I've been wanting to try this place for a while after a few friend recommendations and was not disappointed! My family and I ended up getting the following: Breakfast Mac & Cheese ( ): A little too oily/greasy for my liking, but the flavors were still great! I ordered my eggs over-easy so that's most likely what contributed to the oily-ness. Cluck Madame Benedict ( ): The ham was super sweet and the entire Benedict itself was very flavorful. It was a great balance of sweet and savory flavoring. Mr. Presley French Toast ( ): My favorite thing that we ordered! I loved that the french toast was folded and the peanut butter & banana was delicious. It was soft and sweet and I would highly recommend this if you're a peanut butter lover. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage ( ): This sausage was super flavorful and not too spicy at all. My only desire is that I wish it came with more! Overall, my experience here was great and the staff was so friendly, funny, and accommodating. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a nice breakfast or brunch place to go with friends or family :) read more

Came here for first time after everbowl failed, spent 14$ on an omelette with NO garlic and no onions, just has bacon sausage and egg, very disappointed with this spot and with the reviews it has, pictures looked good but the taste is everything, food was edible but not enjoyable, also paid 5$ for some orange juice that is smaller then the tall option at starbucks. Shout out to manager, Melissa (?)! She went over and above when my on-line order meant for Mission Valley, somehow was routed to Encinitas. I was unable to get through on the phone (she now knows she has a phone problem--still), and was on hold for over an hour trying to correct the problem, and had to duplicate the to-go order in MV. I had to physically drive to Encinitas, where my breakfast order was still sitting (hours later), and Melissa was great. She got Door Dash to refund my order fully, told me to take the breakfast order anyway (we now have yummy breakfast for days), and sent me off with a gift card and invitation to please come back. She was committed to seeing i left happy and satisfied, and i did. Thank you!! read more

This is the ultimate breakfast/brunch place. Been a customer for years now, and every time I am blown away with the great food and customer service. Today I tried their new prosciutto Bennie bowl recommended to us by our server Brooke, and it was AMAZING. Just like eggs Benedict but in a bowl! Brooke was so kind and patient in helping us navigate the menu options, I am not one to go out of my food comfort zone but she was very convincing. I'd come back any time she's working! read more

What a great find in Encinitas! We were going back and forth with a few brunch places in the area and I'm glad we decided to go here. They have extended their patio seating into the parking lot, with nicely spaced tables to accommodate groups of 2 to 8. We came a little before noon on a Monday and our party of 2 was seated right away. They have the QR code for their menu taped on the table, scan with your mobile device and it directs you to the online menu. Clever, contactless. But I also saw that they offered their regular menus to those who don't have a mobile device handy (this super cute elderly couple on a brunch date). I'm the savory type of breakfast person. So, the Cluck Madame immediately caught my eyes. Their version of the classic croque monsieur. Eggs benedict - ham & gruyere on an english muffin, topped with bechamel sauce and a parsley garnish. Comes with house potatoes, that I upgraded (+$2) to their brussels sprout roasted potatoes with parmesan cheese, bacon, & balsamic vinegar. WORTH IT. DO IT. My friend loves her french toast so she got the Strawberry & Mascarpone French Toast (this was a hefty serving) but the bread is amazing. It's perfectly done, it's not too soggy, it still holds and gives the perfect balance to a creamy mascarpone filling. It is topped with strawberries and comes with a syrup on the side. We added an order of their Maple Sage sausage for a little something on the side. Great flavors! Amazing food. Great customer service. Our server, Juan, was a delight. He took great care of us and even had us try two versions of their ketchup (the regular one & the spicy one - this one tasted more smoked, so good!) The staff's uniforms were so cute... I asked to take a photo of it. Thanks for taking care of us Juan! Definitely one of our favorites in the area. read more

We loved Breakfast Republic! Victoria (who wasn't even our server) was very kind and hospitable, a great worker who took really good care of us even though she was waiting on another table (management should do what they can to keep her around!). We ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes, the California burrito, and the breakfast bacon Mac & cheese. Everything was excellent! The burrito was filled with avocado and other fillings and the salsa was very unique with some alcoholic beverage taste to it that was delicious and went really well with the burrito. The pancakes were delicious and not overly sweet but also very flavorful. And the Mac and cheese was also excellent. Every dish included hearty portions and pronounced flavors. The restaurant decorations were also pretty cool as well as the company merch. read more

