Not bad very afforadable for first time customers as you get 25% off. The food could use a little salt but otherwise not horrible. (Also If you LOVE meat they do not hold back on those portions)

Food is very good and a reasonable price. Very clean place, good lighting. The food came out quick.

Great spot! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the staff were super friendly. I'll definitely be coming back.

    The Supernova Shrimp Curry

The bowls just packed with flavor! I got both the black pepper pork bowl and their special supernova shrimp curry bowl and loved both to death! The shrimp curry isn't too spicy and the shrimp is cooked perfectly as well as the Nicely seasoned rice! And they did the black pepper pork so well done and both bowls had very delicious veggies. Would 100% recommend the people of Boston that hasn't tried it yet to try it!

Overall: 4.5/5 We visited on a Saturday 5pm and were quickly greeted by lovely staff. I came as part of the Yelp Elite deal. Service: 5/5 Food: - Beef Rendang (4/5): as an Indonesian, I have high standards for this classic dish. Flavor Boom did an excellent job melding the savory flavors, complemented by the soft sweet potato bites. I only wish the dish had a bit more five spice seasoning and pepper. the yellow chili sauce was a great addition. - Tiramisu (4/5): delicious, medium is perfectly sized; wished for a bit more depth of flavor, but this is from a self-proclaimed tiramisu snob

Absolutely amazing restaurant! I first came here for a Yelp event, but I loved it so much that 3 days later, I came back! This is a fast-casual restaurant specializing in slow cooked dishes from Europe and Asia. I've tried lots of things here, and my favorite is the Beef Rendang. It's an incredibly complex, flavorful slow cooked beef stew from Indonesia, and I'd recommend this one if it's your first time here. I got the Burgundy braised beef this time, a savory and tender beef and carrot stew. The carrots and tomatoes in the dish give the beef a hint of sweetness, and I couldn't stop eating it. There's a lot of options on the menu, from spicy dishes to completely mild ones, there's beef, pork, seafood, vegetarian... definitely check this place out- there will be something for everyone!

I usually get the burgundy braised beef but this time I got the tamarind chicken which left A LOT to be desired. It was very dry with no sauce like the picture appeared to have. There was overall no real flavor as well.

nice little spot in jamaica plain. you would need to find street parking. when you walk in it is nice and cozy. you order on the tablet and the order come out quickly. i believe i got the boomin' beef and it taste similar to a vietnamese dish called "bo kho" the beef is bit salty for me and perhaps too much flavor boom. the veggies are a nice balance. i wish they had more cool drink options to offset the overpowering taste. i recalled they just had basic soda instead of specialty drinks overall worth stopping by if you are in the area. staffs were nice but i would not go out of the way for this place depending on where you are coming from

I ordered the vegetable stew and it was phenomenal. I could not believe the mix of flavors I was experiencing, but do yourself a flavour (sorry I had to do it) and get this dish. Parking can be found on the street (may need to walk a little) or there is a lot in the back. You'll order through an iPad and it does not take long at all to receive your order. You can also order ahead and pick your order up.

I came here for a Yelp event and enjoyed it more than I thought. It is a fast casual joint, where things are cooking in the slow cooker so everything was ready to go when I ordered (a major bonus for me!) There were a few tables and some bar stools to sit at and bring your food over to. The location is prime (right off center street) and there is the big parking lot right behind it. I was a little skeptical since it was Asian fusion (is it too many things to be good?) but the options were straight forward and simple. They had vegetarian and vegan options, always a plus! Finally the prices were very reasonable -10-12 for most dishes so a great option for quick easy meals.

A small shop on Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. It was easy for me to find a parking spot on a Thursday night. I was the only one in the restaurant & waited for an employee to return to the counter. I didn't know what to order & he helped me decide what to order. I decided to order the burgundy braised beef. It was so much food, I had leftovers for the next day. The beef was delicious and was equally distributed with the rice

There was a great singer, pianist, and sax player to really set the mood. They were super fun, especially when a couple got engaged! To start, I got their ginger martini and while my friend went with a Do-er neat (not a whiskey drinker myself, lol). He tried to order 2 of their beers but they were out of both. My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.

