Usually, choices are slim, mostly fast food. Today we were lucky, Eternity Brewking was open until 6 p.m. I dropped the idea of doing yoga and we got our butts to the place since it was 5 p.m. We kike it a lot. Service was excellent, Kylie (?) was fantastic, friendly, funny, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. She was great with all the customers. The space is open, simple, and comfortable promoting a welcoming atmosphere. Few items on the menu, are simple, and tasty. I had grilled cheese with one of the best tomato soups I had in a long time, great combo. Plenty of gooey yummy cheese and toasted crispy bread I washed that down with a flight of very interesting beers. The one that took me by surprise is When Life Gives You Blueberries. Deceiving and sneaky. My nose thought I was going to drink wine and my taste buds were surprised with the tart-sour taste nothing like a beer. My husband had the chili dog and enjoyed it very much. Aside form the pizza, I got an old fashion from the bar which was well made and tasty in its own right at a very reasonable price of $8 which borders on a steal in my book. Relative to the restaurant it is quite large with ample seating and a slew of TV's strategically scattered about to allow you to watch the big game which we did on this occasion watching UConn score an amazing comeback win against Duke in an Elite 8 game. NICE! The game and the food alone made for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience for sure. Staff is super friendly with great follow up and was another big plus for us. Overall a great place to grab a bite to eat, in particular their pizza, especially if there is a big game on TV. We will definately be coming here again iin the not to distant future.

A table of moms, aunts, uncle and cousins who do not spend enough time together had an absolutely delightful time in Bourbon's New Orlean's style gallery. Candy, our "Elise Boudreaux" for the evening, made our entire family from 8-75 years of age, feel at home! Her attention to every detail was truly the mark of a professional! I did report that I thought my cocktail glass may have had a hole in it LOL. Not a big deal, it was quickly replaced. Thank you Candy and all the Bourbon staff! BTW the food is always good, the atmosphere is always inviting and the people are so very precious!

The tables on the side of the building are not as exciting as the seating at the front of the building. Our waiter had such an energetic vibe and was very polite. We had water within a minute of sitting down. Our order was very fast. Easily within 10 minutes. Very impressive! I loved the southern fried chicken with the mashed sweet potatoes. Their cornbread was so moist and had a nice flavor. The breading on the chicken was perfectly cooked and had a nice sweet flavor. We decided on the bread pudding for dessert which was easily a shareable item. So much flavor and wasn't too overly sweet with the candied pecans and sweet drizzle topping. Flavor was very well balanced.

For informational purposes, they use beef tallow in their fryer, which eliminates a lot of the menu for me.

The drinks were poorly made and the attitude of the one bartender that was actually working besides the other one being on her cell phone, where it was more important then helping us as we stood at the bar waiting to be served. The waitress was nice but very apologetic for all bar issues and she shouldn't have had to do that for poor service and lazy rude employees. A few of us ended up going downstairs to the bar and getting an actual proper cocktail. I will not return to the pound.
