This is our favorite "go to" place in Brighton. The building is beautiful and the atmosphere is perfect for visiting with friends. Love that we don't have to yell over the noise of loud TVs or music. Especially love the beer garden complete with fire pits for chilly nights. The beers are excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient. We hosted a private party on the second floor recently and had it catered by a local restaurant. They did a wonderful job and all of our guests were impressed. This is NOT a restaurant and it is NOT a sports bar. It's a great place to gather with friends and enjoy one another's company. read more

No business will last with a single product and beg for service model. Outside garden area is great landscape, but it's serve yourself. When wait staff was in the area picking up glasses, we were all but scolded for asking for another beer. Building is a great investment in Brighton. Service and product limitation will have the business closed in less than a year. We've been there twice. No third time. Cute atmosphere. My boyfriend and I stopped in because we wanted to check this place out but we were a little disappointed there wasn't much of a menu. Really just snacks. The beer was great! I was happy to see they offered beer with fruity flavors. I lived in Poland and a lot of places would offer a variety of syrups to add fruit flavor to beer. You don't find that in a lot of places in the states. The fruit braggot was amazing! I also had a plain heferweizen which was delicious. Prices were decent. Will go back. read more

Ignore the older, bad reviews. They play good music now, they have some tvs. Their beers are nothing less of amazing. The staff was very welcoming the whole time we were here and made sure that every think was going well numerous time. I would highly recommend this place. Brewery Becker really comes down to personal taste. I stopped in the first week it opened and sampled several of the beers. I could not find one that I liked. I drink mostly IPA's, and while BB offered a couple, they were made with very little hops. As I tried more of the beer selection there wasn't much difference between them, at least to me and my hop spoiled palate. Recently I stopped in again. A little more variety this time with some truly awful tasting beers, but nothing worth having a entire pint of after finishing the sampler. No food. No TV's. Wedding reception stomping the second floor above our heads. Bummer to live a mile away from this place and find myself void of any reason to visit it. I really do want I to work and possibly it will, just not for me. read more

Beer sucks. It is brewed in a "traditional" and cheap way. There is also not enough food. They only have apps as of last time I was there.

Gave Brewery Becker a try early afternoon last Friday. The place was busy given the streets and eats event going on in Brighton. Only the main floor was open at this time, so no opportunity to check out the upper floors. The main floor seemed unusually small given the staircase right up the middle, and brewery setup occupying a portion of the main floor. The structure added to the back only houses restrooms, a gathering space just inside the entrance, and elevator. They should have added more space to house the brewery so as not to eat up so much first floor space. I knew that food would not be available, but could hear many others asking and then expressing disappointment that nothing could be ordered. To appease one elderly customer, they offered to cook a brat on their cooker which seemed to be the gas station roller type. They did have crackers and cheese platters for purchase, but they should at least offer some limited food on site and not simply offer the service of delivery from other restaurants. To keep with the theme, just offer some typical German foods - brats, sausages, kraut, etc. There was a popcorn machine for a charge! Couldn't see if it was $2 or $5. Give the people salty snacks and they will stay longer and drink more! The décor was nice and historic looking. The floor was a new hardwood that was just too light. They really only do have about a dozen draft beers on their main list and no hard drinks. I only saw one TV screen above the bar. Sure, the place is being ran as a sort of gathering bar, but when some exciting sports event is on, at least have a TV in each section for those who are interested. It was unusually noisy in the bar even though much of the crowd were grey hairs (yes, I am too!). The noise was the result of hard surfaces and small spaces. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, but not always attentive. We may go back on occasion, but likely will stick with our other local watering hole in Brighton. read more

I have to admit, I am very particular, and I LOVE this place! Most importantly, the beer is fantastic. I like to travel and check out breweries and I have never been anywhere where I liked so many of the brews. The decor is well done and the place has such a welcoming, cozy feel and vibe. The service is great and the staff are friendly and engaging. I can't wait for the weather to be warm again, because the outdoor seating area is beautiful. read more

Have been here several times and do enjoy their beers. The German beer this year was outstanding! The Octoberfest weekend was really fun, and the entertainment was wonderful. Didn't have any of the German food offered, but it sure looked good. Service is always good, whether inside or on the beautiful patio. The building decor is gorgeous! Would recommend it! read more

Solid German style brews. The Heffe is spot on. The Vardricka is good. Not much selection for kids or non-beer people. The outside seating is a big draw for me. The food menu is very limited, but you can get some good pizza next door and bring it to the beer garden. read more

