I've heard good things about BRD and all of the pictures make everything look so tasty so I decided to try it. It was good, a good size portion, nicely breaded chicken sandwich with a special BMore Sauce and pickles. Really good. I will more than likely return for a visit and try one of the other recipes. If you haven't heard of R. House in Remington yet, well you must live under a rock. This spot opened at the end of 2016 to much hubris. There are nine permanent stalls and a spot for a rotating popup. Eventually, I will work my way through all of these stalls on the blog, but I'm going to start with BRD. When my best friend and I ate there, she took a bite, starred lovingly at her sandwich and then proclaimed "I want this to be my last meal." On my first visit, I tried the Bmore BRD. This sandwich (like all of theirs) is two massive fried chicken breasts on a potato roll. The Bmore BRD also is smothered with a delicious mayo based sauce and crisp pickles. The sandwich was a little bit intimidating at first - how do I approach this massive thing?! But one bite and I threw caution to the wind because it was so fantastic, I didn't care about the mess. My boyfriend ordered the Baltimore Bird (fried chicken sandwich with old bay, some type of mayo-y sauce, and pickles) with a side of fries. The sandwich was HUGE. I ate probably a quarter of it and he was only just barely able to finish the rest. He says it was the best chicken sandwich he's ever had, but I personally found it to be a little salty and over-breaded (hence this rating, apparently a matter of personal preference). YUM! My friend lives in Baltimore, and she took me here for lunch on a Saturday. The food was prepared fairly quick, and it was truly delicious. I got the Bmore Bird with fries, and it was awesome. The sandwich is kind of a mess, so get LOTS of napkins!!! It was a really good experience overalls the restaurant is part of a larger building that kind of feels like a food court in a mall, but with much better options. I have been dreaming of BRD ever since I started seeing IG pics of the infamous sandwich. Needless to say I already knew what I wanted before I walked in. The Bmore BRD and fries. To go please. Came up fast and hot. I waited maybe 5 minutes with 2 ahead of me. The sandwich (see also sando) is humongous and the fries come in a paper bag the sandwich is of course complemented wonderfully with old bay and covered in a heavenly sauce and pickles and laid on an unimpressive bun. It is nowhere near as hot as descriptions I have read. I would rate is as spicy like old bay spicy. The fries are shoestring and not anything special. The sando relies heavily on the batter. Heavily. The pieces of chicken that broke off during eating were tasteless. I noticed a mix of white and dark meat somehow. No way to tell how the filet of chicken was cut but it is the size of a side of chicken. It would have engulfed a sub roll. The batter was good due to the old bay or spice in it but ---The sauce on top is what made it all pop. I will say that while eating the sandwich I didn't touch the fries and I was sopping up the sauce with any pieces that fell off. There was nothing left but the wrapper when I was done and I wasn't that hungry. The combo of all the parts makes the sandwich really good. You really don't need fries though it is nice to have them I will def return as they have several other versions of the sando. I would try them all before trying other stalls. The sandwiches taste better than the wings. The wings are pretty small and the meat a bit dry. However, the variety of sauces that come on the wings taste really good. The wings are overpriced for what you get. I tried the Bmore BRD sandwich, and it was good. After a while though, it was a pretty heavy meal (thick, mayo based sauce and of course deep fried meat with a toasted bun) that I didn't want to finish. I think that particular sandwich needs a fresh element to lighten up the heaviness of it. Because of this, if I go again, I'll pick one of the other sandwiches with cilantro or cucumbers. The piece of chicken was extra big, too, so there was left over chicken and no bun left behind. French fries were fresh. You sprinkle your own seasoning to on them. Randomly stopped here on a Fri evening. Cool Food Court set up with a variety of restaurants to choice from. I decided to go with BRD. Nothing negative to say about the food or service, but also nothing that stands out. Comparable to Chik fil et, but BRD's chicken sandwich comes up a little short. There was also a solo guitarist belting out 80s music, an outside seating area for another restaurant (cAnt recall the name) and a bar that seemed to be pretty happening by the time we left around 9pm. The fried chicken are made to order. I ordered the katsu sando. It was hot, fresh, and juicy! The sandwich was huge, I could only finish half and gave the other half to someone else. It had a sweet sauce that I enjoyed, and they butter and toast your buns. I paid about $9 just for the sandwich. There's free water located near the bar. Unfortunately, the concept ended up being far more impressive than the product, as the Bmore BRD that I ordered had far too much fat and breading (which tasted like flour). The pickled daikon and carrot were a bright, crisp complement to the hot, juicy chicken. It was simple sandwich with only cilantro, cucumbers, and chili mayo in addition to the slaw. The R House in general in a great atmosphere and great idea. When you ask your wife/girlfriend what she wants to eat and you get an, "I don't care," take her to the R House. In terms of my experience at BRD it was pleasant. A HUGE portion of chicken for nine bucks, chicken was freshly fried and still pipping hot by the time I sat down. I'm looking forward to returning to try a different sandwich. The majority of my sandwich was dark meat, which was slightly disappointing, but it gave the sandwich a different flavor. Honestly, BRD makes a great chicken sandwich. It's one of my favorite spots in Baltimore to get a consistently good bit to eat. Although, it's on the unhealthy side, the sauce on the sandwich is so good I keep eating it. They give you a lot so I sometimes save half the sandwich and some fries. My issue was that the flavors didn't seem very balanced and the sandwich was very, very much on the sweet side and needed more salt/savory.
