We waited 30 minutes for our table, then got sat and waited 15 minutes and never had our order taken. We saw table after table that got sat after us get their order taken. I understand places are under staffed right now but this was ridiculous. I also felt bad for our server and the hostesses, so nice and seemed to be working so hard. This is why we typically don't go to chains, stay with the Mom and Pop places. Coffee cups are cool though... (Food was okay...pancakes were dry, scramble was tasty) read more

I loved that there was no wait. We had 6 people. I loved the service, the r-shirts, mugs, and food. I ordered the chicken fennel sausage and made some changes. They accommodated just fine. I asked for fruit in place of the potatoes. They forgot, but still gave me fruit. I passed the potatoes to my daughter. Everyone loved what they ordered! read more

My partner and I are semi-regulars and like to get breakfast there on Saturdays when we get up early enough to get a table without a wait. The whole feeling there with the food, the staff, and the other customers there is a perfect way to enjoy the morning. The staff are always great and I think the food has just something a little different and cool going on with the seasoning and flavors. I'm a veg myself and regularly get the Seasonal Scramble or the Jammin' Benny. I highly recommend the place. read more

My son & I chose this place so we could still have breakfast even tho it was closer to lunch time. The restaurant itself is cute! It wasn't very busy due to it being a weekday. The food was OK, nothing spectacular. Pretty basic. Service was basic as well. I got French toast, & my son got the breakfast burrito. Basic & basic. What bummed me out was how gross the women's restroom was. Super gross! And my son said the men's was gross too! I'm always weary of kitchen cleanliness if the bathrooms are not clean. read more

Decided to have some brunch before heading back home, wasn't busy but still had to wait 30 minutes to get seated (was around 12:00pm on a Tuesday, party of 6). After we got seated our waitress got our drinks pretty fast & our food after. Place looked clean for the most part, other then little crumbs left over from the previous party & a jacket lol I got the chilaquiles. The salsa on the tortilla chips didn't have no kick so if you're a fan of spicy chilaquiles this isn't for you. Could of used some kind of spice though like pepper & salt cuz it lacked flavor a little. One thing I like in my chilaquiles is actual Mexican queso fresco which it didn't have much. The rice was okay & the beans were a little bit hard but not bad. Overall the plate could used more flavor. I also got the strawberry & mascarpone French toast (small order, 1 French toast). You can do a whole order which is 3 French toast. It was a pretty good French toast, the only downside was the strawberries which I found them being too sour. Be back for sure. read more

Second time eating at Breakfast Republic, first time at this location. So glad they have one in North County. Seating, service, and food was awesome! We were seated within 35 min. Luckily we got there before the morning rush. Our server Alanna was super sweet. The food was delicious as usual. Their Ube Latte which is a special item menu at the moment, was super good! Can't wait to come back for our next cheat day read more

Damien provided great service, we will be back! He was on top of food and drinks from the second we got there.

Nice place for breakfast. Food, service and ambience were all great. Sasha took really good care of us.

Overall great service and ambiance of the place. Always good food and you get the same thing every place. Friendly staff.

Due to covid they are only allowing a small amount capacity for inside seating. We only had to wait around 30 minutes before getting a table. They do not take reservations ahead of time, so getting there early is key if you don't want to wait for too long. Atmosphere 4/5 The inside is super cute, decent size room inside. There is a wall of hanging ivy plants, whisks in their lighting fixtures, and portraits of roosters on the wall, this place is very farmers chic. Service 4/5 Our server was very friendly and efficient when waiting on us. He was always on it whether we needed a refill or had a question on what another customer was eating across the room. 4/5 The menu has a good amount of different food options on it. It was nice there's a vegan section on their menu as well. We shared a s'mores French toast order for the table to start. The brûléed marshmallows on top gave the dish the right amount of sweetness. The French toast itself was cooked perfectly, and had a good amount of cinnamon flavor throughout. I ended up going for the Veggie hash and upgraded my potatoes to the Brussel sprout potatoes. Which basically meant the house potatoes cooked with chopped Brussel sprouts, Parmesan cheese, onions and a balsamic glaze. They also come with bacon in it, but I ordered without it. My favorite part of the dish was by far the potatos. All the flavors went so nicely together. The balsamic glaze left a sweet yet tart note throughout the ingredients, and to finish with the Parmesan cheese, my mouth had a party of flavors in every bite. The scramble itself was ok, the veggies (broccoli, spinach, tomato) were cooked perfectly. Broccoli was tender but still had a good bite to it. But the eggs were just a bit more wet for my preference. Plus it was heavily lacking in seasoning, could have definitely benefited from some salt and pepper. My husband got the Chilaquiles, and the rest of our party got the American breakfast. Everyone loved what they ordered. read more

