This was the most inconvenient and waste of money. I originally came to this establishment due to the fact that there was no waiting and a quick service was going to be applied. I had purchased the premium oil due to my car being new and I was recommended it was the best option. After a 30 min service and retrieving my Vehicle my sensor alerts me that my back tire was low thinking it might just be the air pressure I asked if they checked the tires considering it's one of the steps they take when inspecting your car. I was responded with " maybe, we should of " you could see where I was baffled then realizing there was nail stuck in it. I was shocked they were gonna allow me to drive off and not saying anything and even more shocked at their actions afterwards. After pointing out the issue I as told "oh sorry I'm not sure how that got there but we don't patch tires." And basically walking away with no remorse. I am livid at the fact that I came in for an oil change and I'm leaving with having to change a tire. Even more turned off at the fact that the staff had no empathy after charging me $100 for absolutely nothing but an oil change. Took my 2019 Chevy Cruze in for a regular oil change and nine days later my car is smoking and won't even start. Check the oil, it is BONE DRY. Had it shipped to the grease monkey so they could look at it the following day. Initially, they didn't know what the problem was and thought that maybe the filter or plug wasn't tight enough. Turns out I had a hole in my cylinder for because the motor broke. Went straight through the oil pan. Now, I'm no mechanic but I know that if the motor breaks due to overheating the oil might have been too low. I also know it's no coincidence my car breaks down nine days after getting service at Grease Monkey when it was just running fine. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Still, with all that being said, the thing that made me the most angry and upset is their lack of accountability for the entire thing. One of their responses, and I quote was, "unfortunately, sometimes these things just happen." I was told I would get a call from the owner, still haven't heard from them three or four days later. I took a leap of faith by trusting the reviews and ended up getting screwed in the end. Caleb and Dana were the only ones nice enough to try to help me and give my recommendations on what I should do. If you want my advice, it would be to avoid Grease Monkey and just take your car to the dealership. A lesson I had to learn the hard way. read more

I've been going to Grease Monkey for the past few years with no problem. Well in the past couple months, my daughter and I have had a similar experience with them. My car didn't have any oil leak at all, I took it in for a simple oil change, came to pick it up and they tell me I have a major oil leak. My daughter went in a couple days ago, same thing. When it happened to me, I thought ok, it's just something that happens to older cars, mine is a 2008. But when it happened to my daughter also, there's something wrong. I liked going there because it was cheap and quick, but none of their staff are or claim to be certified mechanics. Now, I've had to learn an expensive lesson and with another child on the way, it was not worth it. Don't trust your car here, go to a real mechanic. read more

