Omg I tried their milk tea and taro milk tea and both were one of the best milk teas I've ever had even better than some of the top boba shops for a couple of dollars less in price. The wonton noodle soup comes with a good proportion of noodles, bok choy, and well-seasoned shrimp wontons. Price is affordable which makes it appealing to come back. So great food, cleanliness, great customer service, and great prices. Definitely a 5/5 in my book! Street parking can be tough during peak hours, but do-able and you may have to walk for a bit.

The food honestly reminded me of a mother's cooking after a long day -- simple, comforting, and satisfying. When I went, you order at the counter first and they give you a number card, then you can grab any available table. It can get busy at times, but I went right when they were starting to pick up, so it wasn't too crowded. Utensils, water, and napkins are all self-serve. I usually like ordering things I wouldn't normally make at home, so I went with the French toast since it was a little different from your typical French toast. It was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and filled with custard. The syrup tasted almost like a lighter, more watery condensed milk, but it wasn't overly sweet or overpowering, which I really enjoyed. The pork belly over rice was probably my favorite. It was so comforting and reminded me of Vietnamese braised pork belly with eggs -- definitely the kind of dish that feels like home. I also tried the oolong iced tea. It was refreshing and good, although nothing too out of the ordinary. Overall, this is a great spot if you're looking for affordable Michelin-recognized food with a cozy, comforting feel. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

We ordered four dishes, Dan Dan Mian, sichuan eggplant, chili wonton, and duck bao. The Dan Dan was unique. I didn't expect it to be spicy like all the other ones I've tried. But it was amazing! All of them were! Reservations are strongly recommended since it gets filled up pretty easily. Lastly, I want to give our waiter, Peter, a huge shoutout for being so attentive and engaging. The braised pork belly was so incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth, and paired with the pickled carrots and cucumbers tucked into that steamed bao bun - so juicy. The wood ear mushroom and bean curd stick salad was a nice lighter contrast to the heavier dishes too. We tried the beef noodles as well. The noodles were a bit on the tougher side, which is kind of expected with this style, but the flavors were solid overall. But do NOT sleep on dessert. I had to order the deep fried bao bun with ice cream scoop inside and it was delicious. Absolutely worth saving room for if you're looking to end your meal off with a sweet treat! Parking is easy with plenty of street parking nearby. Service was amazing, everyone is professional yet not stuffy and had a smile on their faces. They were purely entertained by how excited I was as every dish was delivered to my table. I'm not going to go into every photo I took but wanted to call out the amazing drink program and the uniqueness of the presentation. Well deserved James Beard 2026 Winner (Outstanding wine & other beverage program)! Especially the boabing with the shaved ice. It was strong, don't let the shave ice fool you. I really wanted that spoon straw so badly! The kude, white negroni was also refreshing. The food was perfectly presented. It rang true on the authentic asian nostalgia theme!! I have tasted everything I ate during my visit, but the presentation was messing with my mind because it was so fancy. Not sure how else to describe it but a mind F. My favorites has to be the add on, uni with caviar. It was well balanced with the flavor, texture, the whole thing was enjoyable. I could probably ate a few more and be satisfied. Although I paid attention to the fish they mentioned in each dish, I am bad at recalling it. The sour vegetables broth was my absolute favorite dish! The broth brought me back to my childhood, it had a nice kick and the fish was well prepared. I also enjoyed the lobster and i did remember what the foam (emulsion from the head of the lobster and its shell) was made of. Honestly, I get excited when I see the foam/emulsion at every Michelin I have been to! Is it really Michelin without some foam? I think not! Also the duck was perfect and the mochi was also delicious. Sorry, i'm not more elegant with my descriptions, but it was amazing. It was savory. I also loved the hand written note with "We wish you many more years of good food and fortune!" That was a wonderful special touch. Go check it out for yourself, you will not regret it. Just remember gratuity is included and also don't forget the tax when you're thinking about the total price. My bill came out to $540 with 2 drinks, and the caviar add on $45 I don't do this often so it was well worth it for the entire experience. They also give you a little tin of tea to take home.

Date of experience: July 16, 2026…read more This review is a little overdue, but because this is a Michelin two-star restaurant and it was an important dinner, I wanted to share my experience. I came here with two VIP guests for a special dinner. Unfortunately, experiences like this make me question the credibility of the Michelin star system. Based on this particular evening, I simply could not understand the two-star rating. For three guests, we had the tasting menu, one wine pairing, one non-alcoholic pairing, and an additional glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The total bill, including gratuity, was approximately $1,900. At this level and price point, I believe it is fair to judge the restaurant by a much higher standard. Food: From beginning to end, too many dishes tasted surprisingly similar. The same flavor profiles, seasonings, and familiar ingredients seemed to repeat throughout the meal. After several courses, it became monotonous. When dishes are presented in such small, precise portions, I expect extraordinary attention to detail, contrast, creativity, and variety. Unfortunately, I did not experience that here. Wine pairing: The pours were extremely small. In the middle of one course, I politely asked the server, with a smile, if I could have just a little more. His reaction made me uncomfortable--he gave me what felt like an unfriendly look and poured only a few additional drops. I have dined at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and I have rarely experienced such a stingy atmosphere surrounding a wine pairing. Service: This was perhaps the biggest disappointment. The service did not feel particularly warm, gracious, or attentive. The restaurant was only about one-third full that evening, and several staff members appeared to be standing around, yet I still had to call someone over to ask for water. When dishes arrived, the explanations were very brief, and the server would quickly disappear. At a two-star restaurant, service should be an important part of the experience--not simply the delivery of food. Atmosphere: The restaurant itself is minimalist, clean, and modern, which I appreciated. However, I also felt the staff attire could be more polished and refined to complement the level of dining experience the restaurant is trying to provide. Earning two Michelin stars is an extraordinary accomplishment, and I respect what that represents. But with a nearly $1,900 dinner for three, expectations are understandably very high. I hope the restaurant continues developing the menu, retrains its service staff to provide a warmer and more gracious experience, and pays greater attention to the small details that distinguish a very good restaurant from a truly exceptional one.

It was a but busy when we got there but luckily we got seared pretty shortly after arrival. We originally wanted to sit at the bar, but opted for a table for less wait time. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. This that wonton place your girl tells you not to worry about forreal. Will be coming back despite the long drive from home.
