A gem of a place that serves authentic Turkish dishes! Dolma was spacious and it felt so inviting. The staff were very welcoming and they answered all of my questions. My friend and I ordered three dishes that were absolutely filling and flavorful. The standout favorite was the moussaka which was beef, eggplant, and tomato sauce. It came with soft and pillowy pita bread that soaked up all of the goodness. Another highlight was the Manti which are Turkish dumplings. The Manti were bite sized dumplings topped with a garlicky yogurt sauce. It was comfort in a bowl! My friend and I were completely satisfied by our experience with the variety of food that Dolma had to offer. There was street parking outside. Dolma had plenty of indoor seating and they offer outdoor seating (unheated).

Very cute and cozy restaurant, and the food was very satisfying. Went here for lunch and they had a table for 4 available. We were able to order directly from the app using the QR code on our table. We ordered vegetarian grape leaves and pita and hummus to start us off. The grape leaves were delicious and so was the hummus. For our entrées, we ordered pepperoni panini, shakshuka, and salmon bake bowl. Food was nicely portioned, we didn't have any leftovers and satisfying for an afternoon meal. We ended our meal with some warm Turkish tea and coffee.

This place is amazing!! We went for the first time last night and were blown away. The staff are super kind and helpful. I am gluten free and they had so many options - she even got me bread for the hummus! I left my bag there and selin our server made sure that it got back to me. She was great! All of the food we tried was incredible. My personal favorite was the dolma but we will be back to try more! Thank you for a great night! Looking forward to returning! Guess which restaurant is a new favorite- yep Dolma!! I love finding new gems like this :) We ordered delivery, food came pretty quickly. As someone else also noted, food was all packed nicely and all in non-plastic containers. And look at the pic how cute the bag had these hearts on it - love the little detail!! As usual we got many dishes - chicken orzo soup, salmon, chicken sauté, eggplant moussakka w lentils, and the shawarma wrap. For each entree you get to choose a carb (rice, bulgur etc) and a cold app (many choices) and pita. We chose rice, tzatziki, sheppard salad, okra and vegan kofte. All the food tasted really good and fresh. Chicken soup was lemony and tasty. Salmon had a nice flavor, chicken dish was flavorful, and the eggplant was really tasty. Tzatziki was very creamy and yummy, and I liked the cucumber pieces in it. The okra was nice too maybe a little over cooked and mushy but still tasty. Salad was nice crunchy with cucumber, tomato, onion, and green peppers very fresh. The amount of rice that comes with each dish could be increased imo especially since most entrees are in the ~$20 range. The vegan kofte was not quite what I expected and a bit too sour for me. Hubs enjoyed the shawarma wrap - although he found a pickle in it and we had requested no pickle. Anyway, lots of leftovers so we'll be enjoying those for a few lunches. All in all, great fresh authentic tasting food! Definitely will be ordering again to try their other dishes. Can't wait!

delicious! & the service was amazing, fuiza was the best!! they have outdoor & indoor seating areas and have wifi. to order, you can self-order using the qr code on the table or there's a tablet at the entrance or you can walk up to the register and they'll take your order. we got grape leaves which i usually don't like bc the store bought ones are too acidic but i loved dolma's 5/5 the baklava was also one of my favorite bites the hummus tasted freshly made and all the bread in the bread basket was top tier for mains we got dolma, moussaka & manti. all very good. the manti were so cute. a lot of the dishes were yogurt-heavy which personally isn't my preference, i might ask for it on the side next time. my favorite main that we ordered was the moussaka

    Appreciated

My wife and I were invited by friends to eat at Dolma in Brookline, MA. Was surprised by the location off of a main road, tucked in a residential area. Was more surprised by how fabulous the food was!!! Everything is made from scratch, with the freshest ingredients from Turkish recipes of the chef's Aunt. Boy did she do her justice. The tabouli with lots of mint was without a doubt the best I have ever had. Same goes for the mousakah and rice, without the heavy sauce and cheese that are found on most. For dessert, the rice pudding and baklava were exceptional, but for me, nothing was better then the thick, sweet Turkish coffee, served with a sweet piece of Turkish Delight. We will gladly drive the 40 minutes to go there again soon!

