Ordered the chilaquiles and they were absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and bilingual and we were seated and had our food served in a timely manner. Their drink menu includes cold brew from intelligentista. The ambiance in opinion is a bit outdated and could use some renovation read more

Came here for a Saturday morning brunch - waited a bit because it was so busy, but worth the wait. Got a traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon and a pancake. Pancake was light, fluffy delish. Hubby got the eggs Benedict - all yummy! read more

One of my absolute favorite breakfasts is their chorizo hash. Amazing flavors and unique hash mix. I can't order anything else

YUM! This place was just what we needed after early morning travel. We were in town for Lollapalooza and swung by for breakfast. We ordered the Chorizo hash and Dieguito's Benedict (Special Item). Service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. All in all, would happily come back. The food was DELICIOUS read more

This is my go-to breakfast spot in Chicago. My spouse can't go a full month without getting breakfast to go. To put it simply, we love this place. This is our neighborhood joint, so we have never been to any of their other locations. Tried and true, every time. Service is always great and friendly. Most recently we stupidly chose to have breakfast together on Sunday morning, which was Father's Day. Safe to say the place was packed! They were busting their butts and even gifted us a latte on the house for our wait which was so kind. Also, the have intelligentsia coffee so you know the deal. So good. I tried their iced latte while we summed ourselves outside enjoying the beautiful weather and it was just as smooth as the hot coffee. This time I had the breakfast burrito which is a massive feat. It's also grilled and topped with sauce so enough said on that. It hit the spot. Spouse had his go-to, the steak and eggs. I'll be honest it's a little pricey for what you get compared to other places in the area, but that's the only criticism I could ever make on this spot. Their pancakes y'all. Damn. I'm not super into pancakes but theirs blow me away. And their local maple syrup is reason alone to come here. This was a rare occasion on which we didn't order the challah baked French toast and I may have to go back next week to fulfill that craving, because it's hands down the best sweet breakfast item I've experienced in this life. This place deserves all the love, so give them a visit. You can tell them I sent you, but they will be confused as i'm only a known regular in my head. Cheers! read more

Food always super tasty and fresh, especially the chorizo hash! Service staff always friendly, and the location has a great breakfast vibe.

Had a lovely breakfast, staff was friendly and very quick. It was bright and lively filled with families. Love it.

We were able to snag street parking right outside the restaurant but, we also arrived 15 mins after the doors opened on a weekday. The place is on the smaller size and has some fun interior touches throughout the space. We were helped and seated immediately. Our server was pleasant and patient with our dietary restrictions and meal modifications. Cappuccino was sweeter than I would have liked but tasty. Both of our meals were a good-sized portion, and we had the choice of a few different side options which was nice. The egg white frittata wasn't a true frittata it was more like a circle of fried eggs but topped with great tasting veggies! The Mexican burrito was tasty with a nice, slight heat but the sauce was bland. Overall, this place provided a fine meal with nice service in a bright, clean space. read more

Super cute inside!!! Every table has their own quirky salt and pepper shakers. The walls are decorated with super cute cow and chicken and just farm-y stuff and it's soo adorable like I want to take it all home!!! NEXT, that was genuinely the best breakfast of my entire life I was eating like a crazy person and stained my white skirt also pricing was very reasonable! We were planning on going somewhere else but they were closed and we stumbled upon this place and it was such a good experience. Everything happens for a reason and this was super yummy! read more

Breakfast is nice quiet little locally owned place that serves up some really good food. There is definitely a breakfast forward attitude here obviously because of the name and menu choices. I went here with a fairly large group and we were seating in the back room, and although it was lunch time we all decided on breakfast. The server was very nice and patient considering it took us some time to make decisions based on some pretty amazing sounding options. I decided on a the eggs Benedict with a twist special which used an abandon based hollandaise and a piece of fried chicken on top. It was delicious! Everything else that was ordered at our table was top notch from the pancakes to the breakfast sandwiches. Really good food. Not the cheapest breakfast that I've ever had, but the food was all very fresh tasting and portions were large, so I get it. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area. read more

The husbae and I are on our plant based journey and visiting Chicago so we decided we needed to find a good breakfast spot that served plant based food. This establishment was perfect. It's a really quaint neighborhood spot on the corner, with some outside seating as well. The inside was bigger than it looked from the outside. They were quite busy but we were seated right away. We chose to sit inside because it was a little chill in the air outside. Our waitress greeted us quickly and asked for our drink orders. She also asked if we had any questions about the menu, which we had none. We were ready to order so she took our order. I chose the Vegan Cobb salad and the husbae had the plant based chorizo scramble. Both were very tasty. The husbae also had a pancake (not vegan). He said it was perfect. Our server was really nice and attentive and always had a smile on her face. I would highly recommend this spot. read more

