We had such a wonderful experience at Broad Porch Coffee!…read more The salmon and dill toast was absolutely incredible--the presentation alone was beautiful, and it tasted even better. Everything was so fresh and perfectly balanced. It was so good that we ended up ordering two more to go just so our older teens could try it too! We also had the kale and roasted grape salad, and it was exactly what my palate needed--light, refreshing, and full of flavor. You can really tell they put thought into every ingredient. Overall, such a great spot with amazing food and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic little café. We came in on a Sunday morning around 10:00 and it was packed. Amazingly,…read morewith a line snaking around tables, we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to order and food was ready in under 5. Seeing how much looked good and we were tourists, we over-ordered and got to try a little of everything. From the summer menu, we got Biscuit and Gravy, Paradise Parfait, and the Bread Pudding. I enjoyed my biscuit and gravy - pretty solid. Child #1 devoured his parfait (I tried it and I think it may have been my favorite item - they also have a vegan chia seed option - a woman was enjoying hers next to us when we waited in line), and my wife loved the bread pudding, which has a nice maple glaze to it. We also grabbed several of their pastries, including some scones, a muffin, and a buckwheat cake slice. All were great, though the buckwheat pastry was a tad dry. They have a lot of standard offerings of a coffee shop - teas, coffees, lattes, etc. I got a matcha latte and found it to be earthy and not too sweet. The inside is a bit narrow, especially when you consider a long line. The staff are efficient but don't lose their warm hospitality. Broad Porch has an Air BNB "Loft in Luray" located upstairs. I imagine it would be wonderful waking up to the smell of coffee and pastries. I would say if you're visiting Luray, Broad Porch is a MUST VISIT. There's something for everyone. Highly recommended.

Looking for some good coffee in the Burg but you're tired of going to the same café?Don't trip, I…read moregot you. It's lowkey a hidden gem that I've been gatekeeping, it's worth the hype tho. Drifters Café is the kind of place you stumble into once and wonder how you ever lived without it. Tucked away in Harrisonburg, it's got a relaxed, unpolished charm that feels instantly inviting like your cool friend's loft but with better espresso. The coffee? Legit. Smooth, bold, and just the right amount of creative. Their iced Mexi Mocha hits you with a hint of spice that somehow makes you feel more awake and alive than your average caffeine fix. What sets Drifters apart is how effortlessly comfortable it feels. There's no forced aesthetic or overly curated playlist just friendly people, natural light, and a space that feels like it was made for slowing down. Whether you're catching up with a friend, deep in your laptop, or just people watching over a hot latte, it never feels like you're overstaying your welcome. If you're looking for good coffee, a chill and friendly atmosphere, or you just want to lock in and get some work done. Drifters is where you want to be

The place was pretty empty at 7:30am on a Saturday morning, but I'm not complaining at all. Service was really good. I got the avocado bagel with everything seasoning on top and a vanilla latte. Both were made well. I was expecting an avocado spread, but was nicely surprised when I saw that it was actual slices of avocado. It was delicious and kept me full for a good amount of time! I loved it here and would return.

Saw this place Friday afternoon after a client visit and decided this places sounded interesting…read moreand wanted to stop for a lunch with the wife on a drive the next day. So stopped in around 2pm on Saturday and at first glance of prices you'd probably think hmm a bit high for a slider but its a pretty good deal 2 sliders a side and you get a free drink. Wife and I got 4 sliders the Chicken Bacon Ranch, the Prime Rib Burger, and the Honey Mustard Chicken BLT. with Potato Salad and Macaroni Salad and two teas. There is clearly a sign that says everything is made fresh to order and this is not Fast Food. Yes it took a while but we didn't care we weren't in a hurry and the picnic tables were nice and so was the weather. When the food was ready it was neatly packed on a tray, the whole time we could smell our food cooking and we could tell we were in for a treat. We dug in to the Chicken Bacon Ranch first and were delighted, it was delicious the rolls were nicely toasted and had a great buttery garlic flavor. Next cracked open the Prime Rib burger and it was well seasoned and delicious with the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle, all were fresh delicious. Last was hands down our favorite as we have a palate for honey mustard and that was the Honey Mustard Chicken BLT. This was delicious I only got a few bites while my wife took the rest. Really can't complain about the sliders they were so good a meal is definitely 2 and a side as the sliders are of nice size and being sliders its nice to be able to have the ability to have various options for sandwiches to enjoy. Now if I had one complaint it would be the side salads they were generic nothing to write home about, edible not great, next time I think I would go with the fries as they are made to order and I absolutely believe that. Melissa is super friendly and hard working, I am glad I saw her place while driving through Elkton and was able to enjoy the food she is sharing, hopefully others will stop in and try her Sweet Tea and Sliders.
