The problem is that I ended up abandoned by the waitress, so no desserts, no additional drinks, and no check. I literally had to wander about the restaurant for at least 5 to 10 minutes just to ask for someone (anyone!) to bring me a check, which eventually arrived. On my way out, I told the hostess that they should try to keep an eye on patrons, as (if I were not of some moral principles) one could simply leave without paying. John was a college sociology and business major involved in urban community service and interested in social work. He was a high school student leader, a class officer, and a student representative to the School Committee, Governance Council and the MA Dept. of Education. John was a high school athlete who played basketball and soccer; he was the Captain of WHS Varsity basketball. John received many awards: Boy's State, Outstanding Service Award, and Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators Association Student Achievement Award for School Leadership. He was the recipient of the Lorusso and Rossi Scholarships. ​ More important than his many accomplishments, John has been described by many as an exemplary human being, who was kind, caring and sensitive beyond his years. He made everyone feel as though they were his best friend.
