First time I came here to try it out it was pretty dead despite the yummy food so I wanted to visit another time when I came back for a work trip and was glad to see it was PACKED! Line moved a bit slow because of that but each person had a big smile on their face despite the pressure on churning out orders which was appreciated. If you've never had poke, it's mainly raw fish marinated and chopped up served over a bed of rice and other things. You can customize it like Chipotle. Despite the Maui reference, this is not traditional Hawaiian poke so as long as you're ok with that, this place is great! I got the #8 Combo Poke which was great. Seafood was very fresh and the sauce was delicious. I also got a matcha boba - pretty well priced and good, boba was chewy and the matcha was a good flavor. Nothing super fancy but priced right for the quality!

We ate pretty early around 5pm, and it was very empty, which was nice because it meant our food came fast. We tried the chicken shawarma bowl and the beef shawarma bowls. The food tasted delicious, but did seem a little less fresh, like maybe it had been sitting for a while, which would make sense because it wasn't exactly prime dinner hour yet, so maybe perhaps left from lunch? Either way, the portions were great, enough to take home leftovers. And the flavor of the meat was superb. They were so warm and kind to our family, especially our two year old. I appreciated the thoughtful touches the staff added to make our dining experience special. It definitely gave the cozy feeling of a mom and pop diner but mediterranean style! I loved it. We will definitely be coming back.

I grabbed chicken salad chick to have for lunch later, right when it opened, and it was super fast. The cashier told me his recommendations and I got the mac and cheese per him and that was so good. We had two servers and both were kind and helpful with taking our order and getting drinks and food out on time! The restaurant is mood-lit and vibey. It's a calm atmosphere and their bar area is stunning. I got the fries and friends, which came with three dipping sauces. This is a very generous portion and my boyfriend and I were unable to finish it between the two of us- would be great to share with 4 people, in my opinion! I also got the Brussel sprouts, which I did finish. They are cooked to perfection and have an incredible garlic sauce. They used to have grapes mixed in, which I LOVED! However, they have since changed the menu. I understand it was an odd pairing and maybe guests didn't want to try it, but it was great!!! Sad to see it change, but still good! My boyfriend and I both got the great rum punch, and it packed a punch! Although l couldn't taste the alcohol on the sweet drink, I could feel it! We had a great time and will be back. We wanted to recommend the charcuterie board, we get it most times we come! They always have fresh and seasonal options they put on the board and have even made a fully vegetarian board for me before, they're great!

Stopped by Whiskey Cake with some coworkers for a quick lunch. I hadn't been in years, but I…read moreremembered that cake. Some people hold onto cherished childhood memories. I hold onto dessert. The menu looked a little different, and the service was really good. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were absolutely wonderful. I don't even like tomatoes, but apparently my objections disappear once you bread and fry them. I have principles. They're just negotiable. For my entrée, I ordered the steak salad. It was okay, but nothing I'd get excited about. The steak was lukewarm, and the dressing was sweeter than I wanted. I prefer my sweets in cake form, which, conveniently, was already part of the agenda. I'd skip the salad next time for the price; I've had better meals elsewhere. But the whiskey cake? Still amazing. Still worth remembering years later. Honestly, I'd come back again and again just for that cake. So my lunch had a strong opening, an underwhelming middle, and a spectacular finale. Thankfully, I'm very willing to forgive a plot issue when dessert sticks the landing.
