We went to Brigs in the Forest for brunch after church on Sunday. If you go mid to late morning on Sunday, be ready to wait with the rest of Wake Forest getting out of church; we waited 45 minutes. But as always, it's worth the wait. No frills, good service, and consistently delicious and reasonably priced meals. I had The Beast - pictured below: a protein-packed go-to for my fellow weightlifting and fitness enthusiasts. Ok, yes, I went carb heavy but we're all allowed to splurge at times . PS for the manager, please get with the times and get a text service to notify patrons their table is ready. That poor young lady at the check-in desk ran the entire time inside and outside every time she had to let someone know their table was ready.

Another delicious meal at the "go-to" breakfast spot in Wake Forest. It's (still) a busy place... Always a line. Waited about 20 minutes with a promise of 30 minutes. They use pagers so you can wait outside or in your car. Waiting space inside is limited. Service is friendly and efficient, although rushed. Seemed like they could have been short a few servers but the team working hustles! Had crab cake benedict. A pair of well executed house-made crab cakes atop a could-have-been-toasted-more English muffin. The eggs perfectly poached - not too runny, not too hard. Hollandaise sauce is a unique horseradish-base. The horseradish is subtle and adds a nice touch. Served with a side of fruit. Definitely a solid breakfast place. Plan your visit around waiting for a table, but they will not disappoint.

I always love getting together with family for brunch. Brigs is one of my favorite places to enjoy great omelets, frittatas or just a great scrambled egg. Never disappointed with the service or food!

Double trouble chicken sandwich with fries

This was our second time here. We went for lunch this time. Meals tho at were ordered were the special burger The Caprese burger with fries, the Patty melt with sweet potato fries, the Reuben with fries and the chicken sandwich with fries. They have a special sandwich, burger and salad each month maybe? The caprese burger had a burger patty, fresh mozzarella, tomato and a drizzle of balsamic glaze and pesto spread. The burger was pretty gimmicky and wasn't anything too specials the best part the fresh mozzarella didn't taste much of the pesto probably because it was on the bun maybe if it had actually been on the burger to meld with the other items might have made a difference. The patty melt had lettuce, tomato, red onion and he added grilled onions and mushrooms. He enjoyed it and the fries had sprinkled sugar on them and were good. The chicken sandwich was called double trouble. It had lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, bacon, provolone and ranch dressing. The chicken was juicy and had a bite to it from the jalapenos. My Reuben was delicious. If the rye bread had a stronger rye taste it would have been a 10 out of 10! The corned beef was delicious and the sandwich had a perfect amount of dressing and sauerkraut! If I return I will get that again!! I also got the Almond Nutmuff A brown sugar and cinnamon glazed English muffin topped with toasted almonds and served with cream cheese. The cream cheese came on the side so you could add the amount you wanted and it helped mellow some of the sweetness from the sugar and had the perfect crunch to it as well! Yes, that's definitely a repeat item I will get again, Our server was great! Got everything right including all moderations.

This place was packed at noon on Saturday. It is very loud so this may not be the best place for a group to socialize. The menu offered a number of delicious sounding breakfast and lunch potions. The griddle combo came with 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, plus a side. The meal was definitely filling. It came hot hot and fairly quickly after ordering. The pancakes were bland and other than butter and syrup offered no other taste. Table of four. Solid average rating.

We stopped by Brigs in Wake Forest for breakfast and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The menu is full of variety and it's a solid place if you're in the mood for Southern breakfast staples: biscuits, grits, omelets, and all the comforting classics you'd expect. I got the Hildalgo omelette with a side of grits and bread which as you can see, the portion sizes are huge and tasted good. While the others at my table got chicken and waffles and a steak breakfast which they all really liked. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and our server was friendly and attentive throughout. It's clearly a local favorite with a steady crowd and a lively vibe. The only reason we're giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because when we asked for a coffee carafe for the table, the first pot we got was unfortunately burnt and basically undrinkable. We had to ask for a new one to be brought out, which they did, but it was a bit of a letdown. it was also super crowded and pretty loud for the space. Still, we'd definitely come back next time we're in the area, it's a great go-to spot for a hearty Southern breakfast.

Second time that I come to Brigs. I liked it the first time and I still like it today :). Solid menu, good service and reasonably priced. I came with my wife and 2 young kids to celebrate first day of school ! Everybody enjoyed it ! Place is clean and food is good. Waitress was very attentive. And portions had pretty decent size that we ended up taking some home ! I'll definitely will be coming a 3rd time. !

Food was delicious, portions are plenty and atmosphere is warming. Service was quick and server was diligent with refills.

