I have a confession to make. I have eaten here three times in the past 2 weeks. Unhealthy? Sure. Worth it? Yes! Great selections and big portions. So far, my favorite dish I've tried is the mushroom n pesto egg benedict. Upgrade your potatoes to the Brussel sprouts potatoes. It's a MUST! Awesome atmosphere and the service is always on point. Definitely one of my favorite brunch spots in Orange County. read more

Shoutout to Dillan! He made me a custom guava margarita! It was phenomenal. The experience and customer service was stupendous.

Dylan and Josh gave great service and food and coffee was delicious as always!! Would come again.

I visited for the first time today at the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed. The tables are spaced for COVID so I won't complain about our wait. We checked in and were told 20-25 minutes and waited 43 before inquiring where we were in line and they called our name 2 minutes later. The food was worth the wait! I will say although they seem to be going for an urban hip feel with their interior decor it seemed a little unimpressive. Also the temp inside was like walking into a refrigerator, the AC was crazy cold and it was in the 60s outside. But again, I was there for the food and the food was impressive. I had the Jalapeño cheddar omelette. It had great flavor! The sausage stuffed inside was so delicious. It had a tiny kick but nothing crazy, so if you are looking for hot be sure to ask for hot sauce! I spent the $2 for the upgraded potatoes and I didn't have regrets. I'm not sure which I liked more the omelette or the brussel sprout potatoes. They were caramelized with onion, bacon and olive oil. They were a tad sweet (which I liked) with a burst of flavor. Don't think twice upgrade! The only disappointing part of my meal was the side of bacon I ordered. It didn't even look appealing. I should have asked for crispy because it was so limp. I just took a nibble for the taste and didn't eat the rest. I love bacon so that's very unlike me. My review may seem mixed, but I promise the 5 stars was well earned. Try it for yourself! I may go back tomorrow! read more

Really cool atmosphere and great staff. The burrito I ordered was pretty flavorless like they forgot to add salt or bacon or something to make it more than unseasoned steak and potatoes. My wife's omelette was really good though so I assume this was just a one-off mistake. Would go back. read more

I'm the person that essentially believes that if you have nothing good to say then don't say it. Most of my reviews are positive and illustrate the benefits of the establishment. I deemed this place 4 stars due to location, pricing and dishes served. To start off the location is at UTC close to the heart of UCI (University of California, Irvine). This location is prime for students and local residents to benefit from. Please be weary that due to high demand for parking--the lot sets 45 minute parking spaces. Pricing on the menu is a bit complex giving a wide-range of dishes but of course focusing on breakfast and brunch. However, be prepared to spend a good amount due to property rent immediately reflected onto the prices. The menu can range from $9-$20 dishes. The food, I ordered the California Breakfast Burrito--excellent choice that will leave you content. Flavors are good, but not incredibly unique. You should definitely come to check-it out for yourself, but please come with patience because it'll take awhile to be seated and served. read more

definitely order the mr. presley french toast!! SO GOOD. it's a southern style french toast (bananas foster and bacon bits on top) with peanut butter filling. if you're feelin healthy for breakie, order the veggie scramble! but beware, it's 1/4 scramble, 3/4 potato wedges (WOMP WOMP); it was more like potato wedges with a side of scramble...like ok............... read more

I've been in search of a new brunch spot and stumbled across Breakfast Republic- what a great find! I ordered the banana split French toast, and some side scrambled eggs with Jack cheese (you know, to be healthy or whatever). The eggs were great. But that French toast... That was delicious! It's definitely French toast but the banana and ice cream it comes with elevate it into its own category. I'm a sucker for such a creative menu, so I just might have found my new brunch place. read more

Very busy little breakfast spot ! The wait isn't horrible but they don't take reservations so expect that! The food was delicious! I had the Jurassic pork benedict and the bacon alone was amazing! I opted to upgrade my potatoes as well which was also great! Over all the food was good they were busy like I said so wait times took a little longer than normal. I didn't love being seated on the outside patio, the space was very cramped and it was easy to feel forgotten so opt for inside seating when you can ! read more

This is an update from previous 5 star review. My family went back this past weekend anticipating another great breakfast. Unfortunately it was totally opposite from our first visit. Slow service and food came out cold I notice only one person bring out the food and plates were backed up at counter. We waited close to 30 min before I food came out. Absolutely no quality control. I will think twice about returning! read more

Lifeless meal. Potatoes were dry, toast wasn't toasted and no butter or jam, sausage was split but not browned. The entire meal reminded me of any other breakfast you can buy. There no flavor, nothing that would make me want to return to have more. I left thinking I had just ate at Dennys read more

Wait is abnormally long. Communication is abysmal. Second time and no more. Quoted 35mins, when taking reservations. An hour later another person comes out blames the first person for being new and then quoting everyone another 35mins who I know will be longer. read more

All hype. I've been there twice because both times different family members were curious after looking at their Yelp reviews. The wait both times was ridiculous (don't know why). But most importantly, the food is mediocre. I've tried the steak with chimichurri and the portions were tiny. Their breakfast burrito was just ok. Strawberry cheesecake waffles...again just average. Save your time as it's just not worth the crazy wait read more

I docked one star because there was such a long wait to go in and get seated. Unfortunately they do not take reservations so I was walking around Trader Joe's next door while I waited. Compared to other breakfast places, it's not as much different but the food does taste good. So no complaints there ! I got the Jambalaya , which isn't as flavorful as Cajun/creole places but since it's for breakfast, it was a good lighter version of a jambalaya. I also had the s'mores pancakes which was tasty. read more

Decent service, average food. Definitely not worth the prices they're charging. I don't understand the hype.