The dips were all good. The whipped feta was creamy, the eggplant had that nice smoky depth and the taramosalata was super interesting, very briny in the best "yes, this is definitely roe" kind of way. Only note is that the Horiatiko Psomi (house bread) could've been warm/toasted for my preference especially given the price of the dips, I expected the bread to be a little more elevated too Then we got the Lahanodolmades (cabbage stuffed with beef and pork, rice, mint, avgolemono). Well seasoned, the cabbage was tender without falling apart and that lemony avgolemono sauce tied everything together- it was bright and savory. For mains, we shared the Moschari me Damaskina (red wine-braised beef cheeks with prunes, trahanas) and Arni stin Souvla (slow-roasted lamb leg). The beef cheek was ridiculously tender- like barely touch it and it falls apart. Rich, slightly sweet from the prunes, with that warm spice note of the cinnamon that balanced the tomato acidity really nicely. The lamb was cooked well and definitely tasty but nothing super extravagant compared to other Greek lamb dishes I've had. Still really yummy especially with the onions and a squeeze of lemon cutting through the lamb. Portion-wise, the pricing felt a little high for what you get but the ambience is beautiful, definitely a great date night spot. Low lighting, cozy, feels elevated without being stuffy

I would recommend calling beforehand to ask about the wait. Although we commuted from Cambridge, this meal was worth it. For two people, we got: - Black Seed Cornbread: it's soft, sweet yet savory. I've never had cornbread like this, and the first bite into this was unforgettable. You must get this. - Honey Nut Hummus: this was honestly fine and I'd probably try a different dip next time. - Warm Gyro bread: well seasoned and great to share between two. I normally don't like gyro but I enjoyed this. - Lamb al pastor: this was a favorite. It was sweet and the lamb was tender. We were really impressed with the sauce. - Brussel sprout bravas: this was okay. I liked the crunchy nuts and the star of this dish was once again the sauce/seasoning rather than the brussel sprouts. With all of these dishes, we ordered enough for two, with a few bites leftover. If you have a smaller appetite, you could get away with ordering a plate less. Overall, I loved the dining experience here. Even though I'm not typically a small plates mediterranean person, I appreciated Sarma - from its beautiful interior space and open kitchen concept, to the liveliness of the restaurant on a random weekday night. Definitely come here if you're in the area (or even if you're not!)

The food was overly salty, and the portions were very small.... even for tapas style dining. The flavor profiles just weren't there. The only thing that I would say tasted good was the cornbread and lamb skewer (which was definitely overpriced still). The cornbread was impressive and the ingredients made for a unique flavor. Service was also underwhelming. While the staff did their job, there wasn't much warmth or attentiveness and we didn't feel welcomed. We left feeling pretty disappointed given the hype and effort it took to get a reservation.

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.

For my own birthday this year, I chose Oleana, supposedly one of Boston's best Mediterranean…read morerestaurants, and reservations are almost a month in advance. Overall, I was satisfied. Fatteh: The presentation was beautiful, with a delightful array of layers. Between two layers of crispy chips laid the chewy texture of fried mushrooms, the sweetness of cauliflower, the nutty aroma of pine nuts, and the refreshing sweet and sour taste of yogurt--a random combination that offered a different experience with every bite. The cauliflower, in particular, was crisp yet not tough, with a naturally gentle sweetness--a first for me. However, towards the end, the crispy chips became very slightly oily. Sultan's Delight: Perfect as a main course. The beef was stewed to perfection, incredibly tender and flavorful, almost falling apart the moment it touched the knife. It required absolutely no effort, reminiscent of a master butcher skillfully carving up an ox in Zhuangzi莊子, who kept his knife like new over nineteen years. The tamarind brought a slightly fermented, tangy aroma, while the smoked eggplant puree, likely babaganoush, was smooth and creamy with a mild, pleasant smokiness. The lemon juice, however, adds a refreshing touch, creating an interesting layering of acidity. It looked small, but it was surprisingly satisfying. The only downsides were the beef was slightly over-salty and the basil leaves, which seem to serve only a decorative purpose. Baked Alaska: A signature dessert, very popular on social media. Frankly, I came specifically for this, but after eating it, all I can say is, "Who's promoting this?"... The presentation was truly stunning, and the first few bites were quite good. The meringue was was torched to create a thin, burnt crust, resulting in a delicate and light texture, while the coconut ice cream blended with the bitter aroma of coffee. However, the base, a nut tart similar to a five-nut mooncake五仁月餅 filling, was too dense and heavy; the passion fruit syrup was excessively sweet and acidic, even a small amount was cloying, making it a torture by the end. The restaurant tables were a bit uneven and hopefully they will be repaired soon.
