We took our vehicle in to get brakes looked at. They made adjustments and sanded down the rotors. Within a few days, their was a sound coming from the front tire off and on. We saw that there were lines on the rotors so we brought it back to be looked at and while they said they could not hear the noise they adjusted some parts and greased an area. Within a few more days the sound was back and we were back at the store. They said that again they made some adjustments and to try it. The sound was back within a couple days as were the marks on the rotor. We brought it back one more time for adjustments to be made. Again, this lasted 2-3 days before the issue was back. At this point we wanted a second opinion and took it to a Firestone dealer. They sanded the rotors down again as there were marks on them again and greased some areas that they said were dry that should not have been. It has now been over 2 weeks since Firestone worked on the car and the issue has not come back. I am very disappointed that I had to pay over $250 at Brakes Plus and ended up taking my car to a different place and paying another $150 to finally fix the issues. We followed up by sending a message to Brakes plus management through their website board that was dedicated for feedback but as of now we still have not had any contact from them. read more

Not only are they polite and professional, but they really and truly did go the extra mile at every opportunity, giving me more even than I asked as the customer--while doing excellent work, timely. I've been bringing our cars here for a few years now, never had a bad experience. That said, I'd like to give Jeff and his team an extra special shout out. I took my Flex in a couple weeks ago for shocks and struts. First of all, Jeff honored a year and a half old quote he had given me when I was in to have my brakes done. I thought that was extraordinary, but that was half the story. Turns out after they installed my shocks and struts I noticed a problem that I assumed was a result of the work Jeff's team had done. I brought my car back and explained the issue. They looked it over and sure enough they indicated that it was in fact an issue they may have caused. They could have easily said it wasn't them and left it at that, but they didnt. They scheduled me to bring it back to resolve the issue. I brought it back and left it on a Saturday morning. Turns out the issue was a bigger issue than any of us were expecting. Jeff never batted an eye, offered me a rental at their cost as they were going to have to keep my car a few days. He and his team bent over backwards to accommodate me and to get my issue resolved. I didn't accept the rental, I had other means of transportation, but it was the offer that mattered to me. I found this location after getting over charged at the local Dodge dealership back in 2010. I have been to this location on several occasions with all my car troubles. From brakes to engine problems to electrical issues, the guys at this location have always come through for me. I've always been greeted with a smile, even on their busiest days. All the work that this location has done on all my vehicles has been great & they cover all their work under warranty. I have shopped around, but I just cannot find another place that I Trust & that will not over charge me. I highly recommend this location, especially if you live nearby. They have always given me rides home, & when they have time they have even picked me up from home to give me a ride back to the location when my vehicle was ready for pick-up! You just cannot beat this place when it comes to quality of service, warranty, parts, prices, & the customer service has always been good to me. On one occasion I was out of town & my wife was stranded on the side of I-70 with car trouble. There was a blizzard & my wife was all alone getting colder by the minute. I called this location & they assured me that they will take care of my wife & get the vehicle taken care of for me while I was working out of state. They really do care, & they kept to their word. My wife was rescued via tow truck, she even got a ride to work safely. The vehicle was repaired & my wife was back in her vehicle in no time. All the while I was unable to help my wife due to my absence being out of state. All thanks to this Brakes Plus location for taking care of us. I am truly thankful. This place was great! We took our car in last summer and ha brakes worked on. Turned out to be a lot money than we thought but the car has been great since. We took it back a few months ago to get a fuse checked since some lights weren't working all the time. They got us in right away and we were able to pick it right back up. Guys are rude, they argue with you? If you set an appointment it means nothing? When you ask questions about the work they say you need they will give you a sarcastic response. When I brought my noisy brakes (they installed) the front desk guy told me to read the sign in the lobby??? He said its normal for brakes to make noise, which i get but when its this loud somethings wrong. After 2 hours of inspecting they are saying its my parking brake or maybe i have semi metallic brakes... I Todd them the only way that would be is if they lied to me because the did them????? Worst place ever! Should have listened to the other post.... Never coming here, would not recommend it to anyone, if I could give a negative star I would. read more

