Beer was really good but soup was half full for the price and nachos were full of dry chips with only a few bites of toppings. Resturant was very slow as it was later on a weekday. But still I expected better.. read more

Brewery Becker - Trying some new ones..love #4 Entire Button lol - Breweries Near Me - Brighton, Michigan

Pros Interesting selection of original brews Real beer people run this place No real food on the menu, so you can sit and have a beer without taking up a dinner table Sip your beer and hang with friends Cons No real food on the menu. Over a dozen or so visits over almost two years there is sometimes some food. If it is busy, you wait. There is no real system in place, so if the bar tender isn't paying attention you can be last in line even if you've been first for ten minutes. Some times there is wait staff. Sometimes not. Sometimes they dissapear. read more

A lot of money spent on atmosphere but no wine or alcohol just craft beers. Didn't stay since craft beer is not for us. Three star rating because all other restaurants have liquor license read more

Fun atmosphere. Great outdoor area to enjoy a beer. Orange Shandy...yum. Friendly staff...only thing missing was live music. read more

This is a great brewery! However, we bought a Groupon & used it on a date night w/limited timing. We decided on flights, some food, & a 2 beers. Beware: your Groupon does not go towards food or flights!!!! Bullshit! Complete Bullshit with a Capital B! Our server was very knowledgeable, however, when I presented the Groupon, our server got very sympathetic, but said in the fine print of the Groupon, food & flights do not count towards the Groupon! Again, complete Bullshit! But the beer is very good!!!!!! read more

A few years ago, when the brewery was initially slated to open (June 2010), the anticipation of drinking home brew here was killing the city of Brighton! Now, several years and millions of dollars later we have our brewery and the buzz has all but died. The place is nice and updated on the inside, if you like new construction and traversing a few scary staircases- it's only a matter of time before someone takes a header off of the third floor. Speaking if the third floor- the furniture is CHEAP- we sat at the wobbliest table I ever met. I thought it just needed to be screwed onto the base better- nope, just tacky and cheap. Our group had a difficult time finding where three million dollars plus got dumped into this place- it was certainly not spent on layout (third floor- if you can call it a level-should have been constructed towards the front of the building and not the back where there is NO view and frankly not much room to move around, most of it feels more like a catwalk. There was no service to speak of so we kept having to go down said scary stairs and refill our beverages- we only did that once because our beer was not tasty enough to risk our lives for more. We were bored out of our minds after five minutes with absolutely NOTHING to do. In hindsight I would have brought a deck of cars-anything. We sat and noticed a lot of customers leave after being there only a short period of time- leaving full beers on their tables. Not a good sign! After my first beer I began to feel so painfully bloated- also not a sign of a quality brew. The other guests in our party of 7 were less than impressed and sadly we don't anticipate that we will be patronizing this establishment in the future. Not only does this establishment not offer a menu but must be too cheap to put out even pretzels or typical bar fare. I don't see how this novelty will survive past daddy's deep pockets. read more

Beer is not great. the IPA tasted like a store bought ale. We asked if we could check out the upstairs and were told to go ahead. As we were leaving the owner told us we needed his permission next time to go upstairs. Sorry for spending money in your establishment on an otherwise dead Tuesday evening. Won't be back. Don't wAnt to be any hassle to you. read more

Had a Groupon, which made beer a good value. Hubby liked the beer well enough. Service was fine. Food was terrible. Only beer is available so no options for me and ended up getting a coffee that took a while since it needed to be brewed. Beef sandwich was full of gristle and had far too much salt on the bun. Hummus platter was the worst ever had. Crappy pita, zero flavor in hummus plus nasty texture. Total busy for me, but there stars due to hubby liking the beer. read more

Love this place! The beer is served at the correct temp and awesome! The atmosphere is beautiful and well done. The staff was friendly and prompted. read more

Beer is tasty, beautiful building but bartenders are always so rude. I stopped going in there. I'm done.

Not all that impressed other than the building is neat and a decent place to hangout. The beer is average.

