Very competitive prices, excellent food and solid service. Inside was fairly nice, and we appreciated the robust AC on a hot summer afternoon. Only small disappointment was the bread: for some reason they didn't have the lavash they're named after, nor the fluffy white bread in the photos, just some standard pita bread which they did warm up on the grill before serving so it was decent and went well with their excellent baba ghanoush, hummus, etc. (their meze sampler has 5 different kinds) We also had their grill sampler which was also very good and all the meats were cooked tender including the lamb which was rare as requested---a lot of Mediterranean places overcook their meat, so we were very grateful for that! Even the chicken came out tender and moist, not dry and tasteless like at 90% of restaurants. Tried "Aryan" their yogurt drink, which is interestingly equal parts salty and sour, and quite filling---removed any desire for baklava on my part! Regretfully, they do not have the Turkish national drink, "Raki"---but they are probably keeping halal so no alcohol in the vicinity, alas. Parking was easy, a rarity in Cambridge. Wish they'd have some advertising or signage on the main roads because we never would've found out about this place if it weren't for a friend of mine mentioning that he once worked here. It's literally BEHIND the Whole Foods by Fresh Pond and around the corner from the Apple Cinema next door, so it will become a regular post-movie eating destination for us from now on! read more

Lavash Grille - Cambridge, MA Total Score: 9/10 Lavash Grille in Cambridge delivers a Turkish and Mediterranean dining experience that feels both vibrant and deeply comforting. This is the kind of place that works beautifully for group outings, thanks to the big, long tables that make it easy to settle in, share plates, and actually enjoy the social side of dining. The sampler platters and mixed grill dishes are absolutely the way to go. Portions are generous, the variety is excellent, and everything we tried tasted fresh and well balanced. The hummus and baba ganoush were both standouts, packed with flavor and a great start to the meal. One of the biggest highlights was the manti. These delicate, bite sized dumplings with yogurt sauce were pure comfort food and easily one of the most memorable dishes of the night. The haydari (similar to Tzatziki) was another favorite. Rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful, it's the kind of dip you keep reaching for long after you're full. For something a little different, the traditional Turkish coffee made with hot sand is such a fun experience and well worth ordering. Ending the meal with coffee and rice pudding felt like the perfect, cozy finish. On a practical note, I was genuinely happy there is some parking here, which is always a welcome bonus in Cambridge. Overall, Lavash Grille is a place I'd gladly return to. Great food, perfect for group settings, and an all around enjoyable dining experience. read more

It's not easy to find authentic Turkish food near Boston / Cambridge. Found this place on Instagram and am pleasantly surprised. They have a small parking lot off the side of the restaurant which is free. Inside, there is plenty of space. The service and staff are very nice. We got a lentil soup to share, manti and beef liver as appetizers. Everything tasted amazing. The manti could be a little softer. We also got coffee and tea. The tea was refilled throughout the time we were there which was a nice touch. For my main I got the chicken Adana and my friend got the lamb version. Both were grilled to perfection. Such simple ingredients but the meal was well balanced. The meat came with rice and some grilled/ pickled veggies. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is shared with the building and was out of toilet paper and was in bad condition. read more

One of the few places open on 4th of July if you are looking for something to eat like we were! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and the food here. The restaurant wasn't busy so we got to choose our seats. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was my first time having Turkish food and it was great. We for appetisers we ordered the Haydari, Yaprak Sarma "Grape Vine Leaves", Humus, Antep Ezme and the Tereyaglo Karides and the Mixed Grill platter for 3 of us to share and we were all stuffed by the end. Our server asked if we wanted dessert and even the thought of it made us feel fuller, but we all had a Turkish coffee which came with a Turkish delight which I thought was nice. read more

We came here as a group of friends and ordered the variety meat plate to share. The food itself was decent--some meats were flavorful, others a bit dry--but overall it was okay for the price. We sat outside, which we were initially excited about, but unfortunately, there was a noticeable smell coming from a nearby dumpster. That really took away from the experience. Service was another weak point. The waiter barely checked on us, so anytime we needed anything, we had to just sit and wait until she eventually came around. It felt like we were on her schedule, not the other way around. Not a terrible experience, but definitely room for improvement. read more

