This was my second time ordering from here. This experience was not so great. I was the only person in the establishment as it just opened but still felt rushed. After placing my order and getting home the order was still wrong. This place is a little pricey so to drive 25 minutes back home with something you didn't want on your sandwich is not pleasant. Initial impressions were more focused on the price/value of the sub, as there are many steak and cheese options for less with bigger portions. Thankfully, it was a solid sandwich. It did not feel greasy. A little bread heavy. Not too salty. The pupu didn't taste like Chinese food but was good regardless. My fam like their subs too. The onion rings fell apart when you try to pick them up, but they were crispy. The waffle fries were soggy, but we attributed it to it being delivered. First time being here, I was pleasantly surprised! I was intrigued by this place as there is a word going around about their food. Saw the pictures of their items and chose the OG sub along with a ZB soda. It was reasonably priced and a fullfilling meal. I enjoyed it, it did not feel greasy, so, it felt easy to digest. It has a decent size of space and I like the decor. People are nice there. The only downside I would say they only accept cash unless you don't mind using their ATM to withdraw money for a fee. I've been following this guy for a couple years now. Talk about chasing your dreams...this guy got it!!! So this guy (Mike) starts out during Covid doing pop ups at local breweries and such and he uses social media to create this buzz. Then he gets himself an awesome food truck and posts everyday where he'll be set up and before you know it he's been invited to our beautiful new Polar Park baseball stadium to do a gig there. Now he tops it off and opens his own store front. I'm following this and I hadn't even tried any of his creations yet!!! There has been a LOT of chatter about Ziggy's Bombs, mostly good and some bashing too. Every time someone bashes them on social media Mike has always taken the high road and has either offered to make it right with the complainer if they stop back in or he just thanks them for giving his place a try. We finally made a point of heading into Worcester to try Ziggy's (we were waiting for all the hoopla to calm down). The place is beautiful, they did a really nice job renovating and making it modern and fun. Our sandwiches were AMAZING (we shared both of them) and that sauce that was on mine was running down my hands (nice restroom for washing up after!). We will definitely be back and Mike just announced he's opening a second location in Leicester, MA which is a little closer for us to get to. Pro- very lively local brand with an innovative menu. Con- Cash only with a Clover POS system is BS in 2024. The credit card system has been "temporarily" disabled for many weeks. Having to take money out of a ATM with a $2.75 fee and then waiting 25 minutes while other people were coming and going for a sandwich was a little annoying. Pro-Because it's cash only I come less often, which is good because the menu is so caloric. read more

Went back for the PuPu but was side track by the Ziggy Mac Smashburger. It was Amazing.....the burgers were cooked perfect with that little crust on it that makes you want to order a couple more. Menu is actually somewhat limited for a sub shop and when I tried to order a burger I was directed to the Instagram to check their stories for a burger special - and it was detailed to me that this is the only burger that is available to order at any given time - fortunately I was into the special burger (hot sauce and jalapeños with pepper Jack) but I find it so crazy ridiculous that you can't just order a plain cheeseburger? Like it HAD to come with the toppings - idk kinda strange. Only drinks are Aquafina (Pepsi's rebottled tap water) or the white labeled "homemade" sodas that are loaded with sugar and not actually made by them (lots of places do this. ) It's a great company I just not theirs) Basic steak sun was so mediocre it was just like ... ok so they paid f For fantastic marketing and social media campaigns... and skimped on the food.... They don't do take out orders??? 5 customers and no take out orders!!!. If you prefer your Philly cheesesteak wit onions you better like it wit peppers too. Greatest place in Worcester every time I go to that city I go to Ziggys. I get to walk my dog around the Commons and have amazing food.