Normally my favorite place for vegannoptions but I ordered through doordash and they didnt put the hollandaise sauce on my jammin bennie i called them about it and they said I could come in but theres nothing they could do which i wasnt expecting them to do anything really since i reported it and got the credits back but wish they would have at least apologized. I called to let them know why I was reporting it in case they lose the money from it. read more

So for about 4 months now my girlfriend has been hounding me to come here I never wanted to because it's a 45 min drive . I show up I'm appalled that it's outside a Trader Joe's with no nice view , my first reaction this place is gonna suck. When I get in I read a little quote that says "never let success get to your head and never let failure get to your heart" . So I'm like ok let's see what this place gots, I'm digging how the insides looking . Btw it's my girlfriends birthday to that's why we came . Right as we were seated we were greeted I ordered 2 shots of tequila and she ordered a mimosa . I had ordered the shrimp and ricotta frittata with strawberry French toast and she ordered the protein lover with the banana split French toasts . Everything came out pretty quickly ,presentation was on point !So was the food one bite into my plate and I instantly knew I f#k3d up by not coming here sooner . The cheesy-ness with the shrimp and the bell peppers was absolutely amazing!!! Few bites in I took a bite out of my French toast it was good but one bite out of my girlfriends French toast made me absolutely amazed ! I love this place I'm still eating my meal writing this that's how good it is ! Definitely coming back probably best breakfast I've ever tried and I don't think it's the tequila talking . If I could give it a extra star based on flavor I absolutely would . read more

I must not be a California breakfast fan. This place was good but it was just missing something. I'm used to having spice with my breakfast and the salsa here was meh at best. This place boasts stellar food in a modern restaurant with lots of egg decor, high ceilings, and an open feel. There was indoor and outdoor seating available. What really attracted our little party was that their gluten free options included a Cinnamon Raisin French Toast, as opposed to the usual options of just egg dishes. It turns out that several of the menu items could be made gluten free, thanks to the handy GF symbol noted on the menu. We came as a party of 6, celebrating my sister's upcoming wedding. Our server was friendly and kind. We started off with a bottle of champagne and grapefruit juice for some breakfast mimosas. At the end of the meal, the server brought a celebratory slice of their homemade coffee cake with a candle in it. The coffee cake was a bit dry and unimpressive, although I appreciate the ginger flavor coming through strongly. I had so much trouble choosing what to order, because they offer so many amazing-looking options!! I almost went with the Breakfast Mac n Cheese or the Oreo Pancakes (guess I need to visit again, huh?) but ended up settling on the Crab and Crawfish Cakes Eggs Benedict. Wow, the dish did not disappoint! What really set this apart from other eggs Benedict that I've eaten was the blackberry jalapeño jam that was spread onto the English muffin. It lent a sweetness to the otherwise savory dish. The yolks were perfectly runny, the hollandaise sauce was smooth and creamy (and was naturally GF). I opted for Brussels sprouts as my side, instead of the standard potatoes (please note this is a $2 upgrade), and it was SO worth it!! Instead of breakfast potatoes, I was greeted with a mound of Brussels sprouts mixed with bacon and red onion, cooked to perfection, with a few lovely charred spots. Never again will I doubt that Brussels sprouts can make an incredible breakfast accompaniment. My sister ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes, and she shared a couple bites with me. These luscious cakes were some of the fluffiest pancakes I've had in a long time. Moist, light, and full of flavor. My mouth is watering thinking about them. The only downsides to our experience were that the server asked if we wanted Brussels sprouts versus potatoes, or if we wanted avocado with our dishes, as we were ordering, but she didn't mention that those would be upgrades. The menu was a little too daunting with lots of options, but it was also my bad that I missed the extra fee listed. I do wish the server had said, "Would you like to upgrade to _____?" which would hint at an increased cost. Also, the Brussels sprouts that my friends received were significantly darker than mine. I almost couldn't tell they used to be green. My friends didn't complain and said they tasted fine, but the inconsistency in the final product was disappointing. All in all, I loved this place. I'm coming back to get some pancakes and to try their coffee with piloncillo. They also have the cutest signs everywhere, including in the bathroom sink. Lovely ambiance, delicious food! read more