BEWARE the "Free" brake check!! They "Checked" my brakes, disassembled them, and then told me they could not release the vehicle back to me without repair. They wanted over $700! If you find yourself in this position, get your car towed to another shop. All the work that they did HAD TO BE REDONE BY ANOTHER SHOP. They also rearranged the front end to get me to have that fixed there, too. They manager is very friendly and quite a nice fellow to deal with, but the work is shoddy and their business tactics are extremely sketchy. read more

I made an appointment to get my brakes replaced. My appointment was at 10 a.m. I dropped off the car and they asked what time I'd like to pick it up. I scheduled my pickup for 4 p.m. When I came by to pick up my car they said it would be 20 more minutes. My car wasn't ready till 5! That's ridiculous! It doesn't take 7 hours to replace brakes. Furthermore, why ask for an appointment for drop off and pick up when your not going to honor those times? read more

Then he said, it's going to take an hour two or more. I said hell no, then whats the appointment for? He said the computer doesn't factor in the amount of time they spend on each car...n the way he said was sarcastic with an attitude....then he said ok, we will start on it now...horrible, expensive quotes for something probably not even broken or need replacement. read more

Went to this brakes plus to have my brakes looked at as I was about to drive through Wyoming in the winter.. They found the the squeeky noise was just a result of the dust cover rubbing on the rotor and they fixed the parking break that was too loose. They stated that everything was in proper working order when I picked up my truck. The very next day while driving through Wyoming the caliper on the wheel that was making the noise.... FELL OFF THE TRUCK. No joke. The bolts were gone and the only reason I didn't loose the caliper all together was that it was dangling by the hydraulic hose. I had to be towed to a dealer to have the bolts replaced in the middle of my trip. When I went back to speak with Jeff, the manager, in addition to threatening to call the police and have me removed denied any responsibility whatsoever. So after much discussion Jeff agreed to send my issue over to corporate. Corporate called to tell me that they are not responsible for the accident due to not having done the brake job. Apparently, a safety inspection including a visual survey only. The fact that two very long bolts critical to the brakes functioning properly were loose enough to fall out the next day was something that would not be picked up in this visual inspection. Needless to say, Brakes Plus and I are not seeing eye to eye over the issue of what does and does not constitute a safety inspection. Regardless, what they consider acceptable could leave you and your family in serious danger when one of your calipers falls off the next day. Thus far I am extremely UNIMPRESSED with the Brakes Plus response to the incident. read more

Called in about needing a back tail light replaced and asked how long the wait was bc I would have 2 small kids with me. I was told to come in and they would get to me right away. I was there within 15 minutes. The guy behind the counter went out to test all my lights with me. Within 10 minutes it was fixed and I was out the door. Even better - NO charge!! I usually work on my car myself but anything like an alignment that I can't do (or oil changes in the winter when it is freezing!) I take here. They are always nice and respectful and I am never taken advantage of as a young woman. I have been to many other shops where they think I am some clueless girl and hand me that "list" of stuff that has to be done soon that usually isn't even real, I luckily know enough to call them out on it. These guys have never done that to me and it's nice to not have to worry about that when I have to take my car in. Thanks so much guys, keep it up. The staff at this location lied to me and tried to nickel and dime me for every penny. I had a coupon for a free oil change with air conditioner service. When I brought the car in the staff tried to hide the $50 charge of freon. I asked them about the freon charges and thankfully learned of the charges before they could rip me off. Then after doing the check on the air conditioner system they told me I need a new air compressor and it would be $990 to fix. I had reservations after the freon incident so I decided not to proceed with that repair and I went and picked up my car. When I got the bill they charged my card for the oil change, when it was supposed to be free. After questioning that it was obvious this charge was intentional and they did not forget the coupon. They were just trying to rip me off for another $26.99. After getting the car home I questioned that the air compressor was even bad. After doing some research and diagnostics it does not appear to be bad and likely just needs freon. The experience was horrible and i would recommend that no one ever take their car there. They are slimy, dishonest and will try to get every penny out of you. read more

