This office is the worst!! Called them a week ago to shop for a re-fi. They called me back & I emailed them some info & was guaranteed they'd get back to me right away with quotes. Ok. Later that day my "loan professor" called to say he was working on it & would get out quotes right away. I asked him for his name & phone #. His answer - it will all be in my email. Well, that was a week ago & nothing. No quotes, no name or anything. After 3 days I called & asked to speak with the branch manager. Took my name & # & guess what - NO CALL!!! This company has major communication issues. They also lack immensely on customer service. I literally felt like a piece of meat. I was only a means to an end. If i had a question it would take days to be answered. They pushed my questions around bc no one but brian knew the answers, and he is the only person there who apparently knows anything. I was especially disappointed when at the end of my mortgage process i asked how i could actually pay my mortgage, and that VITAL question was never answered. I had to figure it out for myself. Once they had my money they wanted nothing to do with me. While this company is good at getting you a mortgage you will have to put up with being treated very impersonally and poorly. Everyone knows buying a home is a pretty long process that can be stressful but exciting at the same time . Modern lending did a great job emailing us the step by step process for our home buying process. They would also send us videos briefly explaining the next steps not in great detail but enough to get you to understand what is going on. I am happy we got approved for a loan and I am happy we got the opportunity to buy our first home! Although everyone was respectful and professional, there were a few times where we felt a little confused still . It would have been better if they were there IN PERSON explaining everything rather than sending documents via email .Home buying is already a very complicated process with so many steps and modern lending Tried to get us caught up but there were times where we felt escrow didn't communicate well with lending team and vice versa. They would each blame each other for the process taking longer than expected and that's fine I get it things happen but I found myself doing a lot of phone calls and clarification and I think that was the most stressful part . I thought my job as a customer was to be able sit back and just sign papers but I felt I had to do a lot of finding information or problem solving. I don't know if everyone is suppose to go through this or if they just need to work better on communicating with escrow and the sellers agents . Sometimes you would call them and they would text or call you back right away and other times it would take them 24 hours to get back to you. Which again I get they are probably busy ... but All in all I had a okay experience like I said everyone involved were professional . I just think between the lending team , escrow and agents there needs to be better communicating between them and more of a sense of urgency from all the Agents and less work from the buyers.