It was super packed when we arrived, so I had high hopes. We waited for 40 minutes and were finally able to be seated. Our waitress came right away and got our drink order. The place isn't really bad, it gives me the vibes of a K&W's. I was a bit disappointed in the prices of the combos because I guess I'm spoiled by the prices of one of my favorite breakfast places in Greensboro. A combo with (waffles, pancakes, french toast) only eggs and a side is $11-$14 whereas I can get Bacon, ham, sausage, eggs, a side and pancakes for $12 at another place like this. It took about another 30 to 40 minutes to get our food. Everything looked pretty good. It's probably just me, but I wasn't too fond of the french toast, but my mom was. My breakfast potatoes were a bit cold when I received them. We did get a free side of fruit because the waitress just brought it out.

This is the best waffle I have ever had! It was so delicious--and so big I couldn't finish it! The menu was so full of delicious-sounding food that I didn't know what to pick! The waitress was very nice--she got me a new fork when I dropped mine. It has a very nice vibe in here too, with good music, a fish pond outside, and outdoor seating. Also, we came here with an older relative with a walker and she had no trouble getting in. I would definitely recommend this place!

It's a really good breakfast place, in a great little town. You can eat a cheeseburger at 7:30 AM, if you so choose or you can have a regular breakfast. They do have a menu of the month that changes every month just to keep you on your toes. Also, the staff is great! read more

Food and service are always very good here . But now I have a problem with the pricing . When you go in for the early bird special for a hot cake combo at $8.99 before 11:00 a.m. and get a bill for $16 and some change. Something is wrong. Ordered the pumpkin hotcakes, which cost me $4 extra, when it used to cost $2 extra something other than regular hot cakes . This is outrageous . I don't look forward to spending almost $17 for breakfast at a place that I have been a loyal customer for many years . read more

Brigs was recommended to me and I finally went today. It is worth the wait. I went for breakfast. The restaurant is clean and breakfast was great. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the service was nice and friendly from everyone. The pricing is very reasonable. After going there, I understand why it is always busy. Been here quite a few times. Every single time I am pleasantly surprised. I ordered the triple meat eggs benedict with home fries and fresh fruit. The fruit is fresh cut and the home fries aren't deep fried. They're sautéed so they have some awesome flavor! My eggs Benedict was booked to perfection and the hollandaise sauce was absolutely perfect!! Dont hesitate trying this place because it's definitely a classic! read more

In the mood for some good "down home" cooking' (whatever that means)? Brigs was definitely a vibe when it came to good food, great service, and a random building layout. The waitstaff were kind, attentive, and helpful. Good rotating specials keeps things fresh and a really good seasonal special menu makes this place interesting. Definitely my go-to spot for weekend brunch and breakfast. Try it and you'll see what I mean... delicious. read more

How to describe Brigs Consistent!!! Yes, that is the word we will use. Now consistency can be good or bad but in this case, it is good. There are more than one location as you might imagine, so naturally, Denny's, IHOP and chains with similar formulas came to mind, but this place is better. First, there is a Polish spin with Kielbasa added to the meat mix. Yum. Second, the quality and portions are solid. Not too much and not too little. The fruit on the side was very fresh. That is important. Very important. Our staff was on top of things and tables were spaced out very nicely given the current climate. Overall, this is a good and consistent breakfast place. read more

Arrived shortly before 11:30 and was seated around 12:05. Not bad at all for a sunday, honestly. While the service left something to be desired, the overall experience was mixed. Details: after being seated, we didn't see our waitress again for about 15 minutes. While providing us silverware, coffee was dripped onto the table from a loosely held carafe, and my friends silverware was placed directly Into the puddle. Before anything could be said, however, the waitress was gone. I ended up ordering a royal skillet entree called "the duke" and while it was tasty, it arrived 30 minutes after being ordered, and did so lukewarm. The coffee was weak, but not burned and had a great flavor. I would recommend that diners seek out this location at a less busy time then I did, as I wager it would have significantly improved my experience. read more

I came here with a very large party (12 people). We only waited about 10 minutes and according to family who lives in the area, this place is usually packed! The service was fast, friendly and efficient. Our orders were taken quickly and served just as quick. I won't go over everything everyone had but everyone loved the food. I'm not much of a breakfast eater so I ordered the 'Brigs' Broccoli Salad' which is broccoli, celery, golden raisins, red onions and sunflower seeds in special sauce, surrounded by fresh fruit and grilled pita points. It was delicious. It was light and tasted very fresh! I will say for 12 people, the bill (not including tip) was $148 which is a steal. If I'm in the area again, I'd be back! read more

