Had a good experience recently. My husband's been in the hospital lately and his go to request is a subway sandwich to avoid the hospital food. So that's what we got. Nice to see they have a good $4 value deal going on for the 6 inchers. First time was a new girl made the sandwich. She did a great job. We ordered 5 sandwiches on Sept 8. We all got italian bread. Everyone's bread was dry and obviously not fresh. I tried to complain via the Subway site which could not identify this location so I was unable to leave a complaint. I called this location to get the contact info for a complaint. The employee got the franchisee on the phone who did not want to speak with me. After getting nowhere with the employee, who I dont blame for anything, I hung up. Worst service. Ordered on the app for a special they had and had order cancelled because the store says that's what they do for the buy one get one for $1 even though the app says they are participating. Store says they can't opt out but another store down the street has opted out. I went in this morning and the lady began taking my order and when I told her what I wanted after she asked she immediately told me to wait "I am over 50 years old and I have arthritis". I asked her to put mayo on both sides of the bread and that was a big issue as she is a "sandwich artist" and this inconvenienced her so much. She repeatedly informed that she didn't need to be here and she is well over 50 with arthritis and she only works here to buy concert tickets. I wanted to give ZERO stars but Yelp doesn't allow that. Placed order on app with Specific instructions. Napkins and sauces on side!! Firstly they never advanced the order in the app so I figured go over there see if they are even open. Kid inside was Clueless! Didn't know app has progress. So i could have waited all night for them to say the order was ready. I did not want sauce on the salad. The kid blamed the person who left after making it. The kid says he is not allowed to remake orders. I said what if I'm allergic to sauce. I did not want it put on my salad. I said where is your boss. Went to subway stepped up to counter told the guy wanted 4 sandwiches. He asked the person next in line how many sandwiches. He said 1. So he wanted to help that customer first. That customer said he was first. He wants 4 sandwiches he can wait. The other customer said to help me first he shouldn't have to wait. So I said your right I don't have to. This Subway doesn't honor their coupons. They canceled my order when I came to pickup my sandwichs. I had ordered online and it said the BOGO at this Subway was participating. Horrible customer service, and the vegetables on the sandwich was lacking in freshness. This is a small town, and news travels fast, hopefully they reconsider their policies on honoring coupons and deals. read more

This store is so bad, I started a Yelp account to help others; I hope they don't pay to hide this because I don't have enough other reviews. This Subway is very rude, but I don't care much if the food is okay. I've returned because family wanted Subway and whatever, people are allowed to have bad days. However, I think this franchise owner hates their choice to open a Subway or something because you cannot get a simple menu item sandwich how Subway trains them to make it. They insist on giving you old sour avocado spread ("It's free! I won't charge you! It's good!") and then slathering on condiments they think are good. See attached photo. I go to Subway, because it's consistent - unless you're at this awful place in Jackson, CA. I was to pick up my online order at 1:15 and I had to wait for them to make it in between Around a sandwich here and there so I didn't do any good to have my meat warmed up with the cheese to melt as it's out there and got cold, very disappointed once again with this subway, it is convenient to me and I'll tell you the turnover they have in employees, and after the price for this wrap today, looks like a sandwich being sent for my grandsons lunch, it was so thin and small with missing vegetables. I ordered a sub from Jackson, in the Cost Less shopping center, and the bottom picture is what I got. The owner had no interest in making it right. She only blamed Subway corp. for the small serving size. What I learned from Subway is, 3oz of meat on a 6in and 6oz on a foot long. I'm no expert but, that bottom picture doesn't look anything close to 6oz of meat. She did not apologize then ignored any other communications from me. She never made it right. Can I leave 0 stars? Because the blonde lady opening the store moves at a snail's pace, talks on her cellphone while customers are waiting. There was ONE person in front of me and it took her 15 mins to make one sandwich!!!!! Then another 30 to make mine and the customer behind me. It's blasphemy that this gem of Jackson hasn't recieved a review until now. One advantage to a small town is that even the mammoth fast-food restaurant chains (yes, Subway IS fast-food) manage to develop a personality all there own, driven mostly by the employees who work there. Such is the case with this location. The owner and sandwich makers are all incredibly welcoming and personable. The sandwiches are built as fast and efficiently as a brand new vehicle heading down the assembly line. I've never had a problem with the food or the service, and, despite the lunchtime crowd, the wait is always minimal. I find myself returning here at least 2 or 3 times a week. I wander in like clockwork at the 1 o'clock hour with a dazed look on my face similar to Kevin Costner when he was hearing voices in Field of Dreams. They never make fun of me, at least to my face. And without fail, they always remember my standard order and get it right: a 6" turkey breast on sourdough with everything. Pure, simple satisfaction! read more

