    IPA....

Good atmosphere and location located right in the heart of Ann Arbor. I ate at the bar upstairs which had some "Alien" movie playing on the screens. Unfortunately, the food was just "okay" and the service was really poor. I thought it was just me, but it seems to be a common theme with other locals. On the beer front, I had a good IPA!

Great beer, great atmosphere, and very friendly workers. Decided to check this place out and I'm glad I did. I will definitely be back. No complaints at all.

It's not much to look at, but the beer is good.

Food is average. Good beer selection. Love the old Mission Peninsula. Desserts are good. Friendly service.

He also makes and sells kimchee and black garlic (in season). While we were there, a family pulled in asking for help. Their boat trailer had somehow detached from their vehicle and was laying, tilted forward on the pavement. The folks from MBW saved their day, offering their time and a tractor fitted with lift forks. Definitely worth a leisurely drop in. My favorite was the Belgian White.

In fact, after my visit, I think I actually appreciate its rough appearance. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was entering "the real deal" of craft; nothing fancy - just quality. In addition to his beers, he also makes his own spirits and the whiskey was absolutely phenomenal. I'm not a huge whiskey guy so I'm sure a "snobby" person may have a different opinion but it's most definitely worth a shot during your visit. The owner, who was working behind the bar, was extremely personable and seemed to make quick friends with every guest that came in. You could tell he takes a lot of pride in his craft. I will be back and will make sure I bring others with me to experience this hidden gem.

Had a tasty flight with a Belgian ale, strawberry ale that were my favorite! Parking is tricky. They have a few spots here and there. The team here asked us to order at the bar before being seated. I don't know if that is their normal process. If it is...it might work well for the restaurants logistics but it creates a less than desirable dinning feel for me. The order takers were very friendly and helpful. They hustled to process the train passengers. The seating area is a large open room. It feels like an old factory turned beer garden. The floors are a nice hardwood. Not much decor or atmosphere in this large room. They did have a singer as entertainment which wasn't the best. For food I started with the potstickers. These weren't your traditional Chinese potsticker. They were over fried and tough. The filling was vegan instead of pork. It didn't work for me and wasn't very tasty. Kinda tough and flavorless. The sweet chili sauce really helped. I also tried the BBQ Mac Burrito. The BBQ was good but not very plentiful. It was a bit hard to find that taste. The Mac & Cheese was nice and creamy. The noodles were soft. Served alone I think they would be fine. Stuffed in a burrito....not a fan of. Please be aware that they don't give free refills on soda. We didn't have table service outside of someone dropping off food. Overall I will give them four stars for opening up special for the train tour. Otherwise I was rather unimpressed with this establishments process and food.