Turkish food was very authentic, even tea and coffee. The manti was especially good. Service by Zaynab was so thoughtful and attentive. We loved it. Ambience was OK. Only suggestion I would make is to hang some kilims (Turkish flatweaves) on the large gray wall and maybe some large pictures of Turkey. read more

Absolutely loved the food. The service was great and they helped us understand the menu items. The bread and hummus were complimentary and I felt like I should go there again just for the bread. The serving size was huge and we left fully stuffed. The lamb was amazing and very flavorful. 100% will be back here. read more

Food was very good . Salad was fresh prices were very reasonable . Free parking easy in and out

The lamb Adana was very tasty. However, I did not like the Manti (Turkish beef dumplings). The service is below ok. I tried to establish a conversation with the server, which seemed like he was the manager too, but he was not interested in providing any recommendations. He actually pushed an appetizer and that's when I got the dumplings. read more

The food was amazing Definitely get the cold and warm meze plates. You get to try a little of everything. The meat on the plates were so juicy and well seasoned. I can't wait to come back here again!!! read more

Was recommended this spot from a friend because she saw videos from IG. I have to say food was decent and definitely not a common cuisine in Boston. Passed by this rotary often but never noticed this spot. First impression is that this spot is BUSY and is compact with tables inches from each other. Not the spot for a quiet dinner but perfect for a spot for socializing. Parking was a little difficult as there are mostly reserved spots we couldn't find any other spots so we parked there (seems like that's what others do too) I would recommend getting their sampler plates to try out a bit of everything. read more

I am genuinely baffled at the overwhelmingly positive reviews below. I recall they had a promotion on social media offering folks a giftcard to dine in, I wonder if that influenced the reviews...? We ordered the mix grill, grilled chicken wings, eggplant & peppers appetizer, kofte kibbeh appetizer, & lentil soup Pros: - there are a few parking spots out front and a parking lot next-door - the red meat was cooked nicely, not overcooked & not salty - the kofte kibbeh was crunchy - the eggplant and peppers appetizer was the highlight of the meal. Very tasty! - the lentil soup bowl / portion was generous - complimentary refills on turkish tea Cons: - the chicken wings looked amazing on the outside but were under-cooked (bloody & that smooth rubbery texture raw chicken tends to have) on the inside. - They served rolls at the table instead of lavash. When we asked about it, they said lavash was only available upon request. Since it was our first time at the restaurant, we didn't know we had to request it explicitly. - The lavash we got was basically a white flour tortilla, we regretted asking for it. - The service was disappointing - when we pointed out the undercooked chicken to our server, she stared at us shocked like a deer in headlights. A man from the kitchen (presumably the chef) came out & his response was - verbatim - "that's the fatty part of the wing, you don't eat that anyway" When we explicitly said we'd like to send the wings back, he grabbed the plate rudely and walked away without saying another word. No apology. During the first half of the meal (appetizers), the servers were very attentive refilling water and tea. But as the meal went on, service was scarce. We had to manually wave our hands to get the servers' attention as both of them seemed to be in deep conversation with each other with their backs facing us. - All of the different meats & chicken in the mix grill tasted the same - The kofte kibbeh was bland, even with the tomato sauce - We sat inside and despite being the only party in the restaurant at the time we came in, we were placed at a table in front of the bathroom door - my chair (multicolored fabric) was so uncomfortable. The middle of the seat sags and I could feel the springs were on their last legs. I was shifting uncomfortably throughout the evening. Overall - especially with every review i read online & their stellar social media presence - this was a huge let down. read more

I visited on Friday around noon and had a great experience. We ordered the hot meze platter, which included falafel, sigara borek, icli kofte, manti, and enginar mucveri--all delicious. The standout was the manti (Turkish dumplings with beef filling)--the wrappers were just the right thickness, and the dumplings were bathed in a rich, garlicky yogurt sauce. Highly recommend! The platter also came with thick, pillowy pita bread reminiscent of focaccia. To drink, we had Turkish coffee, which was deep, bold, and served with a little Turkish delight. I also tried salgam for the first time. The server kindly warned me that it's not like juice, and they were right--it's more like pickle brine, salty and earthy with a bold, fermented flavor. For dessert, we ordered kadaif and baklava. The kadaif stood out--served warm, perfectly flaky, and just the right amount of sweetness. The baklava, however, was a bit dense and could have been flakier. Overall, the food was flavorful and well-prepared, and I'd definitely return for more tasty Turkish food! read more

