First off, I love Ziggy Bomb. This isnt my first order. That being said, they hurt my feelings tonight. Ordered Ribs, the PuPu Sub and Mexican Street Corn Sub. The Ribs were on point, the PuPu Sub was great and flavorful per usual. The Mexican Street Corn Sub was the problem. It was dry and was missing the street corn (It had regular corn on it). No roasted peppers or onions, cotija cheese or cilantro. Very disappointed!!! I'm willing to give that sub another try at a later date. But quality control needs to be on point. read more

A popular Worcester cheesesteak sub shop has opened near BU! Ziggy Bombs serves up a variety of specialty steak & cheese subs, smash burgers, chopped cheese, kickin chicken strips, wraps, fries, nachos, salads, deep fried ribs, and chicken wings. They also have a few kinds of Ziggy Pop in the cooler. This outpost is located on Amory Street, just off Comm Ave near Target. The place is order at the counter with a long food prep/grill area and inside table seating. There's also a flatscreen TV mounted on the wall. Since I had credits, I placed an online order via DoorDash to Ziggy Bombs ordering the Bacon Mac & Cheese Steak Sub ($16.99 plus tax) and an order of Onion Rings ($6.99 plus tax). My order was ready & bagged in about 12 minutes after placing my order. The Bacon Mac & Cheese Steak Sub was very heavy & overloaded and cut in half and boxed. There was plenty of soft grilled shaved steak with melted American cheese, sauteed onions, roasted red peppers, real bacon bits, fried mac & cheese bites & sriracha aioli in a soft chewy sub roll. This steak & cheese sub was a great choice! The battered onion rings were slightly chewy and decent. I will have to keep Ziggy Bombs on rotation for my post concert eats, since there are a few music venues nearby and limited late night options for food. What an incredible place! I've been ignoring this entire food group of subs, burgers and sandwiches my entire life. I've had it before but not my immediate go-to cuisine at all. I saw some reels on IG and it got me tempted to try them out. Their specialty steak and cheese subs are so fun! PB&J, Pu Pu Platter, Mexican Street Corn, just to name a few crazy and unique steak and cheese sub offerings. I went with something basic - the Hot Honey Pepperoni. It was so darn good! We also got the OG Smash Burger. Instead of the mayonnaise based boom boom sauce, I asked for a BBQ sauce substitute. The sauce was super tasty. The boom boom chicken wings is out of this world. I've had my fair share of wings but surprised with how juicy the wings were! Incredible. The fries were loaded with shaved steak, cheese, and lettuce. They even have homemade sodas. In fact, 13 flavors! This is a super fun, clean, comfortable, and inviting joint. The staff are polite and super helpful with the mebu. I really wanted to like these! Ordered the "OG" burger, fries, and a "Hot Honey Pepperoni" steak bomb (hey, gotta eat healthy...) Unfortunately, both sandwiches were so salty with their special seasoning that they were barely edible. I threw out both sandwiches half-eaten. The fries, though, were solid. I am hoping that maybe somebody has a 'heavy hand' that day, and may try once more, since the concept and menu is so great. But that doesn't count for much if execution is poor... read more

today was my fourth or fifth time getting food from them. Every time has been excellent. Portions are generous and they always get the order right, something that shouldn't be as uncommon as it is. (knock on wood) Definitely recommended. I heard about the shop from friends who go to the one in Worcester but I went to the one in Brookline on Amory Street. Definitely get a sub. They have the best local chicken sandwich, and it's not even close. On top of that, they are constantly trying new dishes and providing deals to their communities. The owner has also given out free food to his communities on a handful of occasions. Anyone that supports his communities and provides great food deserves 5 stars! TLDR: This restaurant consistently has great food, and I will absolutely come back. The chicken wrap was not good. The onions were burned, the chicken didn't taste fresh and tasted like it was made with old grease/dirty stove top. I picked out the onions and it still wasn't good. They were playing inappropriate cartoons on the TV which made me uncomfortable to sit inside.
