Pricey but super delicious coffee! It's worth the price of you need that caffeine dose. We ordered an iced and a hot coffee and both came out just right. Not too sweet. Went in this morning 6/28 at around 9:45-- not a great experience. My pour over was 2/3 full and lukewarm... when I asked the barista about it (blonde woman) she was curt and kept sighing that there was nothing she could do. For almost $4.00, I kinda deserve a full drink or at least a coherent explanation. My friend got a chai latte and hers was lukewarm also. The place is trendy (for worcester) but it has no soul, it's pretty mediocre which is too bad because the location is great and the shop had so much potential. I've been here several times. Great coffee, a nice location, comfortable easy chairs by the windows and outside seating look over the Common. I was disappointed with a bagel I ordered. I should have passed, because the bagels looked like they were store bought, but I was hungry. The bagel was stale, which they must have known about or at least noticed when the picked it up to toast. But they gave it to me anyway. I'll continue coming in for coffee, but I'll skip the baked goods.... read more

This place is my go to spot in downtown. What sets them apart from most other places RIGHT IN DOWNTOWN is that .... everyone who works at Brew is nice, super friendly and acts like they appreciate you patronizing the store and chatting. Other places won't even look at you while they half full your $5 iced coffee but at Brew they chat you up and recognize you. They have everything ready when they open and serve, also unlike some coffee spots also in downtown. AND the smores cookies are absolutely to die for you must try. read more

I saw all the great reviews and had high expectations but only thought this place was ok. I got a chicken salad sandwich which was heavy on the mayonnaise and not particularly flavorful otherwise. I got a chai latte which was also fine but more on the milky side than I like it. I also think they should get reusable cups for people ordering for here! EXCELLENT DOWNTOWN SPOT! Don't miss Brew On The Grid-- it is the OASIS in downtown Worcester! highly recommended in an area mostly lacking in attractive choices for coffee or a snack. The space is warm and comfortable, filled with natural light from large windows overlooking Worcester Common and City Hall, and great seating choices for working on a laptop (free WiFi) or just relaxing in large comfy chairs. Also outdoor seating. Low Noise level allows for conversation, reading, or working, and the music is never intrusive . Coffee/espresso selections are excellent and reasonably priced, and accompanied by a nice selection of baked goods and sandwiches . Staff is always friendly and efficient , and establish a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Any town would value Brew OTG as a prime spot for gathering/meeting/ relaxing/ starting the day. Sleek coffee house in a new, modernesque part of Worcester. I discovered it in my quest for nitro cold brew, which is truly the Holy grail of all coffee. It's about smack dab in the middle of Worcester, right near the library's main branch and not far from most of the colleges. I enjoyed the nitro cold brew immensely--I'll be back here again. Also kudos to the quick and friendly service. And the credit card tipping. I like to tip, but I rarely have cash on me. I may have been a bit over excited when I found out that a coffee shop was opening up on the common, but Brew is still pretty good. The cold brew is good and the drink prices are reasonable. I wasn't super impressed with the cappuccino, which was not as lovingly made as you would get at a truly coffee obsessed kind of place. I guess this is aimed more at the Starbucks market, the food is certainly as mediocre as Starbucks. I guess this is an acceptable substitute, but its nothing more than that. read more

There were three people in my group and each one of us had to change what we wanted for lunch since they were out of most everything. It was 1:00 on a Saturday, so I can only assume that they must have been busy in the morning and unable to restock their salad and sandwich offerings. The Cesar salad was served with some atrocious dressing that was anything but traditional. The staff seemed disorganized and disinterested in heir jobs. The ambience was great, however...but it takes more than just a room to get me to want to return. read more

I'm very excited to see a coffee shop that isn't a national doughnut chain, especially something with extended hours, right in downtown. I stopped by on the initially scheduled opening last week and was offered to get free coffee while they were testing the staff out. Sadly it was so busy i couldn't wait. Fast forward to today, I made my first stop. I started with a cold brew on Nitro which was nice and creamy (No need to add the extra calories from milk and sugar, just have them fill it up) and relaxed on one of the leather chairs. After finishing that off, I ordered one of the microlot coffee's on the Saraphim coffee maker. I also ended up buying the Korean Kimchi salad which was very good. I'm looking forward to trying one of the sandwiches and some espresso from the $20,000 Italian espresso machine. read more

The workers there were so nice, I had obviously never been there before because while I was ordering I stumbled a bit trying to figure out what I wanted, they were so patient while waiting for me to make up my mind. The caramel iced coffee was absolutely amazing!! I got a breakfast sandwich along with my large iced coffee and the price was only 7$!! Lastly, the vibe/ environment was so chill in there I loved it, 10/10 for Instagram photos as well, love this place and would recommend to anyone. read more

It's hard to find good coffee in Massachusetts but these guys do it right. The espresso is flavorful, not burned or watery like many of the other places I've been. They make a mean latte as well. The owner and the staff are extremely friendly and it's a pleasure to get my morning coffee from this place everyday before work. The only thing that could be better is there chocolate for their mochas. They use the generic Monin. If they switched to something like Ghirard aelli, they'd be top notch. That being said, their still one of the best places I've been in this state and I have traversed the whole of it. read more

I was really impressed with this place. I've been in a couple of times for a cup of coffee. Better coffee for less than you would pay at Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts (which isn't necessarily what you would expect from an independently owned place, especially in Worcester). There were lots of varieties of coffee drinks and different types of tea. They also have some pastry, bagel-y, sandwich-y, salad-y menu items (even a vegan sandwich, which is another rarity at a Worcester coffee place). Large nonfat latte with an extra shot $5.15. Taste is pretty standard, nothing great or terrible. Similar to what you'd get at a Peet's. Darker roast with more on the earthy side. Extra shot was a good call because it wasn't that strong. Nice place, fast service. Be careful to check that the milk they have sitting on the side to add to your coffee is fresh. This place is great. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by the friendliest barista. She was personable and so kind and definitely loved her job. She made me a great iced coffee after a great conversation of the local Grid restaurants in the area. I then settled into the cafe to do some studying. Great location on the Common with modern urban decor and a variety of seating (from squishy chairs, two person tables, a bar at the window, and two long tables for large groups or multiple smaller parties). Fine variety of drinks with some sandwiches and breakfast/lunch items. However, the sandwiches are all pre-made. My egg and cheese on an English muffin was simply reheated and served to me. Sadly, while the edges were warm, the inside was cold & the cheese not melted. They also don't have condiments (ketchup would have helped the cold sandwich!) I'm also not a big fan of the Muzak playing in the background. However, it's great to have another cafe in the city, and especially nice to have one downtown. read more

I ask was it taxes, she said bagels and croissants are an upgrade. I replied but your sign doesn't say bagels are extra. I wonder of anyone else has had the same experience. The Brew is a place to get a good cup of coffee, but you either hit or miss with the food that they have to offer. They also really could use a change in background music, it's elevator music. It has a nice interior great for lounging. read more

me thinks NOT! ordered a cold brew coffee, had no idea they had nitro, would have been nice if the girl asked if i wanted nitro or regular. the coffee was average , at best. ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was horrible. bagel was hard as a rock. the egg was microwaved and the bacon was pre-cooked. it was impossible to eat. on the bright side, it was nice in there and the 3 workers were nice, but could've suggested nitro brew and realized the bagel was old and hard. i would NOT recommend this place to anyone. stay away! read more