Brigs has been around forever. They have went through a bunch of ups and downs. It's a wonderful very popular place to go for a Sunday breakfast brunch. Quality of food is mostly top notch. Have held many family events there in the past. Love them. Great Hometown people. read more

Phenomenal !!! It's been a very long time since we've been to this spot, last time I was here this was a dinner spot, but my my my this is definitely a knockout place for breakfast. OMG the food was so good it was fresh, even the pancakes were still hot when they came to our table. The pecan pancakes were out of this world good. Our server Jeff was so great. He paid attention to detail, and he made sure that we were satisfied from the time we sat down until we left hats off to this great server. Sorry, I was too hungry to take pictures, but this place is worth going to again. I would highly recommend this place. Like any great spot for breakfast there is a wait, but it was well worth it. read more

I was prepared for a long waitlist due to my future in laws telling me how packed this placed get, but luckily for me we were seated right away. Everyone in this establishments is super friendly & the best thing? The food is delicious. I ordered the croissant french toast with cheesy grits & crab cakes . (Let's just say I devoured it) The French toast was cooked to perfection. The grits were amazing & the crab cakes; OMG I wanted more. Their crab cakes are NOT breaded so have no fear. I am so excited to come back the next time I'm in town. read more

Of all the places in Wake Forest - Brigs is the most consistent shining star of them all. Service is always great. Portions are always insane & wait times are never long. Smiling faces, prompt and attentive service brings us back time and time again. Try the grits. Spare the potatoes. & for the love of all foodies try the monthly specials ! They never disappoint. Bring your grandma, group of girlfriends or your fam. There is room for everyone. Brunch, lunch & early morning breakfast are always wonderful. Waffles are the size of your head - no, really. Came here about 10:15-10:30am on a Friday morning. It was busy but with tables available. We were given a buzzer and told it would be a 5 minute wait. We didn't time it but i am sure it was less than 5 minutes. Got seated and server came over to get drink orders. Water for all, chocolate milk for kidlet and coffee for husband. I like that they give you a little carafe for the coffee so you don't have to wait on server. I got one of the daily specials. Available from 7-11 it was $6.49 for 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, home fries, grits or fresh fruit and choice of toast or english muffin. I got scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. The bacon was thin and not super crispy. The eggs were ok but the stand out was the home fries. Delish. Seemed to be seasoned with something other than salt and pepper which really made them flavorful. Husband got chicken and waffles. It came with eggs. He said the chicken was really good. Kidlet got chicken tenders with mac & cheese which she proceeded not to eat any of. We took it to go. If in the area again I would stop here again. The menu is huge, service is fast and friendly. They have a good selection of breakfast as well as other items. I like they have daily as well as monthly specials. Time permitting we may try and squeeze by here again this trip! read more

During covid wait times are about the same to be seated; which was about 20-25mins. But the food came out rather quickly after we ordered. Staff are observing social distancing and wearing masks. Food was great and the waiter provided great service as well. Even offered coffee or water to go. If I'm ever out this way again, I most definitely stop by for breakfast. read more

Have been here a few times and seems like they've upgraded their menu items. They now offer avocado toast and lots of egg Benedict options, and various other items added to the usual breakfast fare. I don't care for sweet breakfast but they of course offer waffles, French toast and pancakes for your sweet tooth. This time around, just came in for quick scrambled egg basket which comes with choice of home fries, fruit or grits and toast. At $5 and change, a reasonable price. They have quite a few specials as well, including daily up to 11am, senior and a few others. Service was pretty quick on this Wednesday early afternoon. Tables are spaced adequately, though I'm pretty sure they tend to get packed on the weekends during prime breakfast times. read more

Best eggs Benedict for miles around. I would've given 5 stars, but Brigs doesn't serve hash browns, just over seasoned cubes of breakfast potatoes. What southern restaurant specializing in breakfast doesn't serve hash browns? Everything else is perfect. read more

I think we've found our favorite breakfast/brunch place. We went here for brunch the day before Mother's Day, We arrived a little after 9:00 and it was packed. Even so, the wait was tolerable (maybe 20 minutes). They had an extra room where we were able to sit and wait for a table. Their prices are excellent for the quality and amount of food that you get. I like having a balanced meal in the morning, flavor-wise. Their griddle combo breakfasts were perfect. They have a list of main griddle favorites like hot cakes, French toast, waffles, and stuffed French toast that you combine with 2 sides from a generous list. I was able to get a Belgian Waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream with a side of bacon and fruit. My husband and kids, however, opted to order lunches instead. The portions were good and my children had enough leftovers for another meal at home. Our server was friendly and attentive. We didn't wait long for our food and when it arrived, it was hot and tasted fresh. It's not a fancy restaurant, so there isn't an "ambience", but I suppose most breakfast places don't. It's a great place for families, though, and I imagine it would be a good place for groups. I suspect that we will be coming here often. Both my husband and I agree that this is the best breakfast/brunch restaurant that we've visited so far since moving to Wake Forest in 2018. read more

good food at brigs, i wished they offered sugar free jelly and peanut butter maybe for toast and english muffins, being diabetic it's nice to have access to sugar free jelly but over all it's good food and usually comes out pretty quick. GREAT prices for what you get read more