A solid place for brunch. The decor is comfy and even kinda classy, plus we didn't have to wait for a table at 11 am on a Sunday. Standard Chicago brunch fare of egg dishes and pancakes, along with Mexican-inspired choices like chiquilates. Highlights: fresh squeezed orange juice was absolutely fantastic, and I was impressed that pancakes were served with a large bottle of real 100% maple syrup. Everything else was solid but not stellar. The pancakes weren't really my style - they were more thin and springy rather than thick and fluffy. read more

Waiting on my vehicle to be maintenanced I came here for breakfast. Scrolling thru bookmarks the chicken sounded good from the reviews. Immediately seated/greeted upon entering and told to choose our own seating. We ordered the chicken & waffles & my friend had the chicken soup which looked/smelled amazing. It took the chicken 20mins to come out which we were advised of the wait. The food was fresh, but to me the chicken was over cooked & too crispy for me. It had a great crunch, good flavor too. My waffle was good as well. Service was a 3.5, low 4. It just seemed to suffice. I probably wouldn't drive an hour to get there. But I may go again if ever in the area. read more

First time coming here and I wasn't impressed. I was unsure if I should order the waffle or crepes and the waitress recommended the Nutella crepes. They looked good except the Nutella was cooked in the crepes so u couldn't really taste much of it. All drizzled on top would've maybe been better. Tried them anyway only to keep finding mushiness throughout my plate. The edges were maybe the only ones without the undercooked consistency. When asked how our meals were I explained I thought they appeared mushy and undercooked throughout and all she said was "that's how they come" and walked away. I wasn't asked if I wanted something different nor was it taken off my bill. Not good customer service in my eyes. read more

This is a place built by someone who loves what they do. It's obvious in the little things. The cleanliness. The art. The fresh flowers. The tables with diagonal legs for easy access. Delicious. I ordered the challah French toast with apple topping and hash browns. The hash browns were cut up into perfectly shaped cubes. They were browned and seasoned just right. The French toast...my mouth waters thinking about every morsel. I didn't even need syrup. But if I did need it, they offer organic locally made syrup. I've been here before this time I brought my dining buddy. She had French toast too, eggs and hash browns. I thought we could share the hash browns but I'm glad I got my own because we both cleaned our plates. read more

What's better than weekend brunch? A delicious weekend brunch with great service, of course! Breakfast House delivered all this on a rainy Saturday morning and made our wet day a little brighter. We walked over a mile in a light drizzle to try this yummy joint, so I had high expectations. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed and neither was my friend! We were seated promptly after being greeted as soon as we walked up. The menu was plentiful without being overwhelming, offering a good mix of omelets, sandwiches, and traditional breakfast dishes. My eggs and meat platter was amazing, boasting perfectly medium scrambled eggs, thick-cut bacon, and a fluffy pancake. I chose for for my side, which was fresh and flavorful. The pancake was served with warm organic maple syrup and was DIVINE! My friend's omelet looked beautiful and was excellent per her report. Prices are reasonable for the city and seating was plentiful, despite social distancing. The serving staff was also very attentive and polite, which made our brunch even better. Definitely recommend Breakfast House for a yummy morning meal. read more

Intimate establishment. All tables were taken but the host, Juan, went far and beyond to make sure we were satisfied while we waited 15 to 20 minutes for a table. This is one of my go to breakfast spots when I am too lazy to cook. The chorizo hash and chilaquiles are my go to. I also love their French toast, drizzled with Nutella and fresh strawberries. Get the chilaquiles! They never disappoint. We have been going here for years and love it!

I was in the area and came across this breakfast place. Now I can't wait to be back !! I was there with my dad (meat lover) and my mom (vegetarian) there was something for all of us. My dad's Steak on the steak and eggs was beautifully cooked to his desired temperature and it was so flavorful. I had the huevos rancheros that were also amazing but I would have enjoyed a little more crispiness on the tortilla (preference) I would definitely get it again and make that request. My mom's egg white dish was really tasty and light. The little corn cakes Yummmmmm!!!! I could just eat them by themselves. Everything tasted so fresh. Service was 10/10. Adriana and her coworkers were Friendly and attentive they would not let our coffee get passed the half empty cup. The ambiance was perfect. I could have a conversation with my parents and it wasn't crazy full. Cozy little place. I wish the restaurant was closer to my house. Can't wait to bring my husband. To try new dishes. read more

Came in for breakfast today and loved my omelette and side fruit and awesome toast! Service was excellent! Coffee was great too!

This is place is by all accounts very good. I had the Chorizo hash and it wasn't bad, but I had a few critiques for an otherwise flawless dish... 1. The potatoes were not crispy, 2. There wasn't enough chorizo in the meal. 3. Too many onions. If these issues were fixed (or even just item 1) this would have been a perfect meal. read more
