    Chilaquiles

Eclectic, and cool! The ketchup-style sauce (their words, not mine) was popular with my family. I really liked the chilaquiles... still crunchy when it came out annnnnnd very good sauce on it. Overall a good breakfast stop with nice portions for a decent price! Would recommend! Stay Cheerful

So sad this place is closing! I will miss the vegan breakfast/brunch options. I love the Tres Leches Pancakes and the Jamm'n Bennie. We were commuting from Oceanside to dine here but further south would be a bit too far of a drive for breakfast with young kids. I hope that you all continue to serve the vegan community no matter whatever business endeavors come your way.

Thankfully this restaurant is nowhere near my home as I would be here every single morning. Their shrimp and grits had a fantastic flavor and spice level. The iced ube latte was a delicious treat with the perfect level of sweetness and amazing espresso. The country potatoes have the perfect amount of seasoning. The scrambled eggs are cool, nothing too fancy but I can't wait to come back. The decor in the restaurant was super cute, I kept reading the sign about pursing your passions while I waited (very shortly) for my food. 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area

We've been to almost all of the Breakfast republics and this one did not disappoint. Great location with ample parking which, if you've been to any Breakfast Republic you know can be challenging. It was clean, staff was so welcoming and friendly. The food and drinks were amazing. I tried the breakfast republic latte and it was amazing. My upgraded potatoes were so yummy as well as everything else. Great spot and we will be back for sure

Great place to have brunch with friends from the friendly service and it easy to find , a tip on parking if you are not there early you will have to park further on the other side for parking but it shared with a shopping center so you get what you get . Food A nice size portions . my favorite is the processco mimosa with guava . Or yeah food huh, duh . If you like to try things this lovely skillet meal was the shrimp frittata.. that's just me being greedy and coffee cake is a twist but delightful ... Eat up peeps

The flight and the BR Sammie

This has become one of my new favorite spots. I was the first time and didn't know what to order so I decided to do the flight so I could pick three different pancakes or French toast. They did not have waffles. I then decided to get something more than the sweets and decided to go with the BR Sammy. From first glance, even with the hole over the egg was such a delight, but when i took that first bite i was in heaven !!

One of my most enjoyed breakfasts EVER! Food expertly prepared, hot and delicious. We had shrimp&grits with eggs and breakfast jambalaya. Definitely recommend. Elizabeth was enjoyable, professional and kept the coffee de olla flowing it was a fun new coffee experience, also a must try. 5 star environment, food and service all the way.

    Start the day after Labcorp!

Our first back breakfast back in Carlsbad or Encinitas, we were hungry because we had to fast all morning before LabCorp. Jose was a very good server, the only reason for the four stars was, I thought that all the food was just a tad undercooked. My wife had eggs Benedict and I thought the English muffins were as soft as I've ever felt. My pancakes, acceptable pretty nice taste but the sausage that I ordered on the side was truly uneditable. Jose was nice enough to take it off the bill and to take it back. Latte and coffee just what we needed. Parking, easy and a nice big lot, interior lots of tables maybe just because it was a Thursday after breakfast. Good place to try if you haven't gone I just wouldn't order the maple sausage.

Perfect place for a quick brunch date. The vibe is easy and the service was fast and friendly. Is the food out of this world? No, but it's good food at a semi affordable price and there is something for everyone! Went here with my teen son and he was very happy!

Food: My husband and I came for breakfast on 11/27/2025, yes, open on a Holiday! My husband ordered an omelet dish with sausage and an espresso drink. I ordered a spicy blood Mary (so good!, plus coffee,) and the jurassic Benedict breakfast with upgraded potatoes with Brussels & bacon, which is one of my favorite. Very flavorful. Service: It was Ok, Laura was very professional and friendly. She did come over to see if things tasted good but I had just taken a drink and my husband said everything was good. Ambiance: Fun and modern. Noteworthy: My husband's hot espresso drink was cold, like it had been sitting around for an hour, we flagged Laura over for a new one. My breakfast was lukewarm, the upgraded potatoes and eggs, I HATE when it's lukewarm & its not the first time, I keep forgetting to tell them I want it hot, I dont think I should have to say it but I do like coming here. I want to see steam rising from my food, lol I didn't want to complain after the cold espresso, so I ate some and saved some to heat up at home because it is flavorful. My husband's food was hot, so I imagine mine was ready first and his was freshly served hot while mine cooled off.

I noticed that their ketchup has corn syrup. Do their menu items have corn syrup?

Their ketchup might have been homemade before, but I doubt it is anymore. We were there just last week and noticed the long list of ingredients on the back of the bottle. Corn syrup is definitely in there now. I don't know if their other menu items…

Do they have a kids menu?

We do not have a specified kids menu, however we do offer side. We also off single pancakes or single slice of french toast. Hope this answers your question,

When does the Carlsbad location open ? Been waiting ... and waiting.. and waiting ...

