The cheese bread here is amazing. It's super cheesy and delicious. We were with a large group so we had several different types of pizza. We tried the pepperoni, BLT, BBQ. My first visit to Heartland. Brewing was great! The service and food was spot on and we loved everything! The beer and ciders on tap were very approachable with 2 ciders and options to make a shandy which was unique. I ordered the Old 23 Lager which was a delicious amber lager. I'd definitely go back for more! In my opinion the best part was the pizzas! We had the BLT and Dill Pickle pizzas which were unlike and very well made! The cheese pull on the dill pickle pizza was unmatched. Pizzas are ~18" and thick crust with a cheesy garlic bread outer crust. On the BLT we loved the fresh greens on top and how it was loaded down with bacon. The atmosphere is very laid back and casual, like someplace you would go to after a youth baseball game. Paper plates and plastic cutlery also contribute to the casual atmosphere, but we did not find it to be a negative in any way. I am from out of town, but this will definitely be a spot to go to the next time I am in the area! read more

So I don't often go to brew pubs but think this is fairly standard. Paper plates and plastic cutlery, always a turn off for me, same with water in a plastic cup ( here's the kicker, I am an automotive plastics engineer). I had the antipasto salad and I didn't care for it. We all shared the chicken Rangoon app and everyone loved it and everyone else had the motor city pizza which was spectacular and huge. Now it's a brew pub so all micro beers which I don't care for but the brew pub guy that was with us loved all four in his flight. So nothing bad, I'm just not a brew pub guy, I hope that's fair. Had a fun time at this tucked away brewery gem that has a chill vibe. The eats are solid - they have an excellent option of pizza and a wonderful Italian sausage pizza hoagie. The beer is really good and they have sour options which is a must for me. The green monster beer was excellent. People were cool as well. Check it out!! read more

Stopped in earlier today and I was very impressed. Friendly owners and staff. The beers that I tried were excellent. I didn't have any good but the menu seemed to have a good selection. I ended up with a growler of one of the beers and I am looking forward to enjoying that this weekend. Clean facility and good location. A must stop in the area. Mac and cheese bites.. deli soups. Pretzel.. soft by the standard (sounds dirty, but many places offer a huge dot pretzel now) is kinda small. But the mustard and cheese sauces make up where the pretzel size may lack. The beers were cold, and delicious. I highly recommend the blood Orange brew. read more

I am always driving by this place so gave it a try. I first got "Shipping Off To Florida" which is a sweet IPA. It was ok. I could taste the "IPA", but couldn't taste the pineapple at all. I was disappointed so I switched to the Sweet Cranberry Cider. Now that was delicious! Perfectly sweet and crisp with a tad of tartness. I ordered a salad for dinner. The pizza looked and smelled amazing, but I didn't want anything too heavy. The antipasto salad was made fresh and had ingredients. The downfall was the dressing. I'd love to see a homemade/house Italian. Their Italian was the same Italian you'd get at the Ponderosa buffet. Aside from the Italian, no complaints on my salad. It was big, fresh, and tastey. The service was great. There were two ladies working. One was a younger woman who was hustling and preparing food while the other ran around taking and dropping off orders. Both very nice and very good at their job. Next time I must try the pizza! I will review when I do. read more

Visited Heartland Brewing for the first time today and I don't think we could have received a warmer welcome! We got the last two seats at the bar and Kelsey the bartender gave us some samples right off the bat and some friendly regulars on both sides of us gave some great recommendations. The Hartland Brewery is def a solid spot for good brew. It's about 20min north of my home and I'm not in the area often, so I was happy to find it! I've had a few visits this year and enjoyed everything they offered. My group tried a couple different flights of beer and we were pleasantly surprised how tasty they were. I think my fav was the blood orange The staff was extremely and helpful with their beer/food info. We ordered pizza and a charcuterie board and enjoyed them both. If I lived closer they would see me often, it's def worth a visit. Pro tip, one day a week they have a great special on pizza, I think it's Thursday, but you might want to call and check! read more

What a fun brewery! We happened to be out in the area and noticed a new brewery close by...of course we had to check it out! We found seats at the bar and ended up talking to the owner. We decided to split a flight and try a sampling of beers. They had a special menu for St. Patty's Day. We ordered the Reuben pizza....WOW!!!!! It was delicious. Let's just say, we polished off this pizza before the end of the night. Lol We had a great time and the beer was very good. They even had an area set up outside with fire pits. Our day trip started here. We weren't sure what to expect when we pulled up. It's in a strip mall and didn't appear very big. It was lunch time on a week day, so wasn't very busy. There were two other couples there sitting at the bar. We sat down and had the friendliest bartender! He was super helpful and allowed us to taste as many beers as we wanted. They had some very interesting choices. We got a flight of 5 beers and split it. My three choices were the banana split milk shake which was a cream ale on nitro. I also chose a peach lager, and a chocolate oatmeal stout. He chose an amber and an Octoberfest. The beers were all delicious. They had a limited menu of food, which looked pretty good but we didn't eat. The pretzels look really good. But we really just had a good time chatting with the other Patrons and the bartender. This place was solid all around. They have a small menu, which is pizza centered, but their non pizza selections were solid. I got the antipasto salad and my husband got the turkey sandwich and we both really enjoyed our meals. I almost ordered pizza, but chose not as they only have one size and we weren't going home after so the leftovers would have gone bad. :( That being said, most everyone else had pizza and it look amazing. Can't wait to come back and try their pickle pizza. They have a decent drink selection of beer on tap with Faygo products for non alcoholic drinks. Open and casual atmosphere and the service was great. Prices weren't outrageous either. The only weird/different thing was they use disposable plates, utensils and water cups. Very nice find through the Michigan Hops Passport! We stopped here on a Monday for dinner. The menu is primarily focused on pizza, with a few sandwiches and other appetizers. The Detroiter pizza we had was outstanding, similar to Buddy's but much more flavorful, it was filling enough for both my husband and I and we had leftovers. The beer offerings were excellent and they offer multiple sizes of u to oh don't want to drink alot. I had the Peanut Butter Stout, which had a nice aroma and was not overpowering with peanut butter. My husband had the Blood Orange IPA, which was also excellent and not very hoppy. We will definitely return here! read more