They have some pretty good beer and a great atmosphere. I know they are just starting out and figuring out what people like, but many of the beers I enjoyed were rotated off of their tap. They do have a nice variety and some very dark, high-alcohol content beers. It truly is a great place to bring friends or people from out of town. Pluses: - The outside patio is nice and they should consider leveraging it for the winter time. - Good beer - Beautiful interior - Friendly staff Minuses: - No food, but local places deliver - It is hard to host group events here since there is no group seating. - They only have one TV and it is blocked by the stairs for half of the brewery - Prices are on the high side - They rotate their beers too quickly read more

Nice place with a good atmosphere. The people that work there are real neat folks. There was also an interesting batch of customers there when I visited. I had a lot of laughs and conversation. The beers are great and not your run of the mill selection that you see at most breweries. The menu is short but tasty. I'm going to stop by again. read more

This place is beautiful! I'm not sure how they stay in business because it seems like it's dead all the time but I hear you can rent out the space for parties. You can bring in your own food as long as you get a beer to drink which their beer selection is delicious. Very tasty! I hope this place stays in business because it is beautiful! Love the location and the outdoor patio! Multiple stories and so clean read more

I'm not really one for craft beers these days. They're kinda a gamble, but this place has some very nice selections. It's a beautiful historic building that maintains a classic, yet current feel. The cozy architecture and antique lighting create the illusion it's a simpler time and that's comforting. It's a very nice place with good service and reasonable prices. read more

BEAUTIFUL building. The atmosphere is fantastic however the service is subpar. I'm not sure if it was the holiday crowd but it took over 20 minutes to be greeted by a server. Beer is not too bad for being a newer establishment, they have a minimal food selection otherwise you are welcome to order in food. Lots of games are around the brewery available for patrons. I'd visit here again! read more

Great beer. Definitely not your everyday brews you might find at most craft establishments, but I commend them for their effort to bring back some lost styles. Light food options and great restored building make this a valued stop as well. read more

Love this place! Lots of different beers, so there's something for everyone. The building was beautifully renovated and the owner, Matt, did an amazing job of holding true to the history of the building. He is also incredibly knowledgeable about the building and is more than happy to answer any questions you can think to ask! The outside beer garden is a wonderful place to relax and spend an afternoon or evening. The staff are all so friendly and attentive as well. A great place all around! read more

Absolutely one of my favorite places. Granted, I like the beer immensely, while it may not be for everyone. While I may not like stout beers, I won't give a low rating to an establishment that makes stouts. Brewery Becker makes extremely good wheat beers - my taste of course. They are based on older European recipes that I have not experienced before. Definitely worth a try. Wait staff is some of the nicest and most genuine I've run into. I'm a long time local in the area and can't think of a staff I prefer. We're always greeted with a smile and genuine conversation, which is not something I can say for other area establishments. The outside beer garden is not only nice, but a hot spot that fills up quickly. My wife and I have always been partial to bars on the water of a lake/ocean. Yet today we realized we get a similar relaxation in Brewery Becker's beer garden. At night historic lanterns are lit, along with heaters, if necessary, and two gas fire places. The level of care taken to renovate the building is very cool to see, and the owner can tell you just about anything you want to know about it's history or what he did to make it what it is today. While the beer garden is great, the building's interior has been beatifully done. If the main floor is too crowded try going to the second floor or the plush couches and chairs on the third floor. It was furnished and built to provide a historic, yet personal, feel. There are also various games throughout to keep entertainment high. It may not be for everyone, but it's certainly worth the old college try. The start was rocky, for my wife and I, but the final product has been highly enjoyable. read more

Visited last weekend with a Groupon and was pleasantly surprised! Great German beer and friendly staff! The building is absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely be back! read more

Really impressed with this place! On point beers and top notch food! The building is beautiful and unique just like the beers. They brew a huge variety of beer, so I suggest getting a flight of everything on the wall, $2 per brew. Try the tradition mustards too, that hot one is so spicy! So many tasty beers, it's hard to pick a favorite. read more

I have been looking for a craft brewery that I love around here and have found one at last! The building is absolutely gorgeous. The inside is super neat and the outside patio is just lovely in the summer. Their beer selection is a good size that includes a variety of different tastes and alcohol levels, so there is definitely something for everyone. One of my main go-to places! read more

Great people, great beers. Owners are very nice, hands on. If you want a great beer at a good price check them out.