I asked last weekend and they let us know that construction has been halted for now. There were several issues with permits since the building is under construction. They're potentially looking for another location, but for now everything is on…

Is it closed for good already or? I've recently noticed boarded up windows.

No. They are getting new windows put in and are open during construction.

Do they allow dogs on the patio?

I've def seen dogs on the patio yes!!!

    Do they take reservations?

Unfortunately we're on a first come first serve basis and don't accept reservations.

I did take a bite of the molten butter cake while it was hot and fresh (I ordered it to-go) and the caramel really elevated the cake. Five stars for ambiance and service. I usually order an iced matcha latte with oat milk and a Sweet Toast inside the market, then when I'm ready I switch to a cup or two of hard kombucha, which always has ingredients plucked from the farm, depending on what is seasonal. Everything is always delicious and delightful. Service at this walk-up coffee area is friendly. There is plenty of seating outside, in the front or back of the open-air market, and lingering for hours is encouraged. I like taking a walk around the perimeter farm while I'm there as well. There is an apothecary and a brewery on the premises, as well as a coffee roasting area. This part of the farm always seems to be closed for a private event, but that just adds to the bustling and community atmosphere. There is a couch area with a fire pit (and one in the back) in addition to the assortment of tables, a huge grass area and a natural (wood) climbing structure for kids to play, and sometimes they have live music there. There are always families and Encinitas locals hanging out and enjoying all that this place has to offer. There is a pizza stall in front of the market, as well as Huerta Tacos stand in back. The Cook said most of the pizzas can be made with the vegan cheese. Included a few nice options with pesto sauce, truffle, mushroom, and more. After seeing a few come out out of the oven with the bubbled crust, I'm looking forward to returning and giving one a try. It seemed to be the favorite menu item of the outdoor diners, as the tables were full of them. Parking is on a dirt and gravel stretch so skip the sandals and flip-flops & wear closed toed tennis shoes. There are walking paths around the properties so you can get in a nice stroll before having a nibble and a drink. The path around the property you'll see their crops of produce and flowers growing as well as the animals they have: horses, goats pigs. The hostess, who claimed she was also vegetarian was quick to point out all the vegetarian options some can be converted to vegan by omitting the cheese or dairy ingredient. There's a nice tall bar upstairs with stools and one TV for watching news or sports. Apparently they have a brunch weekends only with a menu that also looks very inviting. The property has a large selection of bottled wines, a micro brewery and a coffee bean brewery. Family friendly, a nice place to go to get a bite and drink, stretch your legs, enjoy fresh air (although a bit dusty near parking lot). Country music is playing loudly in and around the property. We have an expanse of grass for picnic in a play area that's very natural and organic and appearance and a glass house which opens up onto a hard scape patio available for a private event events. Both were bone dry and I had to ask for more. Moreover, the cilantro lime rice was also a bit bland. It needed salt to lift the flavors in my opinion. There weren't even flecks of green if it was supposed to be cilantro? I tried boyfriend's veggie hash but was disappointed to find that it was almost all potatoes. Having said that, it was an extremely generous portion so he was filled up. Anyways, ask for their chili sauce on the side, that's actually quite surprising. It had really good heat and was more like a chili crisp than a vinegary hot sauce. The plates that did score favorably at the table were the carne chilaquiles and the divorced eggs.

BIERGARDEN @ ENCINITAS…read more Parking can be a little difficult since this spot is located right on the main strip in Encinitas. There's parallel street parking throughout the area, so you might get lucky and find a spot nearby. I ended up parking on one of the side streets, which worked out perfectly. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. We had to wait a little while for a table because several tables still needed to be cleaned before they could seat new guests. The staff was incredibly friendly, though, and we were seated as soon as they could. It did take about 15 minutes before a server was able to come over and take our order, but the restaurant was completely packed, so it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. After spending the day at the beach, we were really just in the mood for drinks. I ordered the Blood Orange Margarita, which can be served with Tajín, sea salt, or no rim at all. It was really good and definitely on the stronger side, which I appreciated. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much ice, but the flavor itself was great. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, large open windows that let in plenty of fresh air, and a fun, lively vibe that makes it a great place to relax after a beach day. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the ambiance and cocktails, just be prepared for a little wait if you visit during peak hours.

To start, the employees here are so sweet! There are so many seating options inside, outside, and even an additional seating area in a more quiet and secluded room. I was a little nervous that the wheat alternatives would be bland or dry and hard, but everything was delicious! I ordered the Veggie Lovers pizza with vegan mozzarella and ricotta on a paleo crust. I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and flavorful the crust was! The vegan cheeses were also exceptional and the entire pizza was cooked perfectly. The tortillas that they use for the tacos are good as well. Whether you are gluten-free, vegan, trying to eat healthier, or simply accompanying a friend, Nectarine Grove has something for everyone!
