portions were moderate to slightly small, wished they were a bit bigger - Wanted them a little crispier, they were hot but not the crispiest, and the cheese was melty but the overall texture felt like a bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the meal - Al pastor itself was very delicious though, that part redeemed the dish - They also have red and green side sauces, the green is super spicy, the red is spicy too but a little creamier. If I come back, I'd probably just get a bunch of al pastor tacos instead and skip the quesadillas. If you're someone who likes super crispy quesadillas, you might want to skip this one too, though it's possible mine just wasn't as crispy as it could've been on this particular visit. Overall, super chill spot with great prices and good al pastor, true to the restaurant's name. Would come back for a quick bite, but might steer clear of the quesadillas next time.

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk). Give them a shot, and thank the ladies in the kitchen.

Decided to come in and the cashier greeted us and was really nice and patient because of questions with the menu. The Taco Bueno is what I had ordered and requested no potato. Sat down and after a few seconds, chips & salsa was delivered. Then after a few minutes, the food came. Quick service for sure and the food, AMAZING.
