    Food: Chicken Kabob Skewer

I ordered takeout from Fattoush. The chicken kabob was excellent, well seasoned, and juicy. I'd recommend that dish the most. The staff were very kind too. I was surprised by some of the portion sizes. I ordered a tabbouleh ($8 according to the website) and they provided a small tub of salad that was seemingly half empty. FYI there is no seating inside, but it seems like there is outdoor seating in the summer.

Had the lamb and beef shawarma wrap again, and it was even better than the first time! The meat was nice and hot, and the flavors really popped. The gentleman who rang me up (maybe the owner?) gave me a side of turnip pickles that were different than the ones in the wrap and said it would add a different flavor and goes well with the garlic paste I added. He was definitely right, and I was a big fan of the flavor, texture, and color of the magenta turnip pickles. Will add turnip pickles in the future when I return!

Some of the best mediterranean food I've ever had! The workers were very nice and accommodating to our requests. We wanted the falafel plate but with rice pilaf instead of one of the items and they did it no issue. The falafel is THE BEST falafel I've ever had, and I've had a lot of falafel. The rice pilaf was buttery and delicious. The hummus was also really good. They serve it with pickles and pickled turnips that were also very good. It comes with tahini and pita bread. We also ordered a side of homemade pita chips. Tons of food for the price. There is not much seating, but they provided us with plates and plastic utensils. Wish I had this place at home and would definitely come back!

I went to Fattoush located on 142 Massachusetts Ave, #ArlingtonMA This takeout spot features Mediterranean and vegan eats, including falafel, shawarma and babaganoush. For appetizers we had the Mouhamara dip with homemade pita chips. The Mouhamara contains aleppo pepper, walnuts, bread crumbs, lemon and an assortment of spices. We also have Tolma (Grape leaves) which had lemon juice, rice and onions. For entrees we had the chicken shawarma plate. This contained chicken on rice pilaf, side salad and hummus. We also had Lahmajun or "Armenian pizza" which is a #flatbread topped with minced vegetables and herbs including onions, garlic, tomatoes, #redpeppers, and parsley, flavored with spices such as chili pepper and paprika, then baked (my personal favorite!). Finally, we had Sujuk or Armenian sausage sandwich which is made with beef, lots of garlic and a mix of aromatic spices This place has great to go options for dips and/or desserts including baklava. I highly recommend checking out this spot if you are a lover of Lebanese Armenian and other Mediterranean eats. Affordability: 8/10 Food: 8/10

Manqoushi Cheese, Ground Beef and Lamb Kabob Kofta, Beef and Lamb Shawarma Platter

Visited on 8/13/22 for takeout and ordered 2 platters and an appetizer for $46.51 after tax. This was enough food to feed 2 reasonably hungry people and 1 not that hungry person - I think it would have been a bit too much food for 2 regularly hungry people but not quite enough for 3. The Manqoushi cheese was served exactly like a quesadilla (which is kind of what it is), the cheese had tons of aromatics, really nicely spiced! The platters here are really interesting (in a good way) - lots of different flavors in each one. You get a small alad with a tahini dressing, some hummus, and a protein on rice. Highly recommend sharing platters unless you're really hungry, it's a lot of food! Great flavors - tons of spices, but none overwhelming the others. At $20 ea, the platters still do feel a little pricy for just chicken or beef or sausage, even though they're an above average amount of food. They also are kind of similar (only switching up the protein between the different platters), so keep this in mind if you're sharing food. That being said, the actual food itself is quite good, and I'd like to come back and try some other things (pitas, falafel, dips, salads) now that I know that.

We were greeted by the owner and made to feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. This time, as usual, we started with the red lentil soup and hummus. Both delicious and the hummus as smooth as silk and not over-loaded with tahini. We tried the fried calamari for the first time, and I wouldn't order that again; I think it's a frozen product they simply reheat; the sauce that came with it was good and the calamari tasty, but not what you're looking for if you want calamari. Our choice of entree is usually get the Fainting Imam, stuffed eggplant with vegetables, pine nuts and raisins, and it is heavenly, but this time I decided to experiment and ordered the Vegetable Mousakka With Béchamel Sauce. I was a little disappointed in the dish; it was made up of a variety of vegetables, sliced thin and layered. There was a piece of fried potato I couldn't cut through; it was really crunchy-hard. I ate it; it was good, but too done. What disappointed me was the absence of Bechamel sauce; it may have been there, but if it was, I couldn't taste or see it. Maybe a foam??? That was one of my reasons for trying the dish; I expected more of a Pastitsio-like layer of Bechamel or at least something I could discern in the dish. The Shepphard salad did not come with my entree (I don't know why? It comes with the Imam?), but I had to order it; it is out of this world. Simple and delicious. Particularly appealing to me is that they do not include large pieces of green pepper in the salad; there were a few bits, but not overwhelming. Next time, I might just get that salad, the soup and some hummus!!! I may have whined a little here, but don't let anything I said keep you away from Pasha. The owner, the staff and the food are wonderful.

