Today's visit was not pleasant, i noticed people that came in after me received their food before me. I requested a spinach and Feta pastry. I received my coffee but not the food item yet I saw the gentleman behind the counter call everyone else besides me. I had to ask for my pastry; place was not busy so not sure what happened here. I just feel the gentleman at the front counter purposely did not want pass me my pastry but yet did it for others. I also notice no good morning but yet other people were greeted. read more

I was craving something sweet and refreshing while I was on the road, so I stopped at In House Coffee! I was instantly impressed by the extensive variety of hot and cold coffee flavors (Snickers, anyone? Or chunky monkey banana?), the unique beverage offerings, and the delightful array of cannolis and other baked goods. The waitress working at the counter greeted us and started a conversation about menu recommendations. She was so sweet and welcoming, I was very appreciative of her hospitality! I was planning on playing it safe and getting a strawberry smoothie, but the waitress persuaded me into trying the mojito. In House's version of a mojito is basically a mocktail/refresher with lemon (instead of lime) and fresh mint, mixed either any fruity flavor of your choosing. I picked to flavor mine with strawberry and pomegranate, and it was the perfect refreshing mix! It tasted like a fancy Shirley Temple, or a mocktail from an all-inclusive resort! My sister wanted a caramel frappe, but that was not on the menu. The waitress very kindly offered to make her a frozen caramel macchiato, and it looked and tasted better than any caramel frappe she could've gotten at Starbucks. The drinks were so amazing, and I'm sure I could come in 100 times and never get the exact same drink twice! One thing to note is the restroom is available to customers only, and you have to obtain a printed receipt to find the bathroom door code. read more

Four stars for being a local establishment. I like supporting small business. If you're going for a regular coffee, I think this would be a good spot and it seems like they have a lot of flavors. This place seems to be branded with a lot of green and makes you think that it would probably have gluten-free or vegan options, but there are only two gluten-free desserts in the refrigerator and no vegan options in the menu so getting a snack was hard with my friend. I tried to get lunch because I was hungry and took a chance on their special beef short rib cheddar cheese, peppers and onions panini. I took one bite of the sandwich that I had paid $14.50 for, and decided that my calories were best spent at Subway with a meatball sub that I actually enjoyed. I would not recommend getting food from the kitchen here based on my experience. I would also say the vibe of the people inside the cafe are classic towny older folks who stare at out-of-towners. I'm from Boston but I still fell out of place that I was getting the lead paint stare from the sparse patrons there on a Thursday at 3pm. The service was very speedy and nice but I definitely knew not to to bring my displeasure with the sandwich to the counter because I did not want to fight. I simply took one bite bite, realize that it was all microwaved overcooked beef that was probably good when it was fresh but a trip to the microwave made it dry and and tough. My best guess is that they used a craft single that counts as cheddar cheese because the cheese just completely melted away like an American cheese. The Jarred roasted red peppers were fine because they were from a jar. And the sauteed onions were too sparse for my taste but they were present. What really did this sandwich in was overdried pita that had been toasted so much that it had lost all moisture and was crumbling in a bite. This no. Frills establishment served this to me on a paper plate and I would have liked to see a reusable plate seeing as they're all about green and Eco. This is clearly an up-and-coming restaurant and I don't want this experience dissuade any customer from trying them out. I would just recommend that you skip the kitchen items. read more

Unfortunately, this place has completely downgraded. The good coffee is gone. There used to be a really sweet woman who died around a year ago due to leukemia. She made the best coffee, always with the right sweetness and right amount of coffee. Now, there is a bunch of amateur girls who don't know how to make a damn coffee! I ordered a cappuccino and instead of making it in a coffee cup with foam and sugar, as a regular cappuccino, she made in in a huge mug full of coffee, no foam, and no sugar. I almost threw up after drinking the whole mug. It literally tasted so bad and was super heavy. They have also shortened their hours because no one really comes here after the morning. Their paninis are also stale because people rarely buy them. Don't come here anymore. Their service also continues to be slow. read more

