    Spinach Pie

We came to Brilla after attending a silent retreat for several days. We did the typical Yelp search because we weren't familiar with the area. Brilla had one of the highest reviews and was pretty close to our retreat. This coffee shop was very spacious and looked like it could seat more than 40 people which is great if you want to have a bite and chat, but probably not a good thing if you plan on working remotely. I also thought it was a great idea to have a drive thru like other major coffee shops (Dunkin, Starbucks, etc). I ordered an iced pistachio, dark chocolate latte and a spinach pie. I was a little disappointed that the drinks were just decent. I think the other reviews had me thinking this place was spectacular and it just wasn't for me. The flavor tasted a little too artificial and I prioritize more natural flavors than something sweet/syrupy. The spinach pie was good. It was flaky, cheesy and somewhat flavorful. The staff were professional and made our order pretty quickly. This spot will do the job for a cup of coffee and a quick bite, but this place doesn't seem like it has anything really craveworthy. Give it a try and let me know what you think. -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Food: - I ordered the iced caramel latte with oat milk and it was good but just a tad bit diluted for my taste. But my husband ordered the iced pistachio mocha latte and it was really good! - we also tried the spinach cheese pastry and that was tasty as well Service: The staff were nice and we got our orders rather quickly. Ambiance: I really love what they did with the space. There's a lot of tables and chairs but decorated in a way that is very inviting. Makes you want to bring your laptop and be there for a while or catch up with friends there. There's also ample parking in their lot and a drive thru.

Coffee was ok. Nothing to really rave home about. A little overpriced in my opinion. We went to the one in Natick mall.

Had heard amazing things about this place, so took a detour off the highway to give it a try! Coffee was excellent and the price is worth it being able to tell you're getting a fresh product. I was surprised they didn't have a loyalty/rewards program

Strawberry banana smoothie (medium) and hot chocolate ( small)

Found this coffee shop through a Google search & I gotta say it definitely lived up to my expectations. Loved the name, loved the Christmas decor and the coffee themed interior, friendly staff and fun, unique flavored brews both in house & take home brews. Just a local coffee shop that also welcomes pets :) It has a simple but unique selection of coffee, smoothies, drinks & food. I got the strawberry banana smoothie and my friend got hot chocolate. A bit expensive but also reasonably priced for the atmosphere. A small wait because we went around lunch time- about 10 or 15 minutes mainly because we got food too but nothing crazy. Definitely recommend to check this place out.

The most delectable caramel latte I think I've ever had from a drive-through and a delicious bagel

Wonderful wonderful strong and deliciously bold flavorful Espresso!!! Drinks are all lovely and most of the baked goods I've had are equally as nice to treat yourself to. They have a drive through that is perfect for the snowy and cold weather and it's really quick ! Sweet and expeditious service here that I can absolutely appreciate in a hurry.

Great move on their part to their new location. Brilla's new location in Holden is just a few minutes more up the street. My wife and I love their coffee here. My favorite bean in Central MA. It's very cultured--and they roast Nicaraguan beans. I drink my coffees black and you can truly taste the smooth and richness of the coffee. They also offer nitro cold brew now as the previous location down the street did not. They have a display and sell their own coffee beans you can buy and plenty of seating and high chairs now. Bathrooms I noticed were also pretty clean with changing stations--even in the men's bathroom. New location has plenty of parking now and even has a drive thru for those on the run. I have not used the drive thru yet but service going in is fairly quick too. There is construction on the roads here as I write this so you might have to take a small detour during the day. Don't let this discourage your visit checking out Brilla's new shop. Cheers

The service is very poor. The woman at the register did not understand English well. I had to repeat my order three times then when I got my order, it was missing my spinach croissant. When they finally gave the croissant to me, it was cold.

    Love the new location!

Love this new location! I loved the old location too, but they definitely did a good job expanding here in Holden. Definitely will be here a lot! Ordered a pound of coffee: $12 Peanut butter frappe: $4 Nitro Cold brew: $5 Not bad! Love the ambiance, people are great, good prices!

Nitro when you ask for no ice, the way it's supposed to be served
    N V.

First they serve the cold brew with ice, then when they are told that it's supposed be served without, you get a half-sized mini nitro that tastes like burnt ash. Picture is before the first sip. The sitting area is nice, but the coffee is not quality. This place is not recommended.

Coffee was not good. Typically drink coffee black, so it's important to be really great beans, this missed the mark.

Their coffee remains consistent and they brew the best bean in town. Truly a hidden gem...literally. They're hidden in the back of Rotmans (old furniture store) and you'll never see it from the main road. I drink coffee on a regular basis and could probably consider myself an amateur coffee snob lol. Lately I have made a purchase for teas and my wife didn't like the selections I've chose so they were welcoming and honored an exchange. I just had to pay the difference which I was glad to. We had good company with us and so there's also ample seating in the next room--you can enter from the front of the building as you enter through the main entrance or go through the back. Cheers

I stopped by to get a couple of coffees to go, and a pastry. The staff was very patient and pleasant to chat with - something I really miss with the larger coffee chains. The coffees were made exactly as I requested, and the pastry was warmed up and wrapped in a foil to maintain the heat. I really love the attention to detail. I'll note that I noticed they use Monin brand syrups (my favorite!). They are not the cheapest option, so it goes to show that the folks at Acoustic Java care about quality over maximizing profit. The location is great - a bit hidden, but the industrial vibe just fits for a small roasting company. I love that the roastery is visible through the glass panels. The packaged beans are all laid out for you to easily read the labels and shop. I love that they carry quality tea for non-coffee drinkers/tea lovers. The merch is also cute, I was very tempted to add yet another coffee shop tote bag to my hoard. They carry a huge variety of used and new books - and they offer the most unique pricing I've ever seen. You can look up the cost of the book online - so long as the condition is roughly the same, that's how much they will charge you for the book (+ tax)! That's amazing, and I don't know how they can possibly even make money with this policy, but with the giant chain and online retailers, it's really the best incentive to get folks to support local. I think one of the biggest highlights here, on top of the great coffee, ambiance, and service, is that they offer various tastings, classes, and live music events. Personally, I feel like this is key in building a community, and I love that they do this. You can look up the different events on their website, some of which are free to attend. I can definitely see this as a place to come read a book over some tea, catch up with a friend over coffee, or take a date to a barista class for a unique experience.

Innovative, but dry and rubbery. Good coffee and good atmosphere, but a mixed bag on the morning treats, with some hits and misses.
