Satisfying work week sando spot. I frequent this spot often for a quality and quick sando. They're always filled well with fresh ingredients. Definitely rivals your local deli shop. If I'm not too hungry the half sandwich is plenty too. They are super fast with making them, but you can call and order for multiples. Huge menu with plenty of choices to serve whatever classic sando you're craving. They also carry Zapps chips! I always find that the best sando shops have them. I never in a million years would have known this place was here if not for Yelp. It's in an industrial complex in Tustin. They have an extensive menu including some breakfast items. It's hard to decide what sandwich to get with so many choices. I opted for the Italian. I made it a combo with fries and a drink. They give you a choice here of regular or dejon mustard. I asked for light Italian dressing since most places drown your sandwich and it gets soggy. My sandwich was perfect. Just a hint of dressing and the Dejon mustard was a nice touch. The bread was soft like they have on the East Coast. The fries are crinkle cut. They would be great with chili and cheese. I'll have to check the menu to see if they offer this. There is a bar area, TV's and a pool table. This would be a cool place to kick it and watch sports on weekends, but being in an industrial complex they are closed weekends. Temperature and quality of meat was great. Service was good. Friendly staff. Although the menu has 101 different sandwiches, I have only tried steak sandwich. The steak sandwich is a sandwich made with thinly sliced ribeye steak(thin as bulgogi). As soon as you order the steak sandwich, the chef cook up the ribeye steak on the grill. The steak sandwich comes in 10 different varieties. I have only had the steak, the steak with mushrooms and onions and marinara sauce, and the Wow Whee, or steak cheese, mushroom, onion, green pepper, and marinara sauce. All of the steak sandwiches have been good, although it could use a pinch of salt. Although the menu says that they use marinara sauce for your sandwich, they don't use that much. It is the perfect amount. Any more and the marinara sauce will overpower the sandwich. If you can't make up your mind which sandwich to get, just get the Wow Whee. The steak sandwiches are very good. I still have 98 more sandwiches to try at the Bread Basket. But, why? The steak sandwich is one of the best around. read more

So I came here and ended up trying the steak sandwich with cheese and onions. I also ordered a side of the onion rings. The sandwich wasn't as good as I was expected it to be, but it was still pretty decent. Even though there was a good amount of meat, I felt it would have been better if they stuffed it with a bit more meat, especially on the sides which I felt were lacking. They have a wide variety of hot sauces on one side of the table, the ones that I recall are the Tapatio and the Sriracha. The ranch they had felt a bit watered down and not really to my liking. The ketchup packets they had I believe were Hunt's, and I'm not sure what kind of ketchup they had in the bottles. I thought the peppers they had weren't all that spicy and it tasted like it had been soaking in the seasoning liquid for too long. Overall, I probably won't be back unless I get dragged here or am really craving sandwiches. It's a few steps up above Subway for me, but still not good enough for me to love. read more

Wow! My sandwich was amazing. I'm pregnant and picky but this place delivered! I ordered a grilled ham and cheese on sourdough and asked if they could put lettuce, tomato, and pickle on it with mayo and mustard. It was fantastic! I ate every last bite. The company I work for recently ordered a huge catering order and we were so happy that Bread Basket was able to fill it on relatively short notice. Over 50 sandwiches ( hot and cold), chips, and drinks. The staff was incredibly helpful and seemed very happy for such a large order. I personally had the meatball sandwich and it was really good. The meatballs were flavorful and not too dense, and the sauce was well seasoned. I liked the french roll it was served on, much better quality than a subway roll.