Staff was very knowledgeable about each entree, and provided information about how entrees were cooked and served. They also had a "halvsies" menu of half-size portions (ideal portions for one or two diners). Started with the Mama Chang Pork Dumplings, which were excellent, and the cauliflower appetizer (a little spicy, but very good). Liked the udon noodles with chicken and bok choy, although a little less red chili pepper would have suited my tastes better (good for those who like a bit of zing to their food). The lettuce wrap chicken was well worth the 20-minute wait. Finished with the lemon ginger mousse, which was very light. The fortune cookie on the mousse was fresh and crisp, so good that some thought it might have been baked at Joanne Chang's Flour Cafe and Bakery. The finish was extra nice, with a red lucky envelope with chocolates accompanying the check, an orange at each table (signs for good fortune in the New Year), and red decorations hanging in the restaurant to create a festive setting. The interior is very cool, cozy, and the cool red paint design on the glass windows makes it all feel very charming and comfortable. We did have a bit of a wait for our table despite having reservations. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share between the 4 of us - scallion pancake, bourbon chicken wings, spicy salmon rolls, pork belly buns, sliced beef, eggplant, hot n sour soup, golden potato and lemongrass soup. I think my favorite of those was the eggplant dish - perfectly cooked and flavorful with ginger and soy. Wings were good too. The soups were nice I liked the hot n sour one. The lemongrass soup was a creamy one quite tasty but also quite filling and rich. For entrees, we ordered the roasted soy glazed salmon, the Indonesian fried rice, bok choy and surf and turf noodles. Everything was good. We were all so full and also had leftovers. But decided to order dessert too - everyone loved the vanilla bean ice cream (the menu described it as a parfait) with orange granita - really generous too - 3 scoops of ice cream and the orange sorbet which was more granular than a sorbet more like very finely crushed ice. Very refreshing! The banana caramel crème brûlée was really good too - nice and creamy. The lemon ginger mousse was very creamy but I thought had a bit too much of ginger. I think the deserts were hands down everyone's favorite part of the meal despite everyone pretty much denying they wanted any! Service was very friendly by our server Julie who was delightful! Lovely young lady. Overall great experience!!

When we walked into Legal, the place was dead, the music was awful, and the vibe was just not there. Shojo in Chinatown came up with great reviews and after looking at the menu and seeing that we could get a reservation, we headed over. It was a short walk from the Ritz and Chinatown is just such a fun place with great energy. When we walked in, we knew we had made the right call and were easily able to switch our reservation from a table to bar seats, which is always an added bonus. The place is low lit and the music is on the louder side, but nothing was excessive to the point that we didn't enjoy our time there. We ordered a variety of drinks while there - a Toki Highball draft, a spicy tequila drink with lemongrass, a few different types of Japanese whiskeys as well (they have a really extensive list). As far as food goes, they categorize their menu into Snacks, Baos, and Rice, Noodles, and Dumplings. There's a lot of vegetarian friendly options, which is always a plus for me. My highlights were the 7 vegetable stir fry, fried eggplant bao, edamame dumplings, and the Thai veggie spring rolls. The salt and pepper calamari was also really great. Everything was terrific and really unique. Service was good - not great, but they took notice of empty glasses and were quick to bring out food, so I have absolutely no complaints. I got the crab wontons, their take on crab rangoons, as well as three different rolls (yes my eyes are bigger than my stomach). I went with the eel avocado roll as well as the spicy tuna and yellowtail rolls. I was REALLY impressed by the quality of all the food. I was given the wontons first and they were perfectly crispy and filled. I dislike when the ratio of filling to wonton is too heavy on the filling side and things get messy. They were also SUPER hot which is a personal must. My only qualm is I would've loved a bit more sauce, there were a lot of wontons for that small dish of sweet chili sauce. In terms of the sushi I surprisingly loved the spicy yellowtail the best. Normally the other 2 are my favorite but I might've found a new go-to. The others were great as well, though. You could seriously tell the tuna was JUST cut from the fish (I watched the sushi chef do so!). Notably, the ratio on the eel-avocado roll was great as well as the amount of eel sauce. No need to pay for extra on the side! I will most definitely be ordering or dining in from here soon, this time bringing friends along!