I'm recently a mug club member at HB. As such I have been trying to get here more often and drink some good beer. Well they have some great beer. The blood orange ipa and session ipa are great! The place is quaint and the staff are awesome! Mug club means your beer comes in a slightly larger mug which is great! Let me tell you a secret! Their pizza is so delicious. We really love the Hartland Brewery.  First, great pizza.  No, really, really great pizza. Great beer. They try lots of new things. Latest beer is a peanut butter. I never believed I would like something like this but it's really good. Go figure.. I generally drink the Hop Dodger. It's good. They also have wine and cider. Never did the cider but love the wine. Another important thing, the staff. Really great people. They do their best to make sure everyone is served and feel like friends/family.  Couple of folks that stand out for me is Eric, Rachelle, James, John, Dana, Grayce, Christine, Sandra, Kyle, Levi, Alexis, Katie, Arron (brewer master) and MORE! I FINALLY got a chance to try this awesome little upstart brew pub , conveniently located in Hartland near 59 * 23. The owner is 20+ year restauranteur , so you know they have it dialed in-- But you have to give them tremendous kudos for having a grand opening and a 1st year of business during the Covid pandemic. Family owned and super attentive and friendly staff is always present, and they have a variety of their own self brewed beers freshly tapped, so there is something for everyone. Had a chix capicola sand that has this super yummy balsamic and onion Jam that balances the spices on the entre perfectly . highly recommend and will definitely frequent. read more

I waited a couple months before trying this place but they still need to figure out what they want to be. I like the decor. They did a nice job there. The menu is interesting, not what I expected. I thought this might be a 'wing and burger' place. The menu is more sophisticated than that. However, the experience is not very good. The employees seem disengaged. They couldn't answer any questions about the beer. My food came out in a paper bowl. I had to ask for silverware and got plastic. You can't offer charcuterie and specialty sandwichs on paper plates. This place has potential. The food and beer were good, but they need to figure out the rest. I will give them another couple months and try again. read more

Where to even begin. Walked in and it looked ok for a strip mall brewery. Sat at the bar and had the worst brewery experience I have ever had. First off, they don't have prices for food?!? Nothing worse than that. Food prep table behind the bar looked like they had bought everything from Gordon foods in Brighton. Literally saw sliced sandwich cheese slices for their charcuterie board and let's just say they looked awful. Salad was in a pre prepared in plastic ziplock bag. Frozen pretzels just covered in butter. All food served on paper plates (excerpt the charcuterie board which was a tiny piece of wood).I would avoid the food after what I saw. Trash on the floor was such a nice site. The servers take the food tickets, ball them up and attempt a Koby the shot into a trash can and miss about 50% of the time. The area near the brew vats had Home Depot buckets scattered and what looked like proofing bread on a bread rack mixed in all together with a bunch of other crap. It is just trashy looking. This place needs to keep the food and beer separate. I know they are limited in space, but something has to change. Beer was ok. But my wife had a beer and I had a flight with 4 samples and it was almost $20. This place has a long way to go before it is even acceptable. Over priced, crap beer, and food is comparable to a dive bar. I challenge the owner to go sit at the bar during a busy night and take a look at the site the consumer has to look at. Left Hartland Brewing with a bad taste in my mouth. Not from the beer. Been looking forward to visiting for what seems like two years when I heard murmurs of it. This was my 807th brewery and the first that I ever walked out infuriated. I walked in sat down with four others at the bar. Not busy. I see 5 employees. One serving, 2 food prepping, 2 standing near me chatting. Server is pouring samples for couple beside me. I wait. Two more customers enter the brewery, sit down and soon servers pours them sample flight. I wait. Server then takes food order from couple beside me. I wait. Now server thinks she is caught up. Finally see me and brings me beer menu. I said in a low voice so other couple would not hear, "You know how. I've been waiting" Server said she is the only server. I said "but I was here before the last customers entered." She apologized saying she did not see me. This is a small place with only 10 people, 5 being employees. I pointed that out and the server said the two talking were in training. This place just opened so I understand the trainee situation but they just ignored me, too engrossed in there own chat. Server did offer a food menu but I just wanted to leave. I did have a double ipa that tasted very good. I left but never my usual dollar/drink tip because I still believe t.i.p. stands for To Insure Promptness. read more

We went to try during trivia night. Owner welcomed us and was friendly. Waitress was attentive. Pizza was good, no prices on menu but ours set us back about $20 for four toppings, fed two. I tried a couple beers, one I just couldn't drink and set aside, had a strange taste, the other couple we tried were pretty good. They had a fun atmosphere for the trivia and people were really enjoying themselves. Personally, I would have preferred some softer light ing in there, large open space didn't offer much of an ambience but it's a brewery after all. Good to support a local business, hope they can expand their menu and beers. Offering the option of flights would be a great way for people to try the beers first before deciding what to order. read more
