The special $14.50 served on a paper plate I took one bite of and threw away
    Allegra P.

Four stars for being a local establishment. I like supporting small business. If you're going for a regular coffee, I think this would be a good spot and it seems like they have a lot of flavors. This place seems to be branded with a lot of green and makes you think that it would probably have gluten-free or vegan options, but there are only two gluten-free desserts in the refrigerator and no vegan options in the menu so getting a snack was hard with my friend. I tried to get lunch because I was hungry and took a chance on their special beef short rib cheddar cheese, peppers and onions panini. I took one bite of the sandwich that I had paid $14.50 for, and decided that my calories were best spent at Subway with a meatball sub that I actually enjoyed. I would not recommend getting food from the kitchen here based on my experience. I would also say the vibe of the people inside the cafe are classic towny older folks who stare at out-of-towners. I'm from Boston but I still fell out of place that I was getting the lead paint stare from the sparse patrons there on a Thursday at 3pm. The service was very speedy and nice but I definitely knew not to to bring my displeasure with the sandwich to the counter because I did not want to fight. I simply took one bite bite, realize that it was all microwaved overcooked beef that was probably good when it was fresh but a trip to the microwave made it dry and and tough. My best guess is that they used a craft single that counts as cheddar cheese because the cheese just completely melted away like an American cheese. The Jarred roasted red peppers were fine because they were from a jar. And the sauteed onions were too sparse for my taste but they were present. What really did this sandwich in was overdried pita that had been toasted so much that it had lost all moisture and was crumbling in a bite. This no. Frills establishment served this to me on a paper plate and I would have liked to see a reusable plate seeing as they're all about green and Eco. This is clearly an up-and-coming restaurant and I don't want this experience dissuade any customer from trying them out. I would just recommend that you skip the kitchen items.

I feel like the last time I was here was ages ago and I remember loving it, but I'm not in the area enough to go more often. Total mistake on my part. The regulars at 9am on a weekday morning are charming and happy, the place is packed, it's clean and decorated cutely with excellent coffee and pastries, and the staff was so invested -- I watched in amazement as the two baristas recognized at least six customers, back to back, on sight, and their regular orders to resounding success. The energy there set the stage for a lovely morning. What a treat!

    Red Velvet Frappe

My first impression of this shop was wow. The service was impeccable, the staff were kind and the ambiance was relaxing and the the food was delcious. I had the red velvet frap and my friend had the caramel frap. They had a variety of different milks you could choose and we had the oat. My mother had their watermelon smoothie which was fresh and healthy. The Buffalo chicken wrap was a burst of flavor and the panini was pretty decent. Will come again 10/10

I haven't been here often because it's out of the way for me but everytime I've been the staff have been the absolute sweetest people Didn't catch her name but she had pretty blue eye makeup on , she's always the sweetest from the first time I was here until now I just forgot to post the review from my drafts iced seasalt caramel and twixie (frozen)

    Tea Selection

Great googly moogly! After Worcester's restaurant week dinner, we were on the hunt for caffeine and found this popular modern coffee shop in a mini plaza with accessible parking spaces. This is a unique drink spot with a vast selection of flavor for any hot or iced beverages. Sweet stuff, yes please! Ice Brownie Toffee Crunch Coffee- Smooth mixture of chocolatey and buttery toffee flavors. Yum! White Orchard Tea Latte w/ Vanilla Syrup- I'm in love with the fruity notes from the peach and melon with green tea and the milk was steamed perfectly and blended so well. Overall Service: The only worker who was their was wonderful. She was willing to customize my tea drink for me anyway I wanted it and it ended up tasting amazing! Super glad we stopped by.

Medium Nitro cold brew with soy milk
    Shelby S.

Nitro cold brew was 1/2 ice which i have never had a nitro cold brew with ice in it. It watered down the coffee when asked to remove some of the ice and add more coffee they told me I would be up charged for more coffee. That was disappointing because you're not getting much coffee for the price they charge. The tasty was overall good but I'm not sure why the ice was necessary. Otherwise, Big open windows are appreciated. Busy with variety of customers. I didn't stay i was ordering to go.

Love the vibe at In House Coffee! My husband and I often come here on Sundays to order some macchiatos, breakfast sandwiches, and sit to do a crossword. The lovely ladies behind the counter are exceedingly efficient at what they do; sometimes we don't even need to verbally order!! If you haven't stopped by yet, you'll definitely have to try them out!!

It's got just the right mix of bounce, density, and butteriness, without being too greasy. Big, fresh blueberries (not the shriveled kind). Plenty of crumbly streusel on top for extra taste and texture. Their mixed berry has multiple fruit presence and more of it, minus the streusel. Also very good. Sometimes the muffins are warm. Sometimes a little long in the tooth. -- Cakes: That's their claim to fame, and for good reason. They're more expensive than most, but so dense, rich, and heavy that a small slice goes a long way. My favorite is the chocolate raspberry decadence (pool of raspberry atop a deep, dark chocolate frosting). Or maybe the strawberry snowflake, which is like the best strawberry shortcake you ever had. -- Cupcakes: These often feature some of the same ingredients as the cakes, such as that killer chocolate ganache. Great for the toppings and fillings, though the cake part (especially if chocolate base) is often dry. -- Cookies: Noticeably less impressive, EXCEPT for the Linzer heart. Great flavor and texture in the raspberry and shortbread. -- Coffee: Good stuff. Not elite, but good, in heavy mugs with good feel. Service is a little lacking. Not so much because of rudeness, but because they're perpetually understaffed for the amount of business they do.

I stopped by to get a couple of coffees to go, and a pastry. The staff was very patient and pleasant to chat with - something I really miss with the larger coffee chains. The coffees were made exactly as I requested, and the pastry was warmed up and wrapped in a foil to maintain the heat. I really love the attention to detail. I'll note that I noticed they use Monin brand syrups (my favorite!). They are not the cheapest option, so it goes to show that the folks at Acoustic Java care about quality over maximizing profit. The location is great - a bit hidden, but the industrial vibe just fits for a small roasting company. I love that the roastery is visible through the glass panels. The packaged beans are all laid out for you to easily read the labels and shop. I love that they carry quality tea for non-coffee drinkers/tea lovers. The merch is also cute, I was very tempted to add yet another coffee shop tote bag to my hoard. They carry a huge variety of used and new books - and they offer the most unique pricing I've ever seen. You can look up the cost of the book online - so long as the condition is roughly the same, that's how much they will charge you for the book (+ tax)! That's amazing, and I don't know how they can possibly even make money with this policy, but with the giant chain and online retailers, it's really the best incentive to get folks to support local. I think one of the biggest highlights here, on top of the great coffee, ambiance, and service, is that they offer various tastings, classes, and live music events. Personally, I feel like this is key in building a community, and I love that they do this. You can look up the different events on their website, some of which are free to attend. I can definitely see this as a place to come read a book over some tea, catch up with a friend over coffee, or take a date to a barista class for a unique experience.