I have been wanting to try Breakfast Republic for the longest time and I'm glad that I was finally able to do so! Our group came in on a Sunday early afternoon (around 1:30) and we were seated within 15 minutes. I ordered the Jurassic Pork Benedicts ($13, $2 extra for avocado), and our group shared the Bottle of Champagne and OJ ($22). The jurassic pork with the benedicts had this sort of sweetness to them, and although it might not look like much on the plate, I was totally full by the time I finished the plate. The house potatoes weren't the best that I've had though; I think they went a bit too heavy handed on the pepper because that was most of what I could taste from them. The mimosas are pretty standard, nothing too outstanding. You aren't limited to just orange juice; you could also get some cranberry juice and some other juice (that I forgot) if you aren't a fan of orange juice. Between the 4 of us, the bottle was big enough to fill all of our glasses twice, so you can get 8 glasses total from the bottle. Service was awesome. Our waiter was super enthusiastic and multiple people regularly checked up on us and made sure that we were all satisfied with our orders and that our waters were consistently being filled up. Everyone there was super friendly and made our experience much better than it already was. read more

Food: breakfast burrito is good!! Also had the Oreo pancakes and they were also very yummy!!their potatoes are very bland Service: our server seemed very grumpy, maybe a bad day? He was a little rude, very little conversation and barely any attention at all. Had to flag him down for water refills and napkins and it was not busy when we went in so I couldn't really understand why the service was bad The cleanliness of the condiments was extremely concerning!! The rim of the salsa and ketchup bottles were DISGUSTING!! they were crusty and looked like they haven't been cleaned in months!! The ketchup on our table had black MOLD on the rim and the cap!! We tried to pick another ketchup from another table and they were all the same!! If Condiments on the table for guests to see look like that then I don't even want to begin to think of what that kitchen looks like, SO GROSS!! Based on our most recent experience, 2 stars is being generous. It was January 3rd, 2024, a Wednesday, and we showed up after the lunch rush - party of two. A note on the hostess stand read, "Sorry, no french toast." Well, there goes the best part of the menu. We stood at the door for about 5 minutes chatting before a woman came out with a portable electronic device, and told us that there would be a 10 minute wait and that there was one party ahead of us. We'll call her "host person #1." We had spent the last 5 minutes standing and looking around. There were no open tables. Not because there was a crowd, there were only three tables being used, but every, single, other table needed to be bussed. It looked as if a hundred people had just left. By the time we left, about 45 minutes later, only two of the tables that needed to be bussed were bussed - the one we were using and the one used for the party ahead of us. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We waited outside for 15 minutes, and the party of three ahead of us had still not been seated. No one else had entered the restaurant during this time. They got frustrated and walked in without being summoned. We went in behind them and overheard a different host person telling them that there would be a 15 minute wait. We'll call him "host person #2." (Again, no one had entered the restaurant, and none of the tables had been cleared during the time we had been waiting outside.) The party of three, reminded host person #2 that they had been waiting for over 15 minutes already. #2 asked their name, said, "Give me a minute," and bussed a table so that they could sit. Something he obviously could have done anytime over the last 15 minutes plus time period that they were waiting. The wait time quoted was obviously arbitrary. We caught the eye of our regular waiter, who quickly bussed a table and sat us. (Our waiter was the only person in the restaurant actually running around working on Wednesday, January 4th, 2024). He was waiting on five tables now, including ours - delivering beverages, taking orders and delivering food. Just him. Host person #2 was behind the bar doing very little, and doing it very slowly. He was however, waiting on a single person, who appeared to be maybe his mom who accompanies him to work, and sits at a table by the bar, drinking iced tea. Or she was a regular, because she greeted and hugged our waiter, oblivious to how busy he was. We'll call her, "Mom." Host person #2 remained oblivious to all of the tables that still needed to be cleared, and kept his back turned to the restaurant. He did however keep "Mom's" iced tea filled, and dropped by her table now and then to chat. Suddenly, host person #1, magically appeared from the back of the restaurant with her electronic device to collect from one of the tables that was leaving, and then she disappeared, never to be seen again. Now that another party of two had paid and left, there was yet another table that needed bussing. It remained that way for the duration of our visit. Well, maybe the food would be good. Sadly, it was not to be. I was served coffee that was old and bitter ($4.60). Knowing that there was little chance of improvement, I just didn't drink it. We ordered the Breakfast Mac and Cheese with Jurassic Pork ($14.66 + $6.90 and milk x 2 = $7.00) and the Cluck Madame Benedict ($15.81) which came with breakfast potatoes. The breakfast Mac and Cheese was a much smaller portion than usual. The Benedict tasted okay, except that the eggs were undercooked and runny. All of the food was obviously cold. The serving of potatoes was about 25 pieces spread out on the plate, again cold, as if there were some left in a pan, and someone thought, "good enough." In other words, the food was abysmal, and when I say cold, I don't mean "not hot," I mean actually without heat of any kind. So our bill was $48.97 plus tax and tip. So we actually paid a pretty penny for the experience I just described. We expressed our disappointment in the initial wait, the condition of the restaurant, and the lackluster work performance of the other staff members to our waiter - again the only staff member actually running around and working as fast as he could, picking up the slack of the other two staff members who were apparently there on their days off, and not actually there to work or earn a living. He was extremely apologetic, because again, he actually works there and cares. The two stars in this review are for him. Breakfast Republic, as a chain, has a good reputation, which draws people in. Assuming that this restaurant has management, perhaps they don't. But if they do, the management of this restaurant should be fired. They are dragging down the chain's reputation. If this were a Rotten Tomatoes movie review, it would earn a green splat rating. So much potential, and so little performance. Sad really. read more

