So yummy. I have only been here once. The food is good. Its a small place and service is a little slow but the food is worth it. I had a burger. read more

Nice selection of tap beer here and pretty good food! Good atmosphere with a small bar, tables in two different rooms and window and doors that they keep open. Service could be a bit better but overall great place to go for beer and a burger. read more

This is a great place for a good steak, a bit pricey but excellent service and tasty food.

Yelp helped me pick out this spot...and man, am I happy about it! We were seated in the front by the open area. Loved the view. The food was amazing!!! I'm definitely going to remember this place when I'm traveling through. read more

We stayed two nights at the nearby National Hotel and were thrilled to find this fun place and ate dinner both nights there at the bar. All of the wait staff and bartenders were great and the food was good. read more

Thank goodness for Jessica!!! We walked in and were told to sit anywhere. We figured it would be not too long of a wait to get our order since it wasn't that busy, but the girl who was supposed to be our waitress didn't acknowledge us until 15 minutes after we were seated. By that time, Jessica had come by to take our order. The other waitress stopped by to take our order, but we're glad Jessica came by before her. Jessica is super friendly and definitely made us feel welcome! She checked on us a few times throughout our meal. The food was delicious! The place is a bit warm because they don't have AC, but they have fans that help with the heat. read more

We ate here while camping. Completely average. The food was not special but it was good and the drinks were beer/wine only. The service was good. read more

We had an excellent dinner last night. The chicken marsala is the best I've ever had! My loaded baked potato and grilled vegetables were amazing. The banana cream pie was homemade and could have been a little sweeter but the crust and whipped cream was very good. Service was great although the restaurant wasn't very busy. My husband and I are looking forward to dining there again whenever we're in Jackson. Way to go Jerry! read more

Just awesomeness. The food is excellent. Hand made burgers with buns made in-house, just nothing short of awesomeness.

Stopped in here on our way through Jackson. The burgers were cooked perfectly. The beer was cold. The fries were delicious. They have a good variety of beer on tap. The price was good for the service and food. The staff was very friendly. I will be going back next time I am near by. read more

Great food and service. Ribeye was cooked to perfection and my wife got the chicken marsala which was also excellent! Impressed that they serve local Swingle's meat. Staff was very friendly and our waiter was very attentive. We will be coming back. read more

Very good choice for lunch if you are in Jackson. Great selection of burgers and sandwiches, which come with choice of fries, sweet potato fries, dude salad or homemade potato salad. Our party had the jalapeño burger, spicy with bacon; French dip with ay jus; Buffalo chicken sandwich; and French dip burger, with both a patty and sliced steak. All were delicious. We didn't have any beer or wine, but they have a nice list at a great price. We look forward to going back. read more

Excellent food. It was pretty packed so service wasn't 100% but the food was really good. I would definitely go back. The blue cheese burger is really fabulous read more

Omg sooooooo good.. first time here and I can't stop talking about the French dip...... try it and you WILL be back for more

Never a bad experience here. They have great food and a great wine list! My husband loves the selection of beers and the fact that they switch it out regularly. We go here on our for dates, with the kids and for family birthdays or other gatherings. The folks who work here honestly care about your experience and are always so accommodating. Definitely recommend! read more

Fantastic food and service. The room can get a little loud but the food makes it well worth it. We will be back.

This is the best place to eat in Amador County by far! Great service and food! Huge assortment of beers and awesome burgers and sandwiches! Also, there is some seafood choices as well!!! Thanks Cheyanne for being a great waitress!!!! 5 star! read more

I ate here last week and enjoyed the Chicago Hot dog, so I thought I'd return. Today I sat down, looked at the menu and was ready to order. No water (or offer of some), no "I'll be with you soon", no acknowledgement at all. I walked out without ordering... I'll spend my money elsewhere where the servers can handle a 1/2 full dining room. I gave them a 3 because the meal I had last week was good, but based on my experience today, I give them a 0. I would have given them a 4 last week, so that averages to a 2. Why couldn't 3 people in the front of the restaurant handle a 1/2 full dining room? read more

