I've dined here about 3 times, I really wanted to give this place a fair chance because the food is pretty good (when they get your order right) and the location is convenient, but the service has been consistently BAD!! The first visit here, the waiter snapped at me when I asked to repeat my order to make sure he had heard it right. I felt so uncomfortable. I wanted to leave. I have never had a server react that way when asking to verify my order... i figured maybe they were having a bad day and that I would give it another shot. Another incident worth noting was on my last visit here, I ordered coffee and had to ask the waitress literally 4 times to bring my coffee. She rolled her eyes and had an attitude about it, but the food was almost out, and I had already been waiting over 20 minutes on my drink! She seemed irritated and at that point I was ready to just cancel it, as I wanted to drink it before my food got there. To make matters worse I ordered my food with no bacon as I don't eat pork. Everything I've ordered has been delish, but the standout is the breakfast burger. Not only do you have a hearty sandwich with a thick slab of meat, eggs, cheese, and thousand island, but the crown jewel is that they also add some Portuguese linguisa sausage to the mix for good measure. Let's not forget those breakfast potatoes either! Pancakes come in close second and I prefer the original version, but the pineapple upside down are good too, especially if you're in the mood for something sweet. If you're looking to get a wide-range of flavors, they do offer pancake flights for those indecisive folx (like me!) who want a little of everything. Portions are huge and filling and their specialty coffees are fun (they are extremely sweet, so if you prefer less sweet-stick to the basics). They have yummy vegetarian options here as well! It also came with your choice of bread and like that you can pick the brioche french toast as an option. I did do the Jurassic bacon which was had a brown sugar and ginger coating. It was okay, I wished it was more crispier. The only complaint I would have is the service. It took a while to be seated and it was not busy and took a while to pay. This has been one of my FAVORITE breakfast spots that we've been able to go to since we moved to OC. This is perfect for plant-based eaters like myself AND omni eaters (like my husband). Had the shrimp and grits today. Good flavor, but the grits were hard and crunchy. I only ate the shrimps and 1 egg but couldn't eat the grits at all. The server asked me how it tasted and I told her about it. She said that was weird and apologized but I guess that's not enough to take it off the bill. Also, they refused to close the front door as it's their policy to have the door open during business hours even though it's 55° and raining.