Meeting up with some friends from southern Granville County- we were looking for a good spot for Sunday brunch. This was it. Brigs is a chain, but it didn't feel like the typical Bob Evans, despite the tile floors and the pay-at-the-register vibe. Coffee: bottomless, and out of the table carafe. The menu was full of omelet choices, hash skillets, and a ton of pancake and waffle choices. The Mrs. is picky about waffles, liking crispy and crunchy at the corners, but fluffy in the middle. The Brigs offering was perfect. A sucker for corned beef hash, I ordered the skillet. Topped with two over easy, this was the greasy goodness I wanted without being too greasy. TLDR- brunch in Wake Forest should be done at Brigs, if you get the chance. It's not fancy, but it's not divey. Plain American breakfast. read more

Lots of the customers visiting Brigs Great Beginnings in Raleigh on weekends were from Henderson, Louisburg and the Wake Forest area. So, Brigs expanded and opened this Brigs Restaurant. Brigs at the Forest is the largest Brigs restaurant. It has a private dining room that will seat sixty, and a huge area for guests to wait on busy days.

Meet the Business Owner: Jason K.

Jason started as a busboy at Brigs Great Beginnings in Raleigh when he was sixteen years old. He moved to Michigan for six years. When he returned to Raleigh, he returned to Brigs, now as a cook. When Brigs opened in Wake Forest, he transferred, and became Food and Beverage Manager within a year. Eleven years later, he purchased Brigs at the Forest, and still runs it!

I asked if they could cook it more, which I never do, I never send things back bc I'm afraid of insulting the person's cooking skills who is handling my food. But this egg was still clucking. She took the plate, walked into the kitchen, we heard chopping sounds for 2 seconds and she brought it immediately back. She was gone with it for seriously under 30 seconds. She set it on the table and announced "I didn't want to turn it brown" and walked away. The egg was exactly the same doneness, but now chopped up. I don't know why I let this peer pressure make me second guess my judgment and intuition, but we were traveling due to a family tragedy and I was just tired and stressed and needed to feed my hungry baby. So I fed her the egg. Halfway through, my breakfast was brought to the table with a well-cooked egg on the plate, so I swapped hers for mine. I guess Border just feels really strongly that adults need fully cooked eggs and babies need raw ones. Later that night, my baby vomited. Then again. And again. She vomited 7 times all through the night. I vomited once. Diarrhea all day yesterday for both of us. We didn't get to go see our sick family member, for whom we flew across the country. Over the years, I have gotten to sample quite a bit on the menu. The portions are always large and generous. My favorites are the eggs Benedict, the burgers and the fried fish. I like a place where you can get breakfast or lunch style food all day and Brigs offers a good food selection but the service is always lacking however. We've been there about 5 times and each time there is a problem with something missing or the food is prepared for the wrong person. For example, my wife ordered her food with lightly scrambled eggs & cheese and her egg were plated with our daughters food. Today the young girl who took our order spilled juice all over the table and never made an attempt to clean it up so I asked for some napkins so I could clean it up. She acknowledged my request bet then went to hang out and talk to some kids at the next table. She stayed there until the food came and my wife had to ask for napkins again and then clean the waitresses juice spill herself. I'd love to give a detailed review of the food at Brigs and talk about all the things I've ever tried there, but out of the dozen-plus times I've been, I've only ever gotten one thing - the Virginia Scramber. Just came in for a Mother's Day breakfast and because I'm a disabled veteran I did not have a mask. As I was walking to the table, a woman who said she was the manager got into my personal space and grabbed my arm, telling me that I needed a mask to walk to my table. I told her I was a disabled veteran and I'd appreciate if she wouldn't grab me and then put my coat over my face but she kept invading my space and touching me. We don't mind paying for a good meal but when your breakfast meats come out microwaved it makes you think twice about a second visit. The service wasn't bad but know one made us feel welcome or that they appreciated our business. This was our first and last visit to Brigs. read more

This is a nice place for brunch but the wait for my food was a little longer that I had hoped, and they brought out our food before the kids, The atmosphere is nice, like I'm at my grandma's house, very homey read more
