Visited Brasa's accidentally yesterday while walking to another restaurant. Initially we wanted to eat at Texas de Brazil, but the wait time was 4 hours. Luckily, while walking downtown we saw the restaurant. At first it seemed to be closed, but a server saw us looking in and opened the door to greet us. Oh boy were we surprised. The ambiance was great and most importantly it was no wait time. We were sat quickly and warmly greeted by our amazing server Makayla. She was sooo knowledge, welcoming and friendly - honestly treated us like family. We immediately went to the salad bar to give a taste test and was pleased! Once we settled away from that we begin to dive into the meats. We had a few favs such as the flank steak (yummy), garlic beef and the shrimp omg omg omg! Albert came over as well to make sure the visit was going well and we absolutely loved his spirit. He introduced us the the caprini drinks and it was very good and hit the spot - specifically the blueberry! While leaving, the owner thanked us for the visit and even gave my little one a balloon. We loved our experience and will visit again very soon.

For lunch I was amazed at the table service. These guys were on point and checked in you every 2-3 minutes. Fantastic service. One of the best I've seen at a Brazilian Gaucho. The meats are plentiful and it comes out fast, hot, and tasty. Ribeye 10/10- awesome and tender. Picanha 9.5/10- really good and they give you a lot Pork ribs 9.3/10- very tasty. I was surprised at how good it was. Shrimp 8.5/10- good but a little salty Chicken breast 9.5/10- very moist chicken wrapped in bacon. I loved it Wings- 9/10- these were very tasty but no match for the steaks The place is beautiful. See the pics. Very comfortable. Dark like all other gauchos I've seen around the nation. May be the best I've tried, and I've been to many. Would love to try the dinner one day. For the price worth every penny for the tastes and first class service.

I would stop by around 1 pm. Pineapple is so yummy!

Great addition to downtown Houston! If you're a meat eater, THIS. IS. YOUR. PLACE!!! The Meats, meats, and the meats. It's like a gigantic roller coaster of meats and shrimp. You want rare, medium, or well done, they've got it. New Zealand Lamb, shrimp, bacon wrapped chicken, bacon wrapped filet, Parmesan pork loin, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, filet- HEAVENLY, ribeye (HEAVENLY PART 2), garlic beef, beef ribs, salmon, pork sausage, and chicken wings. Potatoes, rice, and the salad bar also come with the meal. All meat is PRIME and holy smokes, you can tell! Parking: don't be worried! There's valet ($8 or $10) Want to do a private party: there's two rooms upstairs! I HIGHLY recommend this place, date night, gurus night, guys night. It's really, really good!!!!! Pricing: lunch $36.50/pp dinner- about $50/pp Waiters: Ask for Julio and Carlos! They'll set you up!

I would give 4 stars because I felt the meat options were limited BUT we can late & last minute so I'm sure that has more to do with our timing than the actual restaurant. Plus, there was a lady who I can assume was in charge in some sense who seemed to be going out of her way to accommodate us. No complaints here at all, would definitely recommend & will be visiting again. Love the atmosphere, great decor, clean & spacious. Everything that I ate was amazing & I thoroughly enjoyed my time.

Just sat down. Looks pretty neat in here.

The staff is wonderful. My husband and I celebrated a little here and I loved the food. The other reviews about this place are spot on so the amount of meats they bring by are a bit less than you'd expect but they're still great nonetheless. I recommend the picanha as it was my fave. Go here

I am a meat lover and a strong believer of you cant go wrong with steakhouses. Hence the second star. However, other than that unfortunately I was not satisfied with the whole experience. First of all, it is in downtown so good luck finding a parking space and expect to pay for it. I happened to have a sprained ankle too so I had to walk for 10 min (5min for a healthy person). Next, even though we were there for lunch and their site said $39.99, we were hit with $49.99 for the full menu. I just checked it again and no where it mentions about $50/person, or that $39 version is limited . If you choose limited option you can buy it cheaper but I was not there to eat 4-5 type of meat where at least 2-3 of them were cheap stuff like chicken and pork. Having said that if you are paying all that you might as well go to Fogo de Chao or similar higher quality places (with parking!) Anyways, moving on, we still ended up getting full menu and let me tell you we were still not impressed. For example, you either love lamb chops or hate it. I am in the lover category but their lamb chop was not even mediocre. I dont know how you can mess that up. Service is good. However nothing about this place felt authentic Brazilian steakhouse, more felt like I was in a Mexican restaurant. I love Mexican food dont get me wrong but I was there for a Brazilian Churrascaria! Salad bar was decent. Again not what I came for.

The service is good with plenty of servers walking around with different cuts of meat - beef, chicken, and pork - and grilled pineapple. My one complaint and why I am giving it 4 stars, is that the grilled shrimp that is mentioned on the menu never appeared in the 1.5 hours we were there. And, I asked the server for the shrimp and he said "uh huh" and never followed through. The Brazilian lemonade is fantastic. Try that. The restaurant is noisy but not so bad like other restaurants. The tables are close but not one on top of another.

