The food is outstanding and in ample portions, The Angry Chef is a family restaurant and the whole family is involved, and they are super friendly, witty, charming, and they work so hard to please everyone. Our waitress is almost always, Lola, one of the daughter's working along with her sisters and her mother, in addition to Dad the chef. We absolutely love Lola and she always remembers the drink orders of 8 and sometimes 9 people without fail. More important like her sisters, mother, and father, she is always pleasant, cheerful, and delightful. The whole family has a wonderful sense of humor, and we never fail to have a good time. I strongly regard The Angry Chef as the best family Italian restaurant in the Hudson Valley and I enthusiastically recommend it!

I wasn't sure if the cornbread was gluten free but my husband said it was good. The beets were great -- spicy and savory. For main courses, he had the halibut and I had the shrimp -- I thought the halibut was tasty (I had a couple bites) and the shrimp was okay (not as much my sort of thing -- I liked the corn but maybe too much dill for me? We came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was super quiet and peaceful with not a lot of people, the perfect place to come to while family was out of town. Fun fact: 8 different wines are grown, harvested, fermented and bottled in their winery. They also have different flavored sangrias!