I live in Carmel Valley and we have a Breakfast Republic five minutes away, and it's always great. We decided to order Door Dash from their website. I find out the food is coming from Encinitas. I am so pissed off, what are the chances the food will be warm. We try to support the restaurant and they do this. This is just plain greedy and selfish. I would have just drove down the street and picked it up. I have always enjoyed their food and service but no more. Still can't believe the food is coming from Encinitas. GREEDY AND SELFISH. The food came and that was the final disappointment . Ordered over medium eggs, and got over cooked instead. Ridiculous. No quality control at all read more

This spot is busy! I ordered through DoorDash but my order only took 20 minutes before it was ready. It looks like there is plenty of outside seating and they were adhering to COVID Standards and staff were very friendly. Now the food, very good-even as takeout, I can only imagine actually having a meal in the restaurant, I'm sure it would phenomenal! I ordered the breakfast burger that had a brioche bun and to my surprise the bun was not soggy, my over-easy egg was cooked perfectly and the sandwich came with a side of the house potatoes-everything was fresh-tasting and delicious. The wait was very long but the food was amazing and service was excellent. Great coffee and the ginger coffee break was wonderful. Breakfast plates were large & delicious: Steak with chimichurri sauce (I think) and eggs; a scramble of some sort, and cinnamon roll pancakes were all winners. The bacon hash brown wasn't awesome (bacon bits were too small to discern or taste and I prefer my hash browns crispy) and the cheesecake pancakes were meh compared to the cinnamon roll ones. Came into Breakfast Republic today for brunch around 1PM. I ordered the California breakfast burrito which was amazing. The food was all delicious however the service was not. Upon walking up to the front of the restaurant to get seated I was not even greeted by the host. Instead, she looked me up and down and not a single word was said. I proceeded to kindly ask for a table for three and she proceeded to walk us over to our table and rudely almost chuck the menus on the table and turned her back on me as I was saying thank you and walked back. Not a single word came out of her mouth throughout this entire interaction. I noticed that she was acting this way with all of the other parties that were coming into the restaurant. After noticing that she had forgotten to give my table utensils, I asked her if it was possible for us to get utensils. Again, not a single word was said. She grabbed the utensils and again almost chucked them on my table and turned around on me before I could even say thank you. The food was absolutely delicious, but the host was not welcoming whatsoever. She was extremely rude and made me and my party feel extremely uncomfortable. I never write reviews nor complain but this was so bad, I had to speak to the manager. This is not something I've ever done but I have truly never experienced this type of service. read more

I was a little hesitant about this place, being afraid it was TOO over-hyped. But it's not! It was great! I went here with friends for brunch one morning. We all got different entrees so we could share and try different things out. For starters, the manager served us, and he was so nice! We loved the service. I got the bacon cheddar omelette. At first, I thought it wouldn't be stellar because it's just an omelette. I was wrong. The omelette was so fluffy - like I've never seen before! It was packed with ingredients and filled me up so fast. I got gluten free multigrain for toast and loved that they had that option! UPGRADE YOUR POTATOES. The brussel sprouts are amazing!!! My friends got the breakfast hot dogs which were amazing, breakfast Mac and cheese, which is classic, mashed potato omelette which was interesting (I'd pass), and the turkey sausage pesto, which the pesto was AMAZING.
