Very nice little cafe in the heart of Luray. Had the bread pudding, quiche, biscuits /gravy, hot chocolate, coffee. Everything was really good. The service is quite fast even when really booming. Service is really helpful!

Fantastic little café. We came in on a Sunday morning around 10:00 and it was packed. Amazingly, with a line snaking around tables, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to order and food was ready in under 5. Seeing how much looked good and we were tourists, we over-ordered and got to try a little of everything. From the summer menu, we got Biscuit and Gravy, Paradise Parfait, and the Bread Pudding. I enjoyed my biscuit and gravy - pretty solid. Child #1 devoured his parfait (I tried it and I think it may have been my favorite item - they also have a vegan chia seed option - a woman was enjoying hers next to us when we waited in line), and my wife loved the bread pudding, which has a nice maple glaze to it. We also grabbed several of their pastries, including some scones, a muffin, and a buckwheat cake slice. All were great, though the buckwheat pastry was a tad dry. They have a lot of standard offerings of a coffee shop - teas, coffees, lattes, etc. I got a matcha latte and found it to be earthy and not too sweet. The inside is a bit narrow, especially when you consider a long line. The staff are efficient but don't lose their warm hospitality. Broad Porch has an Air BNB "Loft in Luray" located upstairs. I imagine it would be wonderful waking up to the smell of coffee and pastries. I would say if you're visiting Luray, Broad Porch is a MUST VISIT. There's something for everyone. Highly recommended.

Loved their espresso tonic! I also got their salmon & cream cheese toast that was delicious with arugula and radish slices on top. My husband's breakfast burrito was a hefty burrito!! It had cheese, egg, steak and potatoes. Interior of the coffee shop was also adorable. I loved their wall mural.

Great coffee shop in Luray. Great music and good vibes. Quick service and the coffee itself was amazing. A really good place to work from if need be. Didn't get to try the food but it looked really good

Broad Porch Coffee was so cute, we visited two days in a row. Both times, they were quite busy, but we were able to snag some seating. The interior was cozy with nice decor - exposed brick, a wall mural, comfy booth/couch seating, and a section for merch. They also had a small outdoor area in the back, but it was all high-top seating. The only non-cute element were the unfriendly staff members. They weren't super warm towards the patrons, and were even less nice to each other, which was a bit jarring. Otherwise, we had a good experience! The first time, I ordered the Salmon & Dill Toast and an unsweetened Mango Iced Tea. The Salmon & Dill Toast was great - tasty, filling, cute presentation. The Mango Iced Tea was pretty standard, but refreshing. The next day, I got a Breakfast Sammie with no bacon (pretty good, but I'm sure it's better with bacon) and a Lemon Poundcake Cold Brew. The Lemon Poundcake syrup was subtle and very unique - interesting to try, but maybe not one I'd repeat. However, my friend's Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte was fantastic. Overall, good for coffee and a light breakfast!

What a sweet coffee shop! We had such a great time. We stopped in, got coffees, got beans, and enjoyed lounging in the AC on a warm day. The staff was so friendly, I wish we weren't so full so we could dig into their beautiful looking pastries! The espresso tonic is definitely a must try, we recommend the orange with it!

Chill vibes, friendly staff and high quality coffee / food is what you'll find at Broad Porch Coffee! We had the breakfast Sammy which was absolutely delicious. At first I was worried it wouldn't be filling enough but it was the perfect amount of food. We of course snagged some coffee and loved our drinks so much we came back just a day or two later for some more!

Had a delicious latte with their special seasonal flavor "black sesame" and it was sooo good. The bean quality was definitely excellent and the latte was made with lots of care and attention. The space is also really cozy and well designed.

Absolutely loved the cold brew, not harsh nor aftertaste! The vibes were amazing and VERY busy on a Saturday in the fall (of course!) at 0830... I think the only complaint I have is that I'd love if it were open a wee bit earlier!

    The counter to order

The ambience in here is so fun. I love the mid century and antique furniture mix and the stenciled walls. The coffee shop was filled with people of all ages and backgrounds. I tried the matcha scone - delicious. Also got an oat milk iced latte with the housemade brown sugar syrup - came out great and not too sweet. Staff was friendly. Our only suggestion is that the counter to order gets super cramped because it's also right where the food orders get placed when ready. If they put the ready orders on the left end of the counter (where a staff was rolling silverware) it would alleviate congestion.

Even with a long line, Broad Porch kept things moving and got the food and drinks out fast! I had a lavender latte that was spectacular -- and I'm a pretty picky coffee snob, so that's saying something. The first day I tried the breakfast burrito (super filling and delicious), and the next day I wasn't as hungry so I went for the vegan chia seed pudding with granola ... so yummy I actually tried to recreate it at home (still not quite as good as theirs!). Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area -- definitely worth it!

We had such a wonderful experience at Broad Porch Coffee! The salmon and dill toast was absolutely incredible--the presentation alone was beautiful, and it tasted even better. Everything was so fresh and perfectly balanced. It was so good that we ended up ordering two more to go just so our older teens could try it too! We also had the kale and roasted grape salad, and it was exactly what my palate needed--light, refreshing, and full of flavor. You can really tell they put thought into every ingredient. Overall, such a great spot with amazing food and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!

The matcha and iced coffees were great! I really enjoyed the lox on open faced toast. My friend got a breakfast sandwich which they enjoyed as well. The ambiance was very earthy and welcoming. The workers were sweet and helpful. Great place to stop after a hike or exploring Luray!

