Excellent coffee and service in a cute environment. Try the traditional cappuccino and the Almond Danish.

Coffee, dogs allowed and chill vibes. Need I say more? (Apparently yelp thinks so, be used that isn't enough characters.)

I'm not a coffee drinker but it was Sunday brunch and every other restaurant had really long wait times so we ended up at Coffee Hound. Hoping coffee would quell our hunger for a while. I ordered a cappuccino with a shot of mocha, and my girlfriend ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and a shot of caramel. To be honest, I couldn't taste the flavor shots in either. The main difference between the two seemed to be in the type of milk used, where the oat milk had a slightly more rustic flavor. I'll be honest, I didn't like my drink but what did I expect ordering coffee as someone who doesn't like it. Very strong flavor, not that sweet. But I think the baristas made the order quickly and accurately. Someone who enjoys coffee would have enjoyed the cappuccino.

Beautiful little coffee shop that had many coffee options. The staff was friendly and the the shop was really clean. I tried the strawberry latte and lemon poppy seed muffin. The coffee was great and the muffin had a good flavor but, it was served cold and it made it seem really dry. I would suggest asking them to warm up the muffin for a couple seconds.

I loved trying this dog-friendly coffee shop. They replaced Shenandoah Joe's so I was excited to try it out. I got their iced matcha (which I've never had matcha before and they're the only place in Harrisonburg that I could find that makes it) and it was pretty good. I'll have to come back to get my usual mocha to truly see if they're good. Nice seating and has a comfy dark vibe with some nice windows around too. They have local artists work around the shop to buy which is a nice touch. The aesthetic is dark, rustic, and wooden. I can't wait to come back and try some more things from here!!

Drifters Café is the kind of place you stumble into once and wonder how you ever lived without it. Tucked away in Harrisonburg, it's got a relaxed, unpolished charm that feels instantly inviting like your cool friend's loft but with better espresso. The coffee? Legit. Smooth, bold, and just the right amount of creative. Their iced Mexi Mocha hits you with a hint of spice that somehow makes you feel more awake and alive than your average caffeine fix. What sets Drifters apart is how effortlessly comfortable it feels. There's no forced aesthetic or overly curated playlist just friendly people, natural light, and a space that feels like it was made for slowing down. Whether you're catching up with a friend, deep in your laptop, or just people watching over a hot latte, it never feels like you're overstaying your welcome. If you're looking for good coffee, a chill and friendly atmosphere, or you just want to lock in and get some work done. Drifters is where you want to be

The place was pretty empty at 7:30am on a Saturday morning, but I'm not complaining at all. Service was really good. I got the avocado bagel with everything seasoning on top and a vanilla latte. Both were made well. I was expecting an avocado spread, but was nicely surprised when I saw that it was actual slices of avocado. It was delicious and kept me full for a good amount of time! I loved it here and would return.

The location was spacious -- there's the cafe side where they make drinks and have plenty of tables/seating and the cat playground side where you can play with cats! If you don't want to play with the cats, you can just watch them from the cafe side. We ordered our drinks and made a 1-hour reservation to play with the adorable kittens. The reservation process was pretty easy -- we didn't have to wait long because it wasn't so busy. You can reserve online or walk-in, then you just sign a waiver. It was so much fun playing with the cats. They are well taken care of and have plenty of toys. I also appreciated how clean and hygienic the space was (they have hand sanitizers and cloth covers you put over your shoes before you enter the kitty space). You can also bring your drinks inside. I also want to mention that the drinks here are amazing. I've been to a few cat cafes before -- some just offered packaged snacks/drinks and some had a fully functioning cafe but the drinks were okay. This cat cafe had all kinds of teas and coffee/espresso drinks. They also have special seasonal drinks. My husband and I got the Vietnamese Matcha and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. Wasn't expecting this cat cafe to actually be as good as a neighborhood cafe! I will definitely be coming back here if we are ever in the area again!