It's not a large restaurant, especially compared to some of the other Brazilian steakhouses. The service was good. Overall, we had a good meal. The common theme is that compared to other Brazilian steakhouses, the selection at the salad bar as well as the meat selection is a bit more limited. That said, I enjoyed everything I chose from the salad bar. Regarding the meat selection, there were a couple that stood out: the picanha and the rib-eye were both very good. Everything else was so-so (the filet mignon in particular was pretty tough for that cut of meat). That said, I would rather go to a restaurant that does a couple of things well vs. everything just okay. One thing to note. I don't know how they do it, but the price is significantly lower that their competition (like ~30-35% lower). When you factor that in, this restaurant is quite reasonable for what they offer.

So many men with meats walking around. They cooked my cuts the way I like, medium. While cooking my husband's cuts medium rare. This is probably my favorite Brazilian steakhouse. The meat is cooked so perfectly. My favorite cuts were the ribeye, lamb chops, house special/picanha top sirloin. My husband loved the lamb chops, top sirloin and filet mignon. I really liked the peppercorn on the lamb chops and top sirloin. The amount of fat to meat was perfect for me. I really enjoyed the salad bad too. Eggplant, beets, pineapple; all delicious. As for sides, they had polenta fries, yuca fries?, beans, garlic mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese. The garlic mashed potato was perfect. Mac and cheese was really good too. We were celebrating and let Carlos know, and he brought out a nice cake for us. A sweet gesture. I'd bring friends here for birthdays and Christmas. TMI but was consider coming here monthly when Aunt Flo is in town, since iron stores are depleted. The food was overflowing, almost had to be rolled out of there. Romantic vibe but unfortunately very empty on a Monday night. Id hate to see a gem like this shutter its doors. I liked the music a lot.

The gauchos kept calling me "the Boss," and it was awesome! They joked with me, made me laugh, and made me feel like I was the most important person in the restaurant. The restaurant is really cool because it feels special, but it's also cozy. You don't have to get super dressed up to enjoy an amazing meal. It feels fancy enough for a celebration but comfortable enough that everyone can just relax and have fun. The coolest part was that the gauchos remembered how everyone liked their meat cooked. They would come back to our table with meat cooked exactly the way each person liked it. I thought that was really cool because it showed they were paying attention. My mom's favorite things on the salad bar were the asparagus and the eggplant. I know that sounds funny, but they were really good! My favorite was all the delicious steak with rice. Every time a gaucho came by with another cut of steak, I was ready! The grown-ups also loved the drinks. My mom said her espresso martini was delicious, and everyone said the Kahlúa martinis were really good. Everyone was so nice, and they made my whole family feel welcome. Thank you, Randy, and all the gauchos, for treating me like "the Boss!" We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Houston!

What stuck out with the lamb chops and the lamb shank . it was very tender. Our waitress and waiters were on point about who ordered what drink and what desserts. But for the employees that were going around with the meat was a kind of difficult. It was hard to get the lambs, but maybe they were just out of it so quickly because it was really good. Honestly, next time I would just get the lamb and the salad bar. Make sure to get small cuts of meat because there's been times when I asked for medium, but they will give me rare instead. So if they give you a cut you don't like, you can avoid food waste. I wish they gave us a list of what drinks that we could have. They had lemonade mixed with other fruits, but not Brazilian lemonade that was made with the rind. I don't think my coworkers knew there were an options besides basic soda and sparkling water. Mind you the lemonade mixture was pretty good. It's just sad they do not have the Brazilian lemonade with the rind. Maybe the tables were chaotic but the people next to me and myself weren't able to get our water cups refilled. The tables and chairs were even, stable, and steady . I order the passion fruit juice and tried the Churrasco Gaucho with collard greens and rice. The juice was an 8 out of 10. Not too sweet and a really nice refreshing flavor. I think if it was a little bit colder it would have been a point or so higher. churrasco gaucho was a solid 9 out of 10. It was super flavorful from meat to me. It came with steak, pork, sausage, and chicken. All very very flavorful. The collard greens were a nice surprise. I was concerned when she said they it was fried but it was fried very lightly with olive oil. The flavor was absolutely delicious. And the texture was nice. Not hard not soft just perfectly chewable.. I know that sounds weird but it was. Another nice surprise was the rice. It was literally Delicious By itself. There was a live guitarist/singer playing which was a fantastic vibe. A complimentary basket of four pieces of cheese bread was brought out, excellent way to start the meal! For two people, we ordered: 2x Coxinha (3.5/5): While the chicken is a tad dry, it's complimented well by the creamy sauce 1x Kibe (3/5): Reminded me of a meatball crossed with a falafel, like something you'd order on a skewer. Not too grainy and a nice smoky flavor. 1x Risole de Camarao (4.5/5): I thought this was a better version of the Coxinha. The shrimp flavor really permeates and reminds you of a shrimp risotto in a single bite. Churrasco Gaucho (16oz) (2/5): We decided to get this to sample all of the meats. Unfortunately I thought everything was really salty. Maybe it's characteristic of the Brazilian grilling style, because the smoky flavors did come through, but it just felt too salty for me on everything. Honestly maybe it just needed some kind of vegetable besides beans to help offset. Whatever their chili sauce is (5/5): I have no idea what this is but it reminds me of mashed up bird eye chili sauce..it's really good. Sprinkle it on everything. Helps with the saltiness of things. Milk Flan (4/5): A rich custard style of flan, thick and very sharable. Not too sweet. I liked this as a great palate cleanser. Service was really prompt and friendly.