The location of this place is rather hard to find but it's worth the find. Sharing a building with a rental car center and dance hall, Lavash is a hidden gem. The decor is warm and inviting, maybe not the most comfortable seats and tables, but they're fine. The kibbeh meze is good, with a crispy exterior and warm and soft ground lamb and bulger wheat interior. The marinara sauce side is curious but it works. The lamb shish entree is tremendous, with a diversity of color. It's quite a feast for the eyes and stomach. The lamb is grilled nicely though I wouldn't mind it being a little more rare. The rice with chickpeas with the bulgur wheat in tomato sauce is really filling. The salad is quite colorful and the components complement each other (carrots, red onion, pickled cabbage, etc.) I had some of the kofke too and enjoyed the grilled ground lamb. The Turkish tea was a wonderful ending to the dinner and is a relaxing drink to end the night. Service is friendly, but short-staffed. I think the restaurant anticipated that it was going to be fairly busy on Wednesday night. read more

Came here on a Friday at 6:30 and we were seated immediately. It was fairly quiet that evening. Service was prompt and we put in our order for baba ganoush, kibbeh, and the cig kofte for appetizers. They were all excellent! I ordered the karniyarik which was a special consisting of a baby eggplant stuffed with ground beef and covered in tomato sauce. Had great flavor! We've been here three or four times now in the last few months and can't recommend it enough! read more

The food was highly average and the service was horrible. Our server was very rude and refused to answer queries politely asked about the dishes. We had to wait 30 minutes to get our bill and they turned off the heat while we were still eating even though it was only 8pm and nowhere close to closing. We had to explicitly tell them to turn it back on. Definitely will not go back. read more

Lavash Grille is a cozy & comfortable Turkish restaurant with a fantastic menu. We sat down without a reservation pretty quickly on a saturday night around 8. The service was fast and efficient and all of our food came out nice hot. We shared the halloumi appetizer, the borek appetizer, and the mixed grill platter. The apps were delicious and all of the meat that came on the platter was super juicy and tender. The dish could have used a bit more rice for two people but overall it was fantastic. For dessert we had turkish coffees that came served with turkish delights, and an absolutely delicious Turkish dessert that was similar to flan and tasted like rice pudding. We will definitely be back! read more

Thus is the best Turkish food I have had in the Boston/Cambridge This restaurants offers the most authentic turkish food with a huge menu! When you step inside, there are tons of tables and when I got there around lunch time, it filled up quickly. We got the small meze appetizer plate along with some hot meze appetizers. The hummus was so fresh and all the food tasted handmade. The falafel? wow. We also got a huge meat tasting platter! Out of all the meats, the lamb chops were my favorite. I was expecting it to be a bit tough because most are, but the meat pulled apart so easily. Every meat was flavorful and authentic, especially the skewered meats! The restaurant also offers authentic Turkish coffee, made in sand!! This is the original way coffee was made in Turkey and the owner, Mesut, takes pride in being able to use it here. They also have a pre-fixe breakfast menu every day so check them out at ANY time of the day!!! read more

Cute restaurant hidden behind Whole Foods near alewife! My friend and I stopped in for lunch and had a good time here. I got the Turkish coffee, and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a tiny cup with strong but delicious coffee and a small piece of dessert! We talked to the server for recommendations, and we ordered a meze plate and a salad to share. It was plenty of food, surprisingly. The salad was alright, but a little overpriced for what it was. The sampler was a great way to try a variety of items, especially for being the two of us it was a great selection. The food came out quick and hot. I really enjoyed the artichoke pancake (I think it was artichoke) and all of the sauces it came with. Overall, the restaurant is nice and has a great selection of food! read more

Superb - Ezo gelin, antep ezme, yoğurtlu kebab, and kazandibi were all fantastic. They'll make iskender kebab on request (also fantastic).