Came here with my son for breakfast and was not disappointed. His eyes lit up at the Oreo pancakes, I believe he did a happy dance after he took his first bite. Solid breakfast place. Not amazing but good. I like getting a side of the crispy Brussels w a poached egg. Ends up being plenty of food and always good. Reasonably priced. They make nice cocktails. If there's a line, sit at the bar. read more

Came here holiday morning and sat pretty quickly. Food is on point with breakfast republic standards. Service was lacking a little bit the day I went. Location is on the end of a strip mall so can be easy to miss. Overall pleased with this spot read more

This place had terrible customer service with a very average menu and kinda bland decor. It felt like they don't like being open on weekdays. The jambalaya was below average, the shrimp had no flavor at all. It'd be nice if they seasoned it a bit at least with some creole seasoning if your calling it jambalaya. The breakfast burrito and rice was probably the most recommend thing on the menu by other yelpers, so I tried it and I thought it was pretty delicious. I wish they had more flavorful/spicy salsa to go with it but it was still yummy. I'm not sure if I'll be back but it's not bad just not one of my fav places or somewhere I'd recommend. read more

Great place, went for Father's day with wife and kids. Was happily greeted while walking up by a lady who welcomed us and told me Happy fathers day! Great start! Great food and drinks. As usual. First time at Breakfast Republic. Brought mom here to try it out with me. We were happy to get our mimosas promptly and the attention of a nice waiter. This restaurant has great options for vegetarians--yay! We split a breakfast burrito with a side of brussels sprouts and potatoes. Very tasty, with plenty to satisfy both of us. I will visit this restaurant again for the french toast! Thank you for a nice morning, Breakfast Republic. read more

This place was an absolute win. Their Valentines special was absolutely delicious as well. This place deserves a five star. We had to wait about an hour to get in, but with the COVID breakout it is inevitable but understandable because the wait was completely worth it. Services and cleanliness was great as well. In addition they allow the use of bathrooms too. So even with the outbreak they do a great job with managing to keep this place going with the outbreak. To add as well they got heaters outside near the chairs to keep the area warm for our winter season. Do not sleep on this place and get out there and get some great food here at Breakfast Republic! read more

How to drive a thriving business out of it.... I've eaten at BR before at Liberty Station, it was great. Encinitas location, not so much.... I notably post pros and cons, honestly can't really think of a pro today. Name in at 10:45 for a 30-45 min wait, 50min later we check and they gave us a table. They had 8 open tables. Obviously not enough staff. We ordered at 11:45, 12:45 no food, no coffee refill. When our food arrived a lovely room temp, clearly had been sitting for awhile. Normally you'd have some cold that was waiting for another dish that would arrive hot/warm.... Nope all 3 entrees cold. As we waited over 2hrs we weee very hungry so anything would have been good, we'll except it was all mediocre at best. Waitress was very nice, and someone gave us a $25 gift card. Which I'll be handing to the next homeless person I see. CLEARLY a management issue. Either they don't pay well or they're a bad person to work for.z either way this location will be closed soon. read more

