Awful manager named Mario. He should be fired. The food that was brought out wasn't prepared properly and tasted weird, hence we sent it back and his attitude was disgusting. He was very rude and not professional at all. We sent it back immediately, and he acted as though that was an issue, he even walked off while we were talking. Very disrespectful! Thankfully Tina made our experience a ton better so we left her a fruitful tip! None the less, we will not be returning! Went to this diner and ordered a stake meal, which was ok. The crab soup that came with it was cold, but we let it go and did not complain. I also ordered the creole shrimp and rice meal at the recommendation of our server. The creole rice dish was so mushy that I couldn't eat any after 1 bite. I told the server that the rice was very mushy and I didn't like the food. She immediately said she would get the manager. The manager Gaily came over and told me that the rice was supposed to be mushy because it is creole rice. I told her the rice is way over cooked, l have had creole rice before. She then tells me she can't take it back because the restaurant will lose money. At this point I'm shocked that she is arguing with me over how soft the rice should be. I have never heard a restaurant claim they will lose money over a dish. Expecially a $12 dish that consist of 95% rice, the food cost is probably less than $2.00. The worst part is I never asked for a refund. I would have been ok with a coupon, free desert or something like that. Anyway I just told her I don't care just take it back. She then walks off muttering something to herself. She was very unprofessional. After that we just immediately left without even finishing our other food. We definitely won't be back. I frequent this diner probably 2-3 a month. Partly because it's near to me, and partly because there is quite a variety. The staff is friendly and the food is great. They were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and that may have something to do with their prices being a little bit higher than some diners. The gyro platter is my favorite and it's NOT skimpy. They always bring out nice fresh bread, and they always have a beautiful Showcase of desserts! what more do you need for your eating pleasure? She didn't even look up to acknowledge me then told me I couldn't then when a manager came over to ask if she could help& the cashier said "I'm busy and she's bothering me." After coming here for years, we just couldn't take the lack of customer focus any longer no matter how good the food. After having spent $6 on my Starbucks latte, we walked in for lunch. Normally we'd drop about $30 including tip. The hostess looked at my cup and let me know that there was a policy against bringing in outside beverages and would I like her to either hold it for me or throw it away. I will go to Broadways Diner to get breakfast at any time of day since they are open 24/7. The large selection on the menu can be overwhelming and I would stick with breakfast items or Greek food. I would recommend the Lumber Jack breakfast platter if you are in mood for a big breakfast. read more

This review takes place over two days and two different meals Saturday the 9th after 10PM and Sunday the 10th at about 1:30 PM OMG. So the menu of this place is extensive, like a typical diner they do everything from Greek to BBQ to Latin. The only problem for such a vast menu is execution. They can do it good but not great. I went in on Saturday night and saw that there were now even more items on the menu. So we decided to try two of the new things The Cuban Sandwich and Pulled Pork grilled Mac N Cheese sandwich. I'll start with the Cuban. If your like me when ever you see a Cuban on the menu you order it and hope for the best but expect the worst. The craziest thing is that a Cuban is not hard to do it is essentially 6 ingredients but getting it right seems to be a chore for all but a select few. Here are my gripes with this sandwich. The Cheese, how can you get it wrong? Its Swiss not Mozzarella. The roast pork lacked seasoning literally all it would of taken would have been a squeeze of lime juice and garlic or a little Goya Mojo sauce. Finally the bread, Listen I don't expect everyone to have cuban style bread, truthfully its not a deal breaker to the sandwich, but what is a deal breaker is when the bread is not pressed. Correct me if I'm wrong but Isn't that what Identifies this glorious sandwich the crispy pressed and flattened bread cut on a bias? C'mon try harder. I know you have a panini press back there ...use it. I'm not even going to get into the fact that they left off the yellow mustard. Seriously this place is so close that just with a couple of changes it would rival Versailles in Miami the home of the cuban sandwich. Until then my search continues............Fix it! The Pulled Pork BBQ Grilled Cheese with Mac n' Cheese on he other hand was a pleasant surprise it was a nice combo of cheesy pork goodness and the fries were good. The next day I decided to give them a second chance. Sunday it was breakfast on the mind. My friend ordered french toast and I ordered the pigs in a blanket. The french toast lacked a lot in presentation. It was just 3 pieces of french toast on a plate they weren't cut and no powdered sugar I think even the waiter realized how bad it looked we he specifically asked if we wanted him to go back for powdered sugar. And unfortunately the french toast was dry. I ordered the pigs in a blanket which is 3 sausage links wrapped in 3 pancakes. This also lacked in presentation but it was good, let me warn you the sausage links are huge. Lastly the were the Disco fries, I'm from NYC and Disco fries were a staple to every diner visit. Here the fries are good the gravy is awesome but I was expecting mozzorella and it came with cheddar, maybe its a mid atlantic thing. But it was very tasty. Finally this place is plastered with pictures of Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Being from New York/New Jersey originally, I am no stranger to diners. There is something magical about having 200 options to choose from at anytime of the day/night. I really love the Broadway Diner. You have colorful characters from all walks of life, the vintage appeal, and a great assortment of foods. The quality is about middle of the road for a diner, but since we don't have too many in Baltimore, it gets bumped up. My personal favorite is the greek omelet. They also have a good salmon salad. Things to skip: monte cristo, prime rib, and mac and cheese grilled cheese. read more