I've been a regular customer (4-5 times/month) of this Subway for the last 10 years. Over the last year I've seen a significant decline in the efficiency and friendliness of employees (there seems to be an ongoing change in employees), less than fresh veggies, and smaller portions of cheese and meat on sandwiches. I even walked out recently when one of the newer employees who seemed to be sweating profusely pulled up his T-shirt to wipe his forehead which exposed his large belly to customers. I must say that it pretty much grossed me out and I really didn't want this guy making my me a sandwich! When I asked once if I could have more than 2 half slices of provolone on my sandwich I received some song and dance about corporate rules, It sounded like a canned response given to him by his manager and it was clear he didn't really understand what he was saying. Given the apparent lack of customers every time I go into this sandwhich shop, it is my humble opinion that the Jackson Subway will not be open much longer. read more

I enjoy a good Reuben and was excited that Subway was offering "for a limited time" a "Reuben Sandwich " Now after having one, I am glad it's only a limited time. It was terrible and here is why. It's half the size of what's shown on their commercial. The sauce they used was a very cheap,nasty tasting Thousand Island dressing and the meat was not like any type of corn beef I have ever tasted. I often eat here because it is close but most of the employees don't seem happy and make you feel that it's a bother to make a sandwich for you. There was a time when they deserved more than one star, however their concern about their senior clientele, those with compromised immune systems, and public health in general is sadly lacking. As of yesterday when the dine-in option was suspended in California, anyone going into that establishment just to place their to-go order and then wait for it, must wear a mask during the entire time they are inside and when I was there a customer said he didn't have to wear a mask and the lady working behind the counter backed him up at the top of her lungs. This has happened since the state's requirement that masks be worn indoors at such places at all times while awaiting your take-out. So if you want a good sandwich and see mask compliance (for the most part) then go to Raleys. Sandwiches are much bigger, comparably priced, and their larger indoor space provides a safer environment than Subway, Jackson, which they could remedy through simple enforcement. read more

I wish i had something nice to say about this establishment but am very disappointed. I came in on my lunch break to order a personal pepperoni pizza. My first problem was the man took the pepperoni and started slicing it into small pieces. Okay weird but then when i went to pay for my pizza he charged me for a pepperoni pizza $5.99 THEN an additional charge for .75 cents for 3 pepperoni. I want to commend this Subway restaurant for the outstanding job they did on a huge order I placed for an event I was coordinating on behalf of my employer. We had an outdoor event July 19 and ordered a total of 115 boxed lunches, minus the drinks. We ordered ham sandwiches and turkey sandwiches, and a few vegetarian sandwiches and spicy Italian sandwiches. Everyone at our event enjoyed their lunches. My boxed lunch contained a ham sandwich and it was delicious. All the boxed lunches included a 6" sandwich, a bag of chips, and a cookie. What impressed me about this Subway was how they handled the large order from start to finish. The store manager, a lady who goes by the name Lucky, and the other employees Jesse and Alex (I hope remember his name correctly) completed the order a half an hour early before pickup. They put the boxed lunches into convenient bags with handles and they helped me load the huge lunch order into my truck. Ordering and paying was very easy and professionally done. This Subway store's managers and employees showed an eagerness to make sure our event went well. We will not hesitate to use the Jackson Subway store again for future events. Let me take this opportunity to thank the manager Lucky, Jesse, and Alex, and all other staff there at Subway who helped make our event a success: Thank you all again! read more

We like subway a lot but this was the first one in over 20 years that we have been going to subway that was the worst ever! The bread was so hard and old that it looked like an old man's balls , all dry and wrinkled. Now the locals know to ask for the fresh bread because a lady came after us and ordered and she told him" NO I WANT THE FRESH ONE FROM TODAY" and he gave her the fresh one!