So good! This hit the spot after a night of partying. The boyfriend had a breakfast burrito and liked it. The burrito included rosemary potatoes, eggs, bacon and a healthy amount of guacamole. It came with rice and beans. I had the veggie tostadas with black beans, a delicious pico de gallo, perfectly fried eggs, cheese, sour cream, and sliced avocado. The tostada crusts were perfectly fried. And came with rosemary breakfast potatoes. I know this is a chain but they're really good at what they do. This location had great big tables for large family meals. Dogs are allowed on the patio. They provided their own brand of hot sauce and ketchup. Even the napkin wraps had snarky messages like, "I'm not yelling, you're just hungover." Service was great, the food was delicious and this was just what we needed on a lazy Sunday morning. read more

I've been to two other locations of Breakfast Republic and to me Encinitas location is so much bigger. Not as tight or tables almost sitting on top of each other. Great location off of Leucadia with lots of parking. Glad we got there before the large parties. It got busy around 915am. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered the the same dishes I always order, Shrimp & Grits with side Jurassic bacon. It was devine and satisfying. Yummy. Matter of fact, the shrimp didn't taste fishy as I have had in the past at other locations. Perfect! Definitely a great weekend breakfast spot for a gathering with family and friends. read more

Interesting avocado toast (with strawberries?!) but delicious. Great service as well.

My update is long overdue. You see, after my less than stellar experience last time, the GM reached out and invited me back for a better experience. I accepted his offer because I know Breakfast Republic can do better. My partner in crime and I decided to enjoy brunch here. Parking is tight as the parking lot is shared with many businesses. We were able to snag a spot. Immediately walking in, the vibe was much different than my first visit. We were seated promptly and greeted nicely by a friendly server. My biggest complaint from my last visit was the quality of the food. I remember our dishes not tasting very good- but this was different. Our brunch was very enjoyable. I've been to the Liberty Station location twice and I can now say this location lives up the the same quality as Liberty Station. A big thanks to the GM for inviting me back and making the necessary changes to have a much better experience. I'll be back! read more

We stopped by the Encinitas Breakfast Republic for a late breakfast. We were only one of two tables occupied. We had a great water who took our order of an omelet and a California burrito. The burrito came out with cold rice and beans. I didn't say anything until we were leaving but asked to talk to the manager who didn't come to the table. Bad business and customer relations. The waiter offered to give us an order of rice and beans to go. He was a hard working guy and deserved a good tip. Retrain that manager BR. read more

This is our favorite breakfast place. We love the variety of breakfast items. We always order a side of Jurassic Bacon - it is killer! YES YES AND YES! Definitely find me coming back here. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing coffee. Our server, Benjamin, was attentive and super sweet! He was able to make suggests off what I like and, because of that, I was able to get the perfect meal I was looking for. I had asked him for a sweeter coffee and he suggested the Breakfast Republic Latte and OMG I never drank a coffee so fast! I also had French toast with strawberries on top (AMAZING) and my boyfriend got the steak and eggs and the meat was super juicy. We also got the Egg Mac and Cheese and my GOODNESS I'm still thinking about it! I'd definitely tell people to get that! The only thing I personally wouldn't recommend would be the cafe de olla. My boyfriend got it and we both agreed it tasted like cinnamon water. Also the wait time was long (1 hr), which how can I be mad at that? We went around 12. The restaurant was amazing and I'm so glad we waited! read more

This place does not accept reservations and the parking lot does not have enough spaces for every business in the plaza. I dropped off my friend to see how long the wait was while I find parking. We were meeting others at 11 and I got there at 1030. We put our names down with an anticipated wait of 30-40mintues, hoping that we would have a table by the time the rest of the party arrives at 11. We waited outside and to my surprise, we got seated 15 minutes later! The inside décor is like a modern black and white farm house with rooster murals and sayings everywhere. They make their own hot sauce, ketchup, and sell their Signature Bloody Mary Mix, coffee beans, , jam, and wearable merchandise. Their serving plates are humongous and are rectangle shaped.   I ordered Crab & Crawfish Benedict. This didn't seem big compared to the other dishes. The sourdough English muffin had a thin layer of blackberry jalapeno jam. Even if you don't like jam you'll love this. Both of my friends got it on the side with their steak and eggs. The hollandaise sauce is gluten free and a ton of house potatoes. I thought I would only eat half but I ate the whole thing! read more