I have been to this diner too many times to count or remember, and each & every time I go the service is super fast, and the food is delicious!! You are seated with a glass of water, order taken right away, and my food never takes more than 15-20 minutes after being seated- even when they're super busy!! My order is always correct, and I have never had to send back my food for any reason. I started to give this diner a 4 star rating, but really I think it's more of a 3.5. I've come here many times and I have always enjoyed the food, although it's not exceptional. I prefer to come here for breakfast because the menu isn't so overwhelming. Good luck if you come here for lunch or dinner - I don't know where to begin with that menu! If you're feeling adventurous, you can try some of the more creative breakfast options. Red velvet pancakes, anyone? I like to stick to the basics - omelets, French Toast, and pancakes. The french toast is pretty standard, but honestly it's better than the french toast at some fancier brunch spots. The pancakes are excellent, but 3 pancakes are way too much for me. I've always had a good experience with the service as well. We often come here with my Nana, who has trouble walking, and we're always seated somewhere that is convenient for her. My family and I stopped in here on a weekend trip to Baltimore. We heard of the place through the Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives episode. I ordered the Disco Burger, which is a burger loaded with fries, gravy, and cheese. It was really and truly delicious. My siblings ordered burgers also which they greatly enjoyed. My parents ordered some of the greek specialities which they felt were over seasoned/oddly seasoned. Everyone really thought the fries were a highlight.. they're sort of like traditional diner fries, only lightly battered, which gives an extra crisp. They're so great! We did have a little bit of a wait for the food to come, but overall it was a good experience and we'd go back! read more

Great 24 hour restaurant. Pretty much it is like the Double T diner. Same food for the most part. They have a lot of really attractive waitresses. Me and my boys go up there a lot and try to pick up chicks. They have a bar and pretty much any kind of food you would want. There are rare occasions when service at a diner excels beyond anything you've received at the finest of restaurants, my experience at Broadway Diner was such an occasion. The waitress was not only cheerful and prompt, she was also wonderfully insightful regarding the restaurant's vast menu. She offered suggestions regarding food choices, and even accompanied us as we looked at the large dessert cases, explaining various pastries. In the end, we were most impressed with the restaurant's desserts. The pies are fabulous! The food at the Broadway Diner was nothing to write home about, but it's a pleasant place to go to whenever you are up for a late dinner. They open 24/7, so I just happen to go there at 2am one night when I couldn't fall asleep. They have a couple of daily special deals on the weekend such as their Prime Rib and their Food Network's "Diners Drive-in, & Dive" specials. Although I was tempted to get one of those special, I chose to have their breakfast. Their breakfast was very affordable. As for their quality, they tasted just fine for a guy who was halfway asleep. Except, I do have to complain about their potatoes which were served with the omelet. It was undercooked. What used to be a favorite, and all time go to, has turned to sheer disappointment. My dining experience was less than the one star I can give this review. The service on this given day was absolutely horrendous. I ordered an California Omelette and when the omelette was served, it was served differently than listed in the menu. Unfortunately I did not like the way it was served, and asked the manager to make it how it was described in the menu. The manager took my food in the back and returned to my table saying that the owner wouldn't allow them to redo the meal because "avocados are too expensive". I then asked how they would rectify the situation and she persisted with me I am able to order something else, but still have to pay for the other meal as well. naturally that was unacceptable and I asked to speak to the owner. I was first lied to and told the owner wasn't there, then she (the manager) changed her story and said she would "try to get him, if he comes out". The manage comes out yelling in his restaurant that he has made this omelette the same way for 12 years and have never had a problem. Even after explaining that the omelette is described differently in his menu he says aggressively and sternly, "I don't know what you want me to do I can't help you, we aren't making it over". I asked for the check and to pay for the items that were consumed, and received a check that had $6 in miscellaneous charges on my bill. I could only assume they made things up to compensate for the meal. I disputed the miscellaneous charges and the manager became irate and begin snatching things from me and slamming various items around the cash register. After totaling the items consumed and the state tax, I paid that portion of the bill as she told me to "just get out". She began to scream and make threats toward me and another with me, as other restaurant guests dined. This was a horrid experience, and it saddens me that owners and other management staff don't value customer service anymore. I will never dine here again. read more

I adore this place. The service is outstanding. I have never ordered the same thing twice, and every time I am amazed by how tasty everything is. My lady friend always gets the Gyro and a Greek Salad. Their house dressing is excellent. My favorite thing there is the BBQ pulled pork and Mac and cheese sandwich. It is an amazing combo of southern style BBQ and some of the creamiest mac and cheese around. It's like two unicorns sword fighting in your mouth. Unless you really want dessert, make sure to avoid the dessert display on your way out. If you stop and admire the deliciousness it holds, you will be powerless to stop yourself from buying. read more
