I would not recommend this place to anyone. I went in for regular maintenance--just a wheel alignment. After the alignment, a new issue started: noise coming from the front driver-side tire. I went back to the shop, and they told me the stabilizer bar needed to be replaced. They charged me for the stabilizer bar and promised the noise would be gone. However, the sound is still there while driving. This was a waste of both time and money. The original problem was never fixed, and I ended up paying for unnecessary repairs. Honestly they exceeded my expectations, our vehicle was looked at quickly and the price was so cheap compared to the dealership!! HORRIBLE! Since the new management took over, it has been nothing but downhill. We used to take all of our cars here for many years and had amazing service. Since the new management, they have told us on three separate occasions that they have completed tire rotations when they have not. The last time they did a oil change/tire rotation my husband wasn't even sure that the oil had actually been changed without checking it My son also brought his car in with a check engine light on, and they broke his clutch while moving the car because they didn't know how to drive a manual and then completely denied that they caused the damage. They took advantage of a 17-year-old kid. We have left and will never ever go back unless we need warranty work done. read more

I've always done my own oil changes, but with little kiddos and busy weekends it's just too much right now. I called up BP to see if they could fit me on for an oil change same day--they said come on by and it'll be done in a couple hours. Front desk service was prompt and friendly. BP had my oil changed within an hour and didn't charge me the extra two quarts of oil my truck requires. Since they're within walking distance from my house, I'll be taking my vehicles to them from now on. read more

Made appointment on 10/9/24 for an alignment at 3:30. Arrived on time and told another car not finished so I had to return at 4:15. Arrived at 4:15 to be told other "walk-ins" were ahead of me, so I needed to wait approx 2 hours, or leave my car with them. I complained that I had an appointment but was told by (not Chris) that they couldn't anticipate service delays so I had to wait or re-schedule. I have been their customer for years and never been treated so rudely and without consideration for me. I'm looking for another place to get my car serviced. read more

My mom got her breaks replaced this weekend. She was in town from Montrose and had to drive back today. She was driving for about 150 miles when her front end started shaking. She was going 30 MPH on the highway and her car was shaking profusely. Come to find out Breaks Plus did tighten the lug nuts on her front left tire! She was trapped on the highway with no cellphone service hours from home. She walked to a campground where someone allowed her to use a landline to call for help. When AAA arrived they literally tightened the lug nuts with their fingers they were so loose! I am grateful nothing worse happened to her, but my mother was put in serious danger by Breaks Plus negligence. read more

There is a service advisor, I think his name is Keith, he is some shady. Had coupons for break pads and break flush. Can't add the coupons " corporate policies says they need to presented before service". So even though the employees know there is a coupon out there for your brake service they will not voluntarily tell you that you. You have to do the legwork with other repair shops employees will automatically give you the coupon upfront whether you know there is a coupon or not. Not interested in taking care of the customer. they want the profits. read more

People were kind. But the quality of work has suffered. Been going to this brakes plus for 20 years and for the past 2-3 they have not been up to par. Got an oil change done and they couldn't even put on the skid plate properly. Fell off immediately as I got home. They were quick to fix it but about a week later something came loose and the car wouldn't start. No it wasn't the battery. I had a mechanic come out and figure out what was wrong. The mechanic told me he thinks that they messed up more then I realized at the time. I won't be returning to this brakes plus. read more

These guys have taken good care of us for 15+ years. Recently we had extensive A/C work done on the compressor and condenser of an older model Oldsmobile but there was still a problem with the little switch to turn on the AC on the dash. Dennis said he felt bad that, after the extensive and pricey work, it still wasn't working right because of this little part. He said he would search the junk yards for the part (older model part not available online) and get it fixed for me. Honestly, I was skeptical but a week later he called, said he found it, and didn't charge me for the part or labor. That's a rare example someone keeping his word. Thanks Dennis. Bunch of crooks. Took car in and left it for them to check a squeaking sound - it had made a couple of weeks earlier thought it might be the brakes. After being told that they might not get to it that day - and a run around. They finally got to it. Then I was told it needed a tensioner and had a oil leak. A tensioner on a 50K Jeep GC is not normal and almost $200.00 for a die check for the leak is not either. Grabbed the car and took it to 2 other places. I am going to have to downgrade my rating for Brakes Plus. After several good experiences here, I took my Murano in for its 15k service. We made and appointment and they did the service. They didn't call to actually tell us it was done, we had to call. We ended up picking it up at the end of the day since we were waiting for the call. As I drove it home I noticed the engine was extremely loud on acceleration - definitely a problem that didn't exist when I dropped it off. When I got home I found a piece on the floorboard (plastic cover type thing). At this point it was too late to bring it back so we came back Monday (the next day they were open). First, they gave my husband a hard time saying they didn't hear anything and it was likely not their fault anyways. After driving around with the hubby, they determined the problem and fixed it. The only reason they get 2 stars and not 1. I won't go back. There we several people waiting and complaining that their cars had problems that did not exist when they dropped it off. Really bad service and obvious unskilled labor. I won't go back. 2 stars is being generous. read more

So I brought in the wife's car to get the 15K maintenance on it. Dropped it off on a Friday night like usual and they called me at 9am Saturday to tell me one more thing that would be an added expense, which was fine, and that it'd be done in a couple hours. At 3pm I finally called them back and they said it was done. Immediately after picking it up we noticed that the car didn't sound right and there was an extra vent piece on the floor of the cab. Okay... Called Monday morning to take it back at 4pm and the guy said they'd fit me in. When I got there they took it right back (altho it took forever for them to do anything to it). While I was there 2 other people came in to complain about things wrong with their car that Brakes Plus had done. Not a good feeling. The guy came out and said they couldn't find anything wrong and didn't know what I was talking about. I told him that it was making sounds that it wasn't before and that it needed fixed. He asked if I wanted to go out with him for a drive and I said sure. He immediately heard the sound and tried to give me som lame-ass excuse for it and then when we got back to the garage he popped the hood and said "Oh, here it is". They hadn't put the air cleaner cover back on all the way after the maintenance. Geesh, will not be back. read more

Brought my car in on a Saturday morning with no appointment. I knew there was going to be a decent amount of work that needed to be done since I had coolant explode all over the bay during the week. Jeff was extremely nice (he's always super helpful and knowledgeable) and took my car in with no problem. Mike called me a couple hours later and was transparent with me about the price and work that needed to be done. I appreciated his honesty and luckily, the damage wasn't as bad as we thought it could be. These guys work hard and this location is usually pretty busy. The team at this BP location deserves a solid A+. Jeff and his team have see all of my family's cars for years for regular maintenance and repairs. Solid work, fair prices, but most of all the people. The people who work here make the biggest difference. My car had lots to be worked on, so it was in the shop for most of the day. The ride back home and to the shop were really helpful! By the end of the day, the whole team greeted me by name, and that made a really positive impact on me. During my most recent visit, I was mostly helped my Anthony and Justin. Anthony took the time to actually sit down with me and really helped me understand which repairs were a priority and how the car parts functioned together. I do not recommend this location at all. I came to this location this morning to get a quote on lower ball joints and an alignment. Stood in the front waiting area for almost 20 minutes. Not a single person helped me or asked if I needed any help. They did see me from the back area and just ignored me. Twice a mechanic walked right past me with a work order in his hand and did not say a work. I left. Thought I would give them a second chance since it is so close to my home, I called to get the estimate. Someone answered and took my information of what I wanted an estimate on and said they would call me right back with a quote. That was 8 hours ago, no call. If they are so busy they don't need my business I am happy to oblige. I will never try to use them again. Thanks for making my choice easy. read more