The location is interesting, the parking seems limited. But usually when it's like that you know the place is good. The restaurant is very homey, has a traditional feel. You could tell by the furniture, the food was going to be flavorful (if you know you know). I got the warm platter, my only criticism is there was WAY tooooooo much yogurt. It make a lot of my items soggy, and over powered the flavor of each individual dish. They were drenched in it. My pals got the liver- she said it was delicious, well seasoned, tender. My other pal got the lamb, it was MMM MM MM. Clearly this restaurant can cook the heck out of some meat. Another interesting thing is it's called a bar and grille, but of course they don't serve drinks a bar would. That is a bit confusing. But i figured as much. Still- it was very good. The server was prompt. I would recommend. read more

We got the cold mezze platter (came with pita), warm mezze platter, and beef shish. Both mezze platters were extremely delicious and excellent deals! My favorites were the cold mezze stewed eggplant and the warm mezze manti. The manti in particular feel like a labor of love because each little dumpling is so small and fussy that the amount in the mezze sampler was still at least 2 dozen tiny dumplings that had to be folded. Each platter was full of a wide range of different flavors and textures. In particular, I think that the cold mezze would be an incredible pick for a vegetarian meal. The beef shish was absolutely delicious, but felt like less of a steal because there wasn't a ton of meat... But I understand that beef prices are currently at an all time high. Not upset at all about it. We also had kunefe which was very good and deserves to be an Instagram star with crispy phyllo and a cheese pull. You really wouldn't expect sweet cheese to work so well, but it does. The Turkish coffee was also excellent. The only cons were that the restaurant was so empty that it felt awkward (probably due to the bad location and weekday evening). If you can get over the first impressions, you're in for a great meal. I rarely write reviews, but I want this place to thrive because I want to eat more mezze in the future and and I'm excited to try their breakfast deal. read more

Really really good Turkish food!! I never hear people talking about this place but it is so cozy inside and the food is delish. We tried a bunch of the mezze and the yogurtlu kebab which we loved. The haydari dip was one of my favorite things we tried, but the falafel was also really good. Only complaint was the sigara borek wasn't quite as crispy as I would have liked, but they were plated on top of some sauce so I think that's why they weren't super crisp. The service was good and the staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations! read more

We were very excited to try Lavash as the food and menu looked delicious. First off, parking was very difficult, as there were only about 4 spots outside and the nearest public lot is all the way down the road at the mall, which would have been fine had it not been freezing rain that night. When we got in there, it took a minute to be acknowledged which we attributed to it being pretty packed. Once we were seated, it took a long time for our orders to be taken and none of the servers had even a hint of a smile. It honestly felt very uncomfortable in there, as if we were a huge inconvenience--our friends went again a few days later and said the same thing happened. The three stars are all for the food--the portions were large and flavor was good. So honestly, if you're looking to satisfy a craving, get takeout and skip the attitude. read more

No lavash at a restaurant called Lavash? Very odd, but the only bread they have is a plain white, flavorless bread with some black sesame seeds on top. One of the main reasons I went there was because I love lavash--the thin, soft, handmade flatbread that is such a core part of Middle Eastern cuisine. They don't even have pita bread, not even the pita chips that are advertised on the menu as coming with the hummus. So the only bread you can use to scoop up the falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush etc. (which are all fantastic!) is a plain, dry white bread. It has no flavor and does not do any of their dishes justice. Please make the actual product your otherwise great restaurant is named for--LAVASH--and the pita you advertise on your menu too! read more

We decided to give Lavash Bar and Grill a try yesterday. Parking was not a problem and there is open lot to park in. We were greeted by a man who seated us and got us the menu. But that was it , between that time and time we left we did not hear single word from the servers who we realized didn't speak English or took our order nor from the gentleman apart from taking our order or asking how food was or nothing. CS was very very lacking Another thing for lack of a star is we been to lots n lots of turkish and middle eatern place and most of them have their own signature hot suaces but this place uses a bottled louisiana tabasco sauce. I mean really ... Cmon on man. The bread also was pretty much a ready pita bread warmed and sliced. Most places bake their own bread so that was a bummer The food was good and it was on par with other Turkish place so def no complains there. We got Shepard's salad, cold mezee platter, Chicken Adana kebab plate, Turkish tea, Turkish coffee , Kunefe and falafels. Chicken Adana were specially good with seasoning compared to other items where seasoning was lacking a bit. Chicken was moist and soft and had nice spices in it. Rice were cooked perfectly and those were very nice They had wine i guess but we were never given menu for it so unfortunately we didn't know they had and i suppose they lost out on that revenue. Overall if you live in the area it is a good place but customer service needs to be picked up and def needs an authentic house hot sauce and not Louisiana tabasco sauce. I am not sure this would for us be a visit again place unfortunately. read more