Epic Grandma painting. Where can I get one?!

It was delicious with some onions and what tasted like bacon fat on it. The kiddos got items from the kids' menu - a simple pasta and a small pizza. There was a special while we visited (Oktoberfest, I think) that had some fantastic German items, including a killer schnitzel with sour red cabbage and mashed potatoes. It was fantastic. I got a couple of the on-tap beers and enjoyed them much. There is a respectable cocktail menu (any of them can be made mocktail if you want). One thing I appreciated very much was how family-friendly the place is. Our waitress saw Child #3 starting to melt down and brought him over some toys to play with, commenting that she had kids of her own. Indeed, in the corner, there is a whole table full of toys for kids to play with. Even the bathroom has a full changing table setup, which is way better than those wall changing tables. Overall, a great experience.

I flagged someone over to ask for new water (for the record there was no one dining here and plenty of workers) and the lady stared at me and after 15 seconds said can you repeat that. I said the water tasted funny can we please get a new one. She said, "the water tastes funny here." The server brought us the mozzarella sticks and then said do you want any plates. (Mind you there were 5 of us) and I said he's. He said, "how many" I said for everyone???? I'm not sure why you have to ask. He also later asked us if we wanted a refill... of water. I mean... can't you just refill it without asking? Then our mozzarella sticks came out and one didn't have any cheese in it. To be fair I flagged the server down and I said get I get one and showed him the empty cheese. And he said, "with cheese in it?" They brought back two which was good. The food arrived for the kids first and adults waited like 5 more minutes. So everyone was eating at different times. The burger my kiddo got he said tasted funny and the other older kid said it had a weird aftertaste. I said I didn't want to pay for something that tasted funny. The guy went back to the kitchen and came back and said they were cooking another one. I was frustrated because I didn't want another one. I said I didn't want to PAY for something inedible. He said, "well we can't do that because our boss isn't here." And I was like okay fine just give us the check, it will just be reflected in my review. He came back after like 5 minutes and said his manager said they could take it off. Okay so now the portions were pathetic. The Philly cheese steaks were on hot dog buns and it wasn't even fully filled. The kiddo said the pasta was good. It did look decent. I feel like it's hard to screw up pasta though. The chicken parm sandwich barely had any cheese or sauce on it and was on a flimsy hamburger bun. I'm pretty embarrassed I spent $75 for such a pathetic dining experience. I would not recommend anyone go here.

I had been messaging the owner, Tony, weeks prior to arriving and he had seemed very supportive and excited to have us. We had planned to have a printed menu with catered specifically to us and when we arrived all we got was a tacky birthday balloon on the table. The hostess was definitely treating us differently and we were some of the only people of color in the restaurant. I have been to other places in the Shenandoah area and I have never experienced something like this where I just felt like I wasn't welcomed at all. I highly recommend Rhouse Wine if you want a similar vibe with very accepting and friendly staff. I had gone up to tell the hostess about my previous emails with the owner and she said "oh I forgot I got a text about something but the printer is down". She was being very dismissive and condescending towards us but very friendly towards everyone else. I really feel conflicted about this because the food was great (except the short ribs were too salty) and our server seemed nice. But I felt rushed on my way out when we got our bill just after receiving our dessert and I had noticed that people kept getting little gifts from the server with their bill and that never came. We didn't even get a candle or anything on the dessert. What was supposed to be a special night, turned into a terrible experience I hope no one ever has to encounter.

Every staff member we encountered was kind and seemed happy to be a part of Porch & Vine. The owner stopped by our table to say hello and check in on our experience which was a really nice touch as well. Finally and most importantly, the food was delicious too! This genuinely might have been the best steak my husband and I have ever had. The charcoal grill flavor was AMAZING. Our pork belly appetizer was very flavorful and tender. The only constructive feedback I will give was that for the high price, I do feel that my scallop entree needed to be a little larger. It's served in an appetizer size plate and left me feeling hungry. Drink wise, we really appreciated that the drinks could be ordered spirit-free or with the paired liquor. The drink menu was extensive too! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend you stop in this new gem downtown. The curated decor, friendly staff, and from-scratch kitchen really set this place apart. We can't wait to come back and try their brunch as well!

So, this place had awesome service. The waitress was polite, attentive and yet her broken English worked perfectly for the position she was in. She knew the menu and came back to check on us more than a few times. 4/5 stars for the service. She was the best thing about the place. For the food, 1 star. The pictures on the yelp site showing the food explain it all. Notice some images show the food with excess liquid, I mean watery beans without any flavor? And then the rice was served without any seasoning. The guacamole came with huge chunks of tomatoes and it was hard to separate the avocado from the tomatoes. When we sat the waitress brought out chips and salsa. Half the chips were going stale. The salsa was good but more of a liquid consistency. We asked the chips be sent back and new ones brought out. The waitress did without a complaint. Then the things went downhill fast. My wife ordered the Chicken Fajitas for two, "Meh." I asked her about the beans and rice, "Meh." At least the margarita was good. It was sweet, but that is common and can depend on someone else's palate. She requested the corn tortillas because she forgot to order them at the beginning. The waitress brought them out without a problem. They tasted, "Meh." I ordered the Deluxe Burrito, it came out looking like a Picasso done by a three year old, filled with beef from a chef who used to work at the Bell. I tried to eat it but, "Meh." Long and short, nothing had seasoning unless it had the wrong seasoning and nothing was done right. This place deserves a 1 star.