Amazing atmosphere, delicious craft beers and the best salsa ever. Open mic night is the best night to be there!!!! I will totally be back

I used to go there and play shuffleboard but they rufuse to provide sand for the board and it renders the shuffleboard useless. This went on for about 6 months before I quit going there. Easy fix and stupid not to get some sand read more

Come here for the beer! There are plenty of other places in Brighton for great food. The beer and the atmosphere in this historically renovated 1800's hotel are deliciously unique and super enjoyable. Can't wait to come back! read more

Beautiful building with an amazing ambiance. Very friendly and helpful staff too!!!! Delicious beer and something for everyone! They allow you to bring in your own food, but have snacks on hand of many varieties. FYI, they also rent out space for gatherings. Absolutely love this place! read more

This place is great! We met 4 different people that kept telling us to check this place out. They have a few small snacks on the menu (popcorn, pretzels, sausage bites) but the cool thing is that you can bring in outside food. And there are a ton of restaurants in that area so you can easily grab food and bring it over. They have a beautiful outside garden area to sit. And the staff was very friendly and helpful while we were choosing our beers. A bonus for me was that I just started watching the tv series, Vikings, and this brewery seem to fit right in! read more

First time to BB last night and really enjoyed myself. Setting was great--started in the courtyard until we got a little cool and went inside. The decor and vibe is great. The beers were really great--sampled about half of them. I've been in the area and I don't know why hadn't come before. I'll be back. Side note, we ordered takeout from Main Crossing across the street that SUPPOSEDLY delivered to BB, but I was told they don't deliver during their "dinner rush" so I had to walk over to bring our food back, and the place was less than a fourth full. C'mon... read more

I love almost every beer on the menu and the menu rotates often which keeps this beer enthusiast coming back often. Staff is friendly and fast. Enough variety of food to pair nicely with the beer such as sausages, soft pretzels, and beef sandwich. My tip- get the beer cheese and German mustard with the pretzel. It's not a restaurant so don't expect a full menu, however outside food and delivery is plentiful from all the down town options. The beer garden is one of the best in the state! Award winning. read more

I went to Brewery Becker for the first time this weekend and I LOVED it. They were busy but service was still great. They have a ton of games, darts, and plenty of seating. The beer was wonderful. It looked like they served concession-like food (I didn't eat here) but they let you bring your own food in. The owner was the bartender for my group and he was fantastic. Very nice and a great host. I highly recommend this place as a hangout or a place to grab a beer after work or a date. read more

Always love going here to catch up with friends and grab a good beer. The staff is great and I love the atmosphere

Wow, the beer is great for the classic Styles they do. Don't expect the multiple IPA's filling the beer list. Review their current on tap menu and expect really great beers. We ordered food and after seeing the bartender assembled the order I was hesitant but surprised that it was still good. Come for the beer but eat if you're hungry read more

So excited about the AMAZING gluten free (de-glutenized) beer selection, delicious!!!! Can't wait to try them all!!! :-D

I loved the beers and the ambiance. The crowd was a bit on the hipster side... but whatever. Our world needs all kinds. I'd probably check it out again. Wish they had food in-house so I didn't feel like such a drunk going there read more

I've never written a yelp review but I need to give it up to Matt and the gang over at Brewery Becker. The building looks great inside and out. Three stories of micro-brew goodness with taps on the first and second floor. With a beautiful wooden bar, a shuffle-board table, free popcorn, and only one TV, the atmosphere can't be beat. Brewery Becker's best thing they have going for them is the beer (what?! A Michigan micro-brewery with great tasting beer? GTFO!) Seriously though, this place has only been open for about six months, but Becker knows what he's doing. The typical pilsner and IPA are both great, but the more unique German and Scandinavian style brews are why this place gets 5 stars. My personal favorites are the Vargdricka and the seasonal Biere de Noel. Don't listen to the whiny trolls, because I've had nothing but good experiences with the wait staff. Also, they now serve pub fare (soft pretzels, and a few other things, though I haven't tasted anything but the popcorn yet). This place definitely deserves your patronage. read more

I would highly recommend this place! The historical building is gorgeous, and they've done a phenomenal job restoring it! And although I'm not usually a beer drinker, I LOVED the sour ale with the Lingonberry syrup!!!!! We will be back!!!! read more