I came in with a 1967 Ford Galaxie. I needed some drum brakes replace and these guys were able to complete it phenomenally quick, at a lower cost than another auto shop. Not only was their service of tier quality, their manager is truly amazing. I can call the place with a question and get an accurate mechanical answer with confidence. I went in for a new battery. The Service Guy (not Jeff, who I really liked in the past) offered to test the battery before replacing it. I just happened to ask if there was a fee to test it. And he said, "Yes! $15." Really, $15 for about 3 minutes of time? This has always been included in the cost of the battery, and I would know as I purchased batteries before at this store. I said to not test it and just replace it. If I had not asked about this, it would have been performed and I would have been out $15 which is about 15% more of what the battery and labor would cost. Then, they do not pass on the recycling refund of the battery. They collect and keep it. And they charged me a fluid/waste disposal fee. Which means that they are basically double dipping on the recycling of the old battery. When I questioned the disposal fee, I was informed that ALL services included that fee regardless of whether or not it was utilized. My vehicle is not that old and my battery/terminals were not corroded. It was an easy battery replacement. That just doesn't sound legal to me. How can they charge for something that was not performed (fluid waste disposal fee)? I have always liked this store, patronized it for many years (probably about 15 years!), and would have considered myself a loyal customer. However, I feel that things have changed. This store is into fine print and undisclosed fees. Buyer - BEWARE! They were not upfront about the service I was about to have. I had to ask a lot of questions and still paid for a disposal fee that was unfair. read more

I took my classic 1978 Lincoln for air conditioner issues the advisor called back with a price said compressor is bad . He quoted 750 I said go ahead next day he called back and claimed he couldn't get the part after all . I asked well how come you quoted a price then he wouldn't answer all he would say is "its a 40 year old car over and over" I am thinking they just changed their mind about wanting to work on it . I then took it to Big O they had all the work done in one day and they and every other shop that I called had any problem getting the part . I have been taking my daily driver cars here but after this I don't want anything to do with them . I will be taking all my cars elsewhere read more

This is a terrible place to get your car repair. They don't know what they're doing! I just took my car in to get the valve cover gasket replaced and it took all day till closing to complete the repair. I took the car home and the next day noticed a large oil puddle under my car. The leak definitely got worse so I took it to a dealer to properly fix it since I don't trust brake plus anymore. The dealer said that there was a tear in the valve cover gasket which they had to replace. The leak was repaired and I took the car home with no more leak! Obviously, brakes plus tech. did not replace the valve cover gasket which was originally estimated for them to do; instead they created a tear in the valve cover gasket causing more oil leak!! After I got the car completely repaired by the dealer then I went and told the owner of brakes plus the situation and he claimed that the dealer "Lied" as to the leak was from the valve cover gasket! Ridiculous! I just can't believe this business is still standing!!! The business is registered with the Better Business Bureau so I'm in the process of resolving this issue with them. IF YOU NEED CAR REPAIR DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY!! read more

DO NOT USE this place!!!!!!went to Brakes Plus for brake pads - they told me my rotors also needed replacing - this at 29k miles on my fairly new car. I paid it. The day after I got it back the grinding sound was horrible. Took it back and they admitted brakes pads had been put on backwards. They "fixed it." Driving it after the "fix" the brake pedal felt too loose - and finally went to the floor and I had to pull off and roll to a stop. Turns out they had accidentally cut the brake line and I was losing my brake fluid. My kids were in the car with me and I shudder to think what could have happened. I demanded a refund which they refused. Complete jerks. They fixed the brake line. Flash forward less than 10k more miles and my brake pads - apparently they use the cheapest around - have pretty much disintegrated. I'm having real mechanics do my brakes this time. This place is a complete waste - of your money and your time. I wouldn't trust their work for anything. read more