I placed our order on their website, and we headed over to pick up. Parking is tricky, but not as difficult as in Davis Square. It looked like there were a few small tables inside the tiny restaurant. It seems like they do a solid take-out business based on the number of people picking up brown paper bags at the same time as us. My son fully enjoyed his chicken shawarma sandwich with tahini, and I got the combo kebab dinner plate. I subbed fattoush for the salad, and I got all three sauces. The fattoush pita was fried (nice crunch, but greasy), and it was not heavily spiced, so not the best I've ever had, but not terrible. I did not care for the garlic sauce; the tahini sauce was basic, but the babaganoush had an incredible smokiness to it. Both the chicken and beef kabobs were juicy and flavorful, but I did not love the lale kebab. The prices were great, and I was able to get two meals out of my dinner plate. I will definitely be visiting again soon!

Can't believe I've been living in the area for over a decade and never thought to check it out…read more Ironically, I only discovered this place because I had to park nearby and walk nearly 3 blocks to the Mediterranean Grill which proved to be an underwhelming experience, but noticed this place due to the "Zagat rated" sign in the window which piqued my interest. Well, sometimes the best things happen by pure chance...and thus I came back to try out this place a couple weeks later, and found it to be far and away the best Greek/Mediterranean food I've ever had in the entire greater Boston area! It's easy to see why this place is Zagat rated. Easily beats out bigger, trendier and fancier-looking, much pricier "Greek" places such as Zo Greek in Somerville's Assembly Square (review upcoming) as well as the more downmarket hole in the wall places like Falafel King. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Loved the Sampler Plate for two, everything on it was absolutely scrumptious and next time I might order one just for myself so I don't need to share it with anyone else, hahaha...really brings out your inner greedy-S.O.B.! Also loved that their fresh-cut french fries are actually pan-fried, not deep fried...first time I've ever encountered that anywhere in this city, and they were also crazy good...instead of just tasting the oil as happens with deep-frying (especially if they are frozen fries with that yucky mushy cardboard texture) you actually get the full flavor of the (gasp!) POTATOES, and do not need to drown them in ketchup or salt the living daylights out of them. Truly a "homemade" experience! We tried both the "Greek" fries and the regular fries, both were rave-worthy...and this is from someone who normally avoids fries in restaurants because they are usually made from tasteless frozen potatoes. Lamb kebab and moussaka were also excellent, as was the baklava and galaktoboureko. Baklava outside of the Mediterranean and Middle East tends to be very mediocre and overly sweet...not here! Lastly, it's a beautiful and charming spot. It doesn't make any attempt to be trendy or gimmicky. Just has a warm friendly ambiance, which also describes the service. Can't recommend this place enough...will definitely be one of my regular go-to places!

The places he used to go are gone, some replaced by local chains, casual in line with national chains. I wasn't interested in that sanitized version of Greek food that I knew it's lack authenticity. I did lots of research looking for a family owned restaurant (Yelp wasn't helpful at all). Found the Greek Corner in an article about best Greek restaurants in Boston, after looking into the menu and address, I realized that it was close to our accommodation, a few minutes of walking away! Greek Corner it was meant to be! We dined there after our first full day in Boston, after long hours of walking, working and sightseeing. The restaurant was cozy, nice decor, with a few regular customers. We were greeted right away, asked to sit where we wanted, so we picked a table by the window. Got water from the house right away. Customer service is attentive, not hovering, just right. We order portions of gyros and souvlaki, they both come with salads and fries or rice. Avery, our waiter substituted for free for us regular fries with Greek fries (they come with cheese, sprinkled with oregano), and we thought that was so nice and welcoming! Food was great, classic, traditional in the good way, the meat is tender, flavorful, the salads are fresh, the feta cheese is outstanding. The gyro plate coms with pita bread. We got Mythos beer to go with the food, not amazing, had it before in Greek restaurants but why go with anything that's not Greek? For dessert, we shared a Galaktoboureko, a cheese/vanilla custard pie in phyllo dough with cinnamon sprinkled on top, it melts in your mouth! Perfect place to chill and decompress after a long day, relaxing, great service, good food! We also came back here during our last full day in Boston. It was a change of plans. This year, we seem to go on a new personal trend while travelling - we love a restaurant and keep going back LOL! It was a rainy day, we were tired and wanted to stay away from tourist traps so coming back to a nice neighborhood spot where you know what you'll get it was comforting. We were recognized by the staff right away, picked the same time and ordered Greek red wine - Vin de Crete (just OK) and I got a Moussaka, a nice hot dish, loved the potatoes and eggplant, a classic dish, I chose rice pilaf this time around. My husband went for the Pastitso, perfect for a cooler day. He also got rice pilaf and the dish was perfect. They both come with the Greek salads which we loved! For dessert, we went classic again, shared a portion of Baklava (my husband had his eyes set on in from our previous time), and it didn't disappoint! Prices are reasonable here, service is nice, we loved having Avery taking care of us, nice to chat with, very fun and kind. It really feels like a cozy neighborhood spot where you are taken care of! I wish I could still walk to it! Can I have it bought to LA, please? Great Greek restaurant in Cambridge! Loved everything about it!

Balanced with two types of cheese with a light airy texture to it kept it from feeling too dense. The pita its on is crunchy and thin, and theres a drizzle of sauce, likely some form of pesto, that cuts the flavor making it a truly enjoyable dish. We also ordered the chicken kebabs and roasted jerk chicken. The kebabs were a great portion with tender chicken, some greens, and grains. I personally could have used more tzakai, but thats a personal preference. Overall though, the meal did not feel heavy and I left feeling full but not overtly stuffed which I was happy with. My husband's jerk chicken was a sizable dish. The chicken was tender and fell right off the bone, and the pilaf had a nice flavor to it. Overall we really enjoyed our meals.
