This company was chosen by the seller, not us as buyers. Things seemed to be going ok up untill the end when Team Peggy - Peggy, Eliesa and M.Araiza, dropped the ball! They made an error (missing information) on the deed transfer documents filed with the county recorder. This was communicated to us on day of closing, Friday at 4:45pm by a phone call, no email. They even tried to pin this on us and the title company, anyone but themselves! Based on prior reviews, this isnt the first time they have messed up on issues like this! Bottom line, we could not close on said date. If you have to deal with this escrow company, you may want to ask to check your deed transfer documents prior to being filed with the county recorder to ensure there aren't any surprises. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Disappointing End to an Otherwise Great Experience I worked with Generations Escrow recently, specifically with Peggy Pinto, and I have to say the service was wonderful--up until the very end. Peggy and her team were professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. Everything seemed to be on track for a smooth transaction. Unfortunately, things took a turn when it came time for them to pay me my commission. Generations Escrow refused to wire the funds, and they also would not send a notary to me--even though these steps are outlined as part of their own policies. As an independent escrow company regulated by the CFPB, they should know better. Escrow companies are required to follow the client's instructions--not dictate how a transaction should be handled. The refusal to honor these simple, industry-standard practices made the closing process unnecessarily frustrating. Because of this, I can't recommend Generations Escrow for future transactions. It's a shame, as I had high hopes for this team, but this experience ensures they will not be a part of any future escrows I handle. read more

This company was chosen by the seller, not us as buyers. OUR buyers team did an awesome job EXCEPT THE EMPLOYEES AT THIS COMPANY. Lacking any kind of customer service, we were treated as if we were a subclass since they were not hired by us. They stalled us at every part of the transaction. Failure to meet deadlines, not trained in the entire process, unwillingness to find someone who was. The dedicated person in charge of the account was not available to deal with the mistakes, always handed off to the other low level, untrained assistants who just complicated the process even more. If you are able to choose...do not choose this bumbling/stumbling group...seriously cannot figure out how they are still in business. Not sure where this company got all their 5-star ratings, but I'm putting this post out bc of the serious mistakes, and "fraudulent" conduct of business that was conducted by Lisa. I have been in the middle of a very ugly divorce for the past three years, in which part of the divorce was to sell my Temecula Wine Country property. Please take me serious when I make these statements about this company being unprofessional, and covering mistakes under the darkness of deception. I PRETTY MUCH LOST MY PROPERTY AND ALL MY EQUITY BECAUSE OF SOMEONE BEING INCOMPETENT, AND NOT TRUSTWORTHLY. Generation Escrow is exactly that company. They process the documents to the sale of my house, and because their was a court order, that was generated by my wife's attorney, to have my wife "confirm the sale price" and be able to "sign all documents on my behalf." Nothing more, nothing less. 1. The worst part ; Lisa allow this "so call attorney" to step in during the Escrow process, and secure all of our equity from the sale, and deposit that money into his private account. Her answer to me "it was a court order". My reply "no it wasn't", show me the court document with those instructions. Her response was that she was UNABLE to show any court documents stating those instructions. Those instructions never existed...... 2. There was not "one document" that was signed by my wife showing my name authoring the sale. My wife put a name of "Edward Fern" in a place that should have read "Edward Fernandez". ??? I have never had a nick name, nor ever used Edward Fern as my legal name. I have no idea who Edward Fern is. Thanks Lisa. So to recap, Patrick McCall (my wife's attorney) took every penny of my equity, and gave it to my wife. I had this house 19 years (bought it for $278,000.00 in Wine Country, new in 1999) and have lost every penny thanks to Generation Escrow. Some good advise, find any other escrow company to process your sale of your property. Generation Escrow does fraudulent and incompetent work. No work ethics.