We were seated right away by front staff! Luckily there was no wait on a weekday. We ordered and asked a few questions about the menu. The lady helping us was very kind and helped us to decide. We ordered the pancake flight and chose 3 kinds. The churro one was just okay. It was topped with cinnamon sugar. Lacking the like fried crunch aspect of a real churro. Flavor was just okay. The pineapple upside down was better. It had a nice pineapple taste but it wasn't the best out of the 3 we ordered. The best flavor was the lemon coconut one!! I loved the taste of the coconut and the lemon was refreshing! It didn't even need syrup!! We also ordered the protein scramble. LOVEEEED it! So much bacon lol. I think the bacon really made it. You could honestly barely taste the egg because of all the extra meat inside, but it was there. It was topped with cheese and actually you could taste the cheese. Ps their ketchup has a kick to it. It reminded me of Tabasco? But pour it in cuz it was delish! As for the upgraded potatoes on the side... that $2 extra for the upgrade is 100000% worth it!! I loved how the balsamic really brought it up a notch! Loved the tangy flavor against the semi-sweetness coming from the bacon. Do yourself a favor and come with many people so you can share and steal their food (; read more

This was our 2nd choice as as 1st choice for brunch closed at 2pm. It took us a while to find it as WAZE had us going to apartments nearby. I was on the fence on giving this place 4 stars or 3 but I went with 3 because there was more than two major things for me personally that didn't sit right with our food experience. On the top of my list is cleanliness and they definitely missed the mark. Our glasses and silverware were dirty where it looked like they probably were sent through the washer but all the particles of food were not cleaned off. The towel they cleaned the table with did not look fresh and not one even attempted to wipe the chairs. It was closer to their closing time so maybe that's why the floors were very dirty as well under and around the tables. Please note we did sit outside on their patio area to keep Covid friendly. The food was good with large portions but my issue was you had to wait about 5 minutes or more before someone came back so we could ask for silverware. We were not the only table without silverware and waiting with their food. We also needed condiments and had to ask for syrup and ketchup. I'm just confused why these essential things were not readily available and no one even was going to check and see if we had everything or needed anything else. In observing around us this seemed common and another lady returned her entire dish to the kitchen. In all I don't see us returning but if we did it would be for the breakfast burger and the Oreo pancakes. read more

This review is based on a DoorDash order so I'm only reviewing the food we received. Looking at the menu, I could tell this is a trendy take on breakfast items. There were some interesting combos that I was excited to try, and hearing how busy the place always is I couldn't wait. We ordered the eggs Benedict, Presley, pancakes, and bacon. Unfortunately we only received the Presley and pancakes. I don't know if they canceled the Benedict and bacon, but nothing was told to us and we were still charged for those items through DoorDash which we ended up getting a refund for. Now food: being a huge banana and pb fan, I was so excited to try the Presley. First bite food was cold, and the first bite was so dry I had to drink water to get it down. Second bite was better but honestly it wasn't anything special. We paid $1 extra for 100% maple syrup but it was so thick I highly doubt it was the 100% maple syrup, not to mention one of the containers was only filled halfway. The pancakes were fluffy, but again nothing special. I've seen the line go out the door for this restaurant, so I was pretty disappointed with what we received. I know the experience is different actually eating there, but with what we had I don't even know if it's worth waiting in that line. read more

Food was decent, definitely different, I feel like this place was a little over hyped. Crazy busy, waited over an hour which wasn't their fault. It was super rainy and they closed off their outdoor seating so it was limited people. Decor was cute, but I wasn't that impressed with the food which is why I give it 3 stars. read more

Please save your money. This is probably one of the worse tasting food I have ever had. A party of 3 people ordered the Breakfast Jambalaya- no flavor and very average, and his food was cold. My daughter ordered the traditional breakfast- poached eggs were done well, however the toast was cold and hard and the potatoes were cold and taste like cardboard. I had the tostado's- sent them back as the potatoes were cold also, and the food was below average. I ordered the Cinnamon raisin french toast and disappointed in the texture, it was hard and not enjoyable. We went here based on reviews and were majorly disappointed. Not only the food was bad, the server (who seemed nice enough) was no where to be found to refill our waters until were were about to leave. read more

Wasn't impressed. Service was below average, we sat there for 15 min before we asked them if we could order cause no one came to us, at which point the guy looked at us annoyingly and said he need to first put these plates away and then he'll tell the server we're ready. Our server was actually pretty nice but didn't really come to check up on us at all and we had to call her over and ask for water refill etc. My wife ordered coffee that came out cold and when we got replacement that felt like it was microwaved, not what I expected from this establishment. I got the jambalaya which was just ok, I wouldn't order again. Wife got grits and that was pretty decent. Kids got pancakes which was ok as well. Nothing was really special or anything and considering the pricing, below average service and the wait, I would probably not come back. read more

Good concept but poor execution. Difficult to say if this place is a repeat for me. Here are the key points: + Good menu, something for everyone + Delicious bacon + Well seasoned potatoes + Fun atmosphere - Lack of cleanliness; coffee cup had lip stick on it - Only one person was really working; rest of staff walking around aimlessly - Chaos at storefront as host/hostess was nowhere to be found Wanted to like this place but very average experience. read more