Stopped here after exploring the nearby tourist attractions. It was exactly what we wanted. Good food, good beer, and kid friendly. Portions were big. My daughter ordered the Chicago dog and it we delicious. The onion rings were amazing. My Jalapeno burger was the perfect amount of heat. The servers were hustling but could have used some more help. However we were happy all around. Would definitely come back! read more

absolutely wonderful! the owners are so welcoming and the food is delicious. you must try the pesto fries, i'm still craving them weeks after eating them. great atmosphere in a really cute town - great for a date night out. read more

This places is amazing! I come to Jackson once a year on vacation to visit family and this is our first time here. Everyone was very pleased with their food and they have good choices for what is on tap! Service is amazing and Jen is awesome! She had a smile on her face every time she showed up to our table. We will definitely be back next year! read more

We randomly came upon this place while driving thru town and my OH my were we surprised! The bf and I ended up ordering their prime rib sandwich that came with pesto fries (SO GOOD) the meat was super tender and the fries were amazing with the pesto sauce! I ordered the homemade chicken taquitos that came with sour cream and guac which was really good. Most of the times I've had taquitos, they skimp out on the meats, but this dish actually had good amount of chicken in it which I appreciated. Service was friendly and prompt and the decor of the restaurant was really clean and festive just in time for the holidays. read more

Went here on Saturday. Smaller but cute restaurant in downtown Jackson. Walked in, was told we can sit any where, weren't mean but weren't very enthusiastic to see new customers either Lol, still just friendly enough. We sat down and waited. Waited some more. Finally after waiting, was greeted by server, we ordered wine and beer, wasn't asked if we wanted appetisers or anything else, just walked away. Came back with our drinks quickly and walked away again lol. Waiting more, Finally after waiting some more, we had to order all of our appetisers & meal all at once. While we where waiting some more, I stopped our server to ask for the WiFi password and she told me NO PUBLIC WIFI. ...oh, okaaayyyyy. So idk that's really the only thing that bothered me... Like really tho? In 2021? Idk maybe it's the area, but even still, the service up here isn't that great, so especially in a emergency situation what if I need to send a message or make a call over WiFi, or worst...what if my phone was pick pocketed and I needed to use someone else's phone to use the "find my iPhone" app to make my pocketed iphone beep loudly before the pocketer gets away??? So other than that the food was pretty good and the wine and beer where pretty good. read more

One of the best burgers I've ever had. No joke. Lots of beers on tap. I will be back!

Jalepeno Burger was to die for. Grilled party tonlerfection with fresh Jalepenos. Yummy

Food was cold, service was bad. When I ordered a beer the waitress told me to go to the bar. Service totally ruined an otherwise decent experience. read more

One of the best wedge salads I have had! The place was lively on a Saturday night with no tables available and people waiting. After we were seated we checked out the beer menu and were happy with the selection. My spouse enjoyed his jalapeno burger but the fries were ordinary. We both had dessert - wonderful homemade pumpkin pie and cheesecake. read more

A friend from out of town and i stopped in last week looking for lunch. Their beer selection was very impressive and tempting to us wineos even, their menu was presented strapped to a pretty wood plank and the waitresses were friendly. We tried their ahi taco special, though surprising cooked all the way through they were good. Their French dip was also good. And their peanut butter stout, yes peanut butter, with a scoop of vanilla was the best thing we had. We left full and satisfied, thanks for a fun afternoon read more

We had to try the new brew joint in town. Unfortunately, it was not a good day to review them. They are obviously having some growing pains. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, my friend had the hot dog. The $9.75 hot dog! All the sandwich were the same price. $10 and change. So, for $10 you can have a BLT or you could have a prime rib dip or the pastrami. 25 min later I had to ask for our order. There were 3 servers at the register trying to figure the new computer out. The server said they walked in and the new register was there. No training. Anyway, guess what? Our order was ready...sitting there. My pastrami had maybe 3 oz of meat, the cheese was melted and burnt off. The meat was partially chard and it was very, very dry. I had to request (2x) for a side of mayo. My friend enjoyed her hot dog but also said she would never order another for that price. Oh ya, the onion rings wouldn't be available until 1pm. What? On the positive side, the potato salad was good, the atmosphere is great. I look forward to trying the beers after work, but unless the prices for food drop and I read some other Yelper's good reviews, I'll probably stick with just the beer. I wish them luck. Because Jackson can use a good brew pub. Please rethink the menu. Oh ya, it was a full hour to get in and out. Don't have time constraints! read more

