Triple mix platter
Joy G.

A beloved neighborhood institution and some of the best Turkish food in Boston. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's one of those restaurants that's smaller than it looks from the outside, so if you're coming on a weekend evening, come early or be prepared to wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We managed to snag one of the last two-tops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though it got full, I never had to yell or strain to hear my friend, a blessing for my ears.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried: 1. The 3-mezze sampler, with the baba ganoush, cretan mash (a blend of broad beans, garlic, olive oil, lemon, all the good stuff), and the yogurt dip. My favorites were the smoked eggplant and cretan mash. The yogurt dip paired perfectly with the meat platter we ordered. Pita bread on the side was also delicious and fluffy. Definitely brought me back to Istanbul. 2. Falafel plate, with hummus and tahini sauce. The falafel was fried expertly, not drenched in oil. It's 3 pieces to an order for almost $10 - the only thing we ordered that I thought was a tad steep for the price. 3. Triple mix grill, with lamb, chicken, and adana (ground beef and lamb) shish kabobs. We wanted to sample all of the different meats; my favorite was the chicken - perfectly tender, so well seasoned, incredible. The platter came with two grilled peppers, two grilled tomatoes, a pile of pita pieces soaked in the sauces, and a bowl of rice. I'd say it's perfect for one person for their entree or for two people if you also order some mezzes/salad. Also got the cold milky baklava as a dessert - I only wish I was less full to enjoy it. Chocolate pistachio baklava topped with a milky syrup, need I say more? Service was super friendly. Another table was waiting for ours as we were finishing up and the hostess moved us over to the bar area and gave us some complimentary Turkish tea. Free, abundant parking in the back, so you don't need to scrounge for street parking. I'll be back!

I am a fan of this restaurant. I have been there a few times and every time the experience has been great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience and the service are good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am big fan of their halva and coffee. They give you complimentary bread, salad, and other fun dipping sauces. I loved their kebabs. The meat was all perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I was a fan of the liver kebabs and would go back just for them. All in all, don't sleep on this restaurant. Give them a visit.

The food is incredible! I would give them 6 stars if I could! After driving past this restaurant a gazillion times, I said, " You know we have to try that restaurant out" and finally we did and at a very busy time around seven . [[HIGHLIGHT]]They didn't have any tables available as this restaurant is small and came at peak hour but we managed to get a couple seats at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the best baba ghanoush, the lamb, Adana, and chicken kebab..,it was delicious!!!!!! The salad was delicious too! And the pistachio dessert was divine with goat ice cream! The main thing is it was fresh! There were also a lot of takeout orders so I think this restaurant is a no-brainer for me. If I need to entertain people, I will probably order a bunch of kebabs from them and know the quality would be fabulous be[[HIGHLIGHT]]cause it's small, it was a little hectic when I was there since food was being passed along the table with an empty stool next[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] to me at the bar. But I g[[HIGHLIGHT]]et it. It's busy! I would like to come in when it's a little quieter maybe around five I have a more calming [[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]dining experience!

A location in an quiet residential part of Watertown? Now, it's really just a take-out/delivery spot. The restaurant is located in the back of the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center, where they have an industrial kitchen. There is limited signage. Basically, you go to the back of the building, where it is unfinished and basically a dirt plot. The backdoor is open where you can pick up your order if you elect to do takeout. I only saw one person working (a nice middle-aged lady). Unfortunately, some delivery person took my order so I had to wait around for the restaurant to fulfill the order. Otherwise, the food was terrific. The braised beef wrap was fresh and flavorful. The fattoush and Armenian salads were very fresh and were great accompaniments. In their hurry to fulfill the order, the restaurant missed one of the wraps. But they offered to refund us for the missing wrap, so it was fine. If you are hankering for some Anoush'ella, but are in the suburbs, you now don't have to go into Boston or Cambridge anymore. Just go to a non-descript back of a cultural center (or better, just get it delivered).

Just moved and picky about middle eastern food and this hit all the right spots. - chicken dinner plate came with an excellent (already eaten) salad, fresh fries, and very good baba ganoush. Salad had lots of fresh veggies including peppers and cucumber and tomato along with plenty of whole fresh mint leaves- loved it. Chicken was super fresh and crispy yet not overcooked. - wrap was HUGE! Excellent value for $14- for a normal person could def be 2 meals or a very hungry 1 meal Staff was kind and cool, music was great, and super clean. Would recommend!

We…read moresearched for some Mediterranean spots near us in Arlington, and the closest one we hadn't tried yet was Noor, which is just outside of Davis Square. I placed our order on their website, and we headed over to pick up. Parking is tricky, but not as difficult as in Davis Square. It looked like there were a few small tables inside the tiny restaurant. It seems like they do a solid take-out business based on the number of people picking up brown paper bags at the same time as us. My son fully enjoyed his chicken shawarma sandwich with tahini, and I got the combo kebab dinner plate. I subbed fattoush for the salad, and I got all three sauces. The fattoush pita was fried (nice crunch, but greasy), and it was not heavily spiced, so not the best I've ever had, but not terrible. I did not care for the garlic sauce; the tahini sauce was basic, but the babaganoush had an incredible smokiness to it. Both the chicken and beef kabobs were juicy and flavorful, but I did not love the lale kebab. The prices were great, and I was able to get two meals out of my dinner plate. I will definitely be visiting again soon!