Okay... so I was totally blown away by my experience today! The level of customer service and kindness was absolutely Stellar!! From the second I walked into the door to the surprise when I drove away. Made my entire day! First they are knowledgeable, walked me step by step through the entire process and what was included. Then after my service was completed they walked me through the status of everything they checked. The only downfall was my air filter type wasn't available, but that wasn't that huge of a deal after everything else positive that they did. Didn't dampen my experience. At the end of it all, they left a flower on my dashboard. Price is great for what you get. Keep doing what you guys are doing. Great service but the woman with long brown hair at the front desk had me crying all the way home!! I didn't understand a service she was talking about and she was acting like I was complaining when I simply didn't understand because I am absolutely not knowledgeable about cars. She asked a guy to explain it to me and he got huffy with me "I absolutely explained it to you before - you deal with it". I asked, "is it the thing the guy said was black and needed to be serviced? Would take five minutes? That thing?? Great! Charge me!" Once I understood, she had pissed off everyone for me when that was not my intention. This woman needs another go around at how to talk to people. She made me feel like an idiot and I cried all the way home. Not coming back if I see her there. Everyone else was lovely and knowledgeable except this woman who said to the man I had never been talked to about this which I never said happened. I've had it to grease monkey a couple times to get my oil changed on my car. One time they said it had an oil leak. So I took it to another reputable place and they checked it and said it was not oil leak. Took it back recently and they said there was there was an oil leak and I said no I took it to the place and they said there was no oil leak it's like they are calling me a liar . They claim they had filled all my fluids and couple days later I checked my windshield washer fluid and it hadn't been filled like they had claimed it had been the radiator fluid was low and when they brought out the filters, how do I know that the ones I had brought out were the ones actually from my car because you don't see them actually take them from your car but they claim that they're the ones that are in your car so I think, it's Jess and then they bring you the sheet that says all this stuff needs to be done on your car and it's overdue. I like to scare you with all these things that need to be done on your car. They said my battery needed to be replaced and I haven't had any problems with it starting. Don't know that I'll return ever to this grease monkey again. I love how the staff kept their words when they said it'll be quick for an oil change! We're just visiting Denver, Colorado and needed an oil change before heading back home. Checked and called few car shop for the job but all we got was rude service and they go by appointment. I understand the "by appointment" part but being rude to any paying customers?!? That's how you lose customers. We called this place and told us they can accommodate us same day, and it will only take 30-45 mins. Alright, this is obviously not their flagship store. It's in an old building in a strip mall where businesses go to die. But here they are, still going strong. Why? Service! I pulled up and was waved to the correct bay by a smiling gentleman. Not a lot of smiling people at 8:30 in the morning. But there one was, making sure I got where I needed to be. I got out of my Jeep and another gentleman came over and we discussed what we should do for my beloved Jeep. I left and they went to work. I wandered around the strip mall of death. As I was browsing at the pawn shop (hey, I didn't sugar coat it. This is not an upscale strip mall) and my phone rang. It was the second gentleman and he wanted to do something with the oil. I told him to go ahead. He thanked me and hung up. Then I came back to Grease Monkey. Like I said, it's not the snazziest place. Simple, slightly uncomfortable chairs. They have coffee and candy for your morning pick me up. The bathroom was spotless and has a water saver toilet. Very eco. The waiting area is perfectly fine. It doesn't have any real amenities, but it is super clean and smells good. You know how car places are. They sometimes smell like cars. And oil and gas. But not so much with Grease Monkey. Fuckin' Grease Monkey. The bad overpowers the good of this location. When I walked in for an oil change, the guy asked me if I wanted high-milage or regular, to which I responded "high milage". As we waited my mechanic came out with a real New York attitude and told me my air filter was toast. "I'm not gonna tell you you gotta spend fifteen bucks, but seriously." I guess I was supposed to fax this guy an approval letter before we arrived. A new air filter and an oil change advertised at $36.99, but I hade a $5 off coupon, I'm expecting $45ish dollars at check out. Then I go up to pay after about 20 mins or so and the total is $75. I blurted out in a puzzled state "That seems high." Luckily the manager, who was very nice and personable, took an additional $5 off on the spot, saying "I never did quote you a price, I appologize." I was really bummed that he didn't tell me upfront because I was broke and had I known the high-milage oil would be twice as much, I definitly would have purchase the plain oil. But as I accepted my fate, I paid it and left. I'm not saying I wouldn't go back. The manager really was a super nice guy who took the time to talk and joke with us and he gave me a discount as well as a coupon for future use. I made the mistake of thinking that my normal oil change place would be able to take me as a walk-in on a Monday morning, but called and found out they were booked solid. Oops. So The Boy and I decided to hit up the Grease Monkey next to our house instead. Service was very friendly, though the manager did get a little alarmist on the "here's what else you need fixed" list. Even with two $10 off coupons the total for two cars was almost $70, which is much, much more than my bargain-hunting self is used to paying. There were some nice extras, though: they topped off all fluids, vacuumed the interior, did the windows, and left a carnation on my dash :) Overall, I'd say if you like the convenience of no-appointment oil changes and can afford the niceties, go for it! If you're like me and just need a bare-bones, bottom dollar service, Grease Monkey probably isn't the best way to go. read more

So my review is based on the free oil change we received today for Veteran's Day. The oil change normally would have been $45, which is a little pricey for a standard oil change, but with a coupon it would be a great deal! All the employees that we interacted were very friendly, even considering that the place was extremely busy. Good customer service skills are key in my opinion, and these guys have them! Even though this place was packed full of veterans getting their free oil changes, we were in & out pretty quickly! The mechanics seemed to know what they were doing and we left this place having a smooth running car. Also, we left with a vacuumed car. I was having a very bad day due to another issue and realized I had to get an oil change for my Toyota. I was helped immediately by the manager and he also showed me that I needed my transmission fluid changed. They did that for me promptly and showed me the liquid before and after which surprised me because it showed how dirty my transmission was. Anyways, this location was a great surprise. Wow, wish I could give this place 0 stars. If you want to be ripped off, given the run around, and charged extra for something that is cheaper at an auto parts store; this is the place for you. I have spent over $250, including $110 for an oil change. For $110, you would think that someone would top off your oil for free. Think again, $8 per quart for a top off. Even if your manufacturer details 1 quart of oil per 1000 miles. It's even worse if Nate is around and the owner is not because he decides that he runs the place like he is the owner. He acts like he owns the place and makes his own rules up. When asked to contact the owner, he said I could not.