A homerun! I never would have expected to walk into a bar in Jackson, CA and see an amazing craft beer lineup like I did walking into Brickhouse! If I lived here, this would be my local watering hole! I also got a chance to indulge in the tri-tip which was perfection! The owner came around and said hello to patrons as well and it was great chatting with Jerry and Kelly! I wish them much success as this is the type of place I wish I had close to my home in Atlanta, GA! Cheers! read more

Went for lunch, got a couple craft beers with my meal. Beer selection is good, especially for hop heads. Food was really good, fish & chips were nice and hot, although the skinny shoestring fries are not my favorite. Onion rings were great, nice and crispy, and the house made dipping sauce is tangy and spicy. I'm a fan! read more

The first time we visited Brickhouse Brews was for an after-dinner-before-the-play drink at the bar. Service was friendly and there was a good selection of local craft beer and wines. So I was excited about the possibility of it being a good dinner alternative in Jackson with a nice bar in an historic building that has been built out very nicely by a friendly couple. When we got there at about 6:30 on a Thursday night, the room was filled with a "haze" I'm going to call it from insufficient grill venting in the kitchen. And a look into the kitchen revealed a heavier "haze" yet. If you are a contact lens wearer, you might find this a difficult situation. Our party of 4 ordered a burger, veggie burger, BLT, fish & chips, wine and beer. The fries and pesto fries were rather unremarkable the later being regular fries with pesto sprinkled on them. The veggie burger was served without the cheese that was described on the menu. The fish was described by my fellow diner as being the basic breaded frozen throw in the fryer fish, with no other side options but fries. There were a couple of other service issues I won't mention, and hopefully, with the earnestness and sincerity of the owners, issues will be resolved. There seemed to be somewhat of a lack of experience in restaurant and service standards for higher end establishments although they are obviously trying to appeal to a younger "trendier" crowd -- and to that crowd they may be appealing. I mean, you can get a good drink and hamburgers beyond fast food. However, I must admit to being spoiled to the Lone Wolf at the Rancheria and their unfailingly careful, congenial service, food quality and preparation; (at the approximately same price point for similar menu items) that it will definitely be awhile before I check back here for anything other than a glass of something. But I will after awhile, and if my experience is better, and the "haze" is lifted, I will definitely post an update. read more

Here is a picture of the bar with beer selection display. The quality of beer is excellent. The prices are a little high; we paid $6.50 each for IPAs. The hamburger was great, as were the pesto fries. The service was average, we sat at the bar and had to wait a little long. I give it 5 stars for the quality of beer and food. read more

Brickhouse Brews - Bars Near Me - Jackson, California

In our community we see restaurants come and go. This place should have staying power. There is an awesome beer selection with many micro brews. They even have the Peanut Butter Milk Stout from Belching Beaver in SD. How cool is that? The burger and garlic fries are my go-to order. Everything is so fresh, in fact I wonder if they make the buns. Ambience is great, it feels like a pub inside but this is not "bar food". Definitely my favorite place in town. I guess if I had a complaint it would be that they are closed 2x days a week, but hey everyone needs a break. read more

Went in on a weekend afternoon at about 3:00pm, so the place was fairly quiet. We had a very rude waitress that got snippy with us right from the start, which was weird. She asked what we wanted so we started with two apettizers, and bam she's gone without taking our drink orders. We had to ask another waitress for drinks. Now time to order our meals, my son asked our waitress about an item on the menu and she eye rolls him and then moves on to my daughter without answering his question or taking his order. We should of got up right there, but we're in Jackson and there isn't a lot of choices. The food was ok, but the service will make me never ever go back! read more