I offer this review of Brewery Becker as my account of many trips into the establishment. First off, if you have not been into see the renovation of the building... That is worth the trip. The place is beautiful! If you're into beer well, that's what Brewery Becker does best! I found the staff to be courteous and knowledgeable about the beer that they are crafting. The selection of beers is wide and you can find something for everyone. The beer's rotate to allow more of a selection but the good ones always come back. Additionally, the brewery has free WIFI and couches so bring your laptop and chill out. During the summer the patio area is also awesome for hanging out and it is also beautify done. Hungry? They have various selections of brewpub food examples like pretzels, soup, hummus, chips and awesome sausages. Not into that? Bring your own food in!! They will even give you plates and silverware if you forgot!! Ask for the outside menus that they have behind the bar. Some places will deliver right to you. The atmosphere is very chill most of the week and the weekends have a lot of people coming in so you can choose the time that is right for you. It is worth it to remember that flights and beer samples take time, so look over the menu ask questions and check out the place while you're waiting. Better yet grab a board game and start playing something, there are a ton upstairs. Shortly after the start of my patronage I have become a member of the "Mug Club" and it has some great perks so you should check it out to. In my time there, I have always felt welcomed and treated well. I encourage all of you to check it out. Horrible service. I know that people are more likely to post something when they have one terrible experience versus an overall impression: but let me tell you... This is my fourth time here and their service is horrible. I literally have to throw my arms back and forth in the air to get someone's attention. Not because the servers are working hard trying to make their customers happy, but because they are behind the counter on their phone, socializing with their coworkers or eating their dinner (in front of me). I've literally refused service from one of the MANAGERS because he took an over whelming bite of food and tried to take my order while chewing... talk about unprofessional. When I told the other manager (female) about this, she laughed and said "I'm sorry..." to appease me... *me walking away* The only thing that kept me here tonight is the shuffle board. Which says a lot about the service, beer and music selection. Shame on me if I come here a fifth time. Too bad for the owners. Word of advice: 1. educate your staff, "have a sample" does not suffice when a customer asks what beer tastes like, 2. Give your staff dinner breaks, so they don't have to wait on customers while I can see bread rolling about in their mouth, 3. Serve warmer cask beer, just because it's better. So yep, this is my first Yelp review... Downloaded the app just to post this, that's how horrified I am with the service here. No oyster, like at all. {fast forward 40 minutes} When I went to pay for the tab the server argued with me about my YELP REVIEW & instead of her apologizing I had to simply tell her that I wasn't paying for my beer. Maybe it was an off night. First time there, waitress was not helpful, nor friendly. When asked about beer recommendations "Everything here is good." Ok, how about an IPA? "Oh, we really don't like IPA's here" Do you have any suggestions on any of your appetizers? "Oh, people to order old from neighboring restaurants across the street and have it delivered." Amazing-looking place inside and outside. This is a beautiful place! The beer garden outside is outstanding too. It's really cool. They have a little window you can walk up too when you are outside and order-very quaint. We went for the German fest last year and that was fun. We went again recently and it was very relaxing. Really fun place to meet with friends and just hang out. Currently the Saison beer is absolutely wonderful! You have to try it. Most of the other beers are a bit heavy for me. They have a limited food menu, but it serves it's purpose for light food fare. You'll get the best service from the bartenders. read more

I went to Brewery Becker back during the holidays and then this weekend. I really wanted to like it, but truthfully it was a very poor experience. Like all the other reviews say, the building is gorgeous. The staff, however, is why they have earned one star. I've worked in the restaurant industry, I know the game. You need to be warm and inviting to your customers. On my first trip, the barback was watching me as I wrote in the bartenders tip. He even commented aloud,"That's a very generous tip!" Its not the smartest thing to do to be peeking at someones credit card slip commenting on how much your tipping, but considered he may be new and had not learned how to interact with his customers yet. Therefore, I decided to give the bar another shot. On my trip this weekend, the bar staff started putting the chairs up in the restaurant an hour before close. Then, as my party was playing shuffleboard, we heard the staff (very loudly) talking to each other about how they should tell people to "get the F*** out". Since they are a relatively new establishment, I feel like they should be thankful for customers coming in and not hurrying them to get the F out. If you are going to not serve food and do not have TV's or music, your beer and customer service better be tough notch. There are plenty of other bars in the area that have a lot more to offer, so I am not going to beg them to take my money. They have a lot of growing to do if they want customers to come back.