This is an excellent local coffee and breakfast spot in Worcester. We are not coffee drinkers but were very happy with the tea options and FRESH squeezed OJ! They also make breakfast sandwiches--lots of options, sausage, bacon, different cheeses, panini, bagels, croissants. And veggies on the sandwiches. Our server, Ashley, was super helpful and friendly! They have the best conollies the best filling ive tasted in a while I used to go to whollyconnollie years ago but now is closed . My husband loves the sandwiches and we both love they're coffee. I feel like the last time I was here was ages ago and I remember loving it, but I'm not in the area enough to go more often. Total mistake on my part. The regulars at 9am on a weekday morning are charming and happy, the place is packed, it's clean and decorated cutely with excellent coffee and pastries, and the staff was so invested -- I watched in amazement as the two baristas recognized at least six customers, back to back, on sight, and their regular orders to resounding success. My first impression of this shop was wow. The service was impeccable, the staff were kind and the ambiance was relaxing and the the food was delcious. I had the red velvet frap and my friend had the caramel frap. They had a variety of different milks you could choose and we had the oat. My mother had their watermelon smoothie which was fresh and healthy. The Buffalo chicken wrap was a burst of flavor and the panini was pretty decent. Will come again 10/10 read more

Nitro cold brew was 1/2 ice which i have never had a nitro cold brew with ice in it. It watered down the coffee when asked to remove some of the ice and add more coffee they told me I would be up charged for more coffee. That was disappointing because you're not getting much coffee for the price they charge. The tasty was overall good but I'm not sure why the ice was necessary. I'm always up for trying new to me coffee places and I don't go to Worcester that often so this was an unexpected find. The coffee and baked goods selection is huge. I was surprised at so many interesting treats available. The woman who waited on us was very nice and let us take our time deciding. I wish I could give four stars because the service was so nice but we weren't pleased at all with two of our three selections. First, the banana coffee drink was delicious. They got the banana taste perfect and we really enjoyed the drink. My coffee was pretty meh. I said I didn't want sugar (it was supposed to be peanut butter and chocolate brewed) and they told me it wouldn't be sweet which was fine, however, I think they left out the sugary syrup because this brew tasted like nothing and I would hope they weren't relying on that to capture the promised flavor. We also got a chocolate covered cannoli with chocolate chip cream filling. It was super frozen and impossible to eat. Once it thawed a bit, the chocolate shell was nice but the cream was just gross. I certainly wouldn't order that again. I probably won't stop again since two out of three items were bleh but 3 stars for the banana flavored coffee and great service. Wifi is extremely slow and strict with 2 hour policy and coffee is terrible. They also nickel and dime everything, I purchased coffee and also asked for a cup of pipe water which they stated "bottle water only." I originally gave 3 stars but in 10 minutes, after asking for water, gave 1 star. The employees remind me of characters from Rosanne, King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead tv shows. Too many rules posted on the windows and misspelling on menu and posted materials. I didn't use the bathroom but I wouldn't be surprised if it had a coin slot to have access. I figured I'd not judge anything before I had my coffee. They had a very large coffee selection and I was quite excited when I saw that they roast their own beans. I was even more excited at the selection of pastries they had lined up behind the counter. They offered many different flavors of coffee and cold drinks. I'm more of a purist so I prefer not to put anything in my coffee let alone flavor it. I purchased a bold Italian roast and a blueberry scone. Sadly the coffee tasted bland and old, like it had been sitting for a while. They blueberry scone was bland as well. I regretted not going somewhere else. We ended up here after trying to go Sweet, which is no longer in business. The frozen mango smoothie had no flavor. The chocolate milk shake was a little better, but not much. While my husband, son and I sat at our table one of the employees swept and mopped around our feet and chairs. Mind you it was 3:00pm not closing time. The smell of wet mop and mop bucket are not a pleasant addition to the ambience. The experience ended with me asking for the code to get into the ladies room and being told I needed my receipt. Which I didn't have. If you are looking for a good experience I recommend you choose somewhere else. read more

I occasionally stop by In House when I'm on the other side of town. I came here recently to meet a friend and remembered why I don't frequent this coffee shop. The coffee itself is decent but some of the stuff on their menu has to go....the whole coffee alternatives section (just throw the whole section out!) and the smoothies are pretty lackluster. Their pastries and desserts in particular have a sort of commercial taste to them. Think: Grocery store. Whatevs. The location is cool and it's usually always packed with the regulars, but it's just not my scene. read more