So...with all the hype, I couldn't wait to try it...and wanted to rave about it afterwards...I went in with High Expectations...perhaps, too high. Never made it to the Food Truck, but recently visited the 'brick and mortar' shop. So...my partner and I had 2 OG's, some Waffle Fries and two of their signature sodas. Soda was fine. Nothing spectacular. No bottled water. The total price was around $51.00...which is a bit higher than what you might pay getting a steak-n-cheese, a side and two bevies. Now, let me preface this with we've love Steak-N-Cheese. We've been to Philly...and had some incredible 'cheesesteak' sandwiches. I'd say in New England, you're limited to the chain sandwich stores...and most Ma-N-Pa Pizza shops will serve up some sort of Steak-N-Cheese. All-in-all, disappointed. The Good - Friendly staff...the guys are great. Lots of steak-n-cheese options...from the OG to some crazy concoctions. I had the OG and it wasn't awful, just pricey. Waffle fries were a nice option to get, but weren't on par with Chick-Fil-A's. The Bad - I don't claim to be a beef expert, but I am thinkin' that isn't Ribeye that they're using, for if they were, they would probably say so on their site...but at least they seem to be grilling up the meat to order. The beef they use was fine, albeit, a bit salty. No mushrooms here. Onions and Peppers, I believe, are pre-sautéed so you can't get one without the other. And the bread...may have been the biggest bummer. It reminded me of a big Hot Dog Bun. Not the NE Style Hot Dog Bun, the big ol' bready hot dog bun. Wasn't super soft like 'just-baked-this-AM', but wasn't stale either. The Ugly - Parking in downtown Worcester is a challenge to visit any business unless you're going to Park Garage it. Otherwise, you'll need to ride around the block, looking for someone's blinker to give you an opening. I am just not sure the value is there. In comparison... - This reminded me of a better Subway Steak-N-Cheese. - I'd say D'Angelo's rivals it in my mind. - About the same way I feel about Breen's Café, but Breen's, last I checked, was under $10. - Any Ma-N-Pa pizza shop could deliver something pretty close...and prolly cheaper. Keep in mind, this was ZigB's OG vs other similar sandwiches at other shops. I am just thinking, for less money and no hassle parking, I can get an OG sandwich that is arguably just as good, if not better. Maybe the crazy option sandwiches they have are better? PuPu Platter, The Big Mac'ish one...but idk... Give it a try certainly...it's just not outstanding in my mind. If the pricepoint were a bit milder on the wallet, there'd be more value. If you do love ZigB's, go you... You're just a Steak-N-Cheese newbie. No shame, no foul. read more

What was ordered: Pupu platter steak Philly steak Rodeo steak Waffle fries with bacon & cheese Reg Fries 3 bottles of root beer 2 special sauces Honestly, I was so excited about this restaurant finally launching. The place looks awesome. Unfortunately, the experience was not good. 1. The parking was awful. 2. Tried ordering just a plain Philly steak with no veggies and was told all steak orders are pre-made with onions and peppers. Really? Why!? 3. Only Root beer soda was available until Tues delivery....yuck! 4. Our number was called to grab our food. When I got to the table and took out the food, nothing was labeled and all where in white boxes. I opened each box and gave each order to each person. Everyone said it wasn't what was ordered so I called over an employee to check the order. It wasn't my order so they took it back to figure out the mess up. After everyone touched it and finally figured out it was the person's before us is order. Instead of making a new order they just repackaged the order and gave it the person.....really! 5. Our food was finally ready and brought over. Everyone said the same thing, the sandwiches were cold and flavorless. The bread was cold & dry. Waffle fries were salty and cold. Regular fries oily and also slightly warm. The Boom Boom sauce honestly was ketchup & mayo and is definitely not worth $2.25! Granted 2nd day grand opening, I can understand the "kinks" but everyone behind the counter is fooling around (which is probably the reason the order's got confused & mixed up!) The entire order was definitely over priced for what was served. To each their own on what is liked but again compared to other establishments this didn't even come close.....I hope with time this restaurant gets better. No peppers or onions were on my steak sub. They " forgot " to tell me they were out of stock and were waiting for delivery. So why was I charged full price which is way too much as it is?! The quality of meat wasn't anything special. I can make a better steak sandwich using Steak Uma found in the freezer section at my local grocery store. Also, they had no fries available either.
