Today was my first experience for my regular oil change/ service of my automobile, and was very disappointed with a few things, such as; Television is broken for some time, I would think they'd want to cater to customers especially the many loyal ones as me. Lobby was dirty and the only side table was not clean. A 3% fee for using credit cards for service. The service was extremely expensive, 30%. Not happy with who's running this facility. So I went to test drive a used 2019 dodge grand caravan. I was able to pay for the car in full (still am) And was looking forward to be going home with my new family car for me and my 3 kids. The car was listed at 15,700 which is reasonable since it had over 70k miles - BUT i noticed in the CARFAX history that the transmission was never serviced (usually done at 60k) so i knew right away that would be something I'd have to do out of my pocket as soon as it was purchased. - now I didn't understand WHY they wouldn't just have the service done BEFORE having it for sale on their lot considering there if there's literally a SERVICE CENTER & it would ensure the quality of the vehicle for sale. SECONDLY I went drove all the way to Long Beach after being reassured that it is a quality vehicle (very false advertising) and when I arrived I test drove it and found that there was an extremely obvious clunking noise coming from the bottom of the vehicle in the rear and is Makes the whole Van feel very unsafe the entire time it's moving. - again THERES A SERVICE CENTER THERE - WHY WOULDNT THEY JUST FIX THAT!!! And third they couldn't guarantee or show me that there was in fact a spare tire on the bottom - and based off the YouTube tutorials the vehicle was definitely missing essential hardware to access the spare which would 100% not be safe if ANYBODY where to be stranded and need to access it PLUS there was no book/ manual in the glove compartment for me to reference either. Now the last thing - is that when you open the trunk the whole lining that is attached to the plastic that seals the rear/ trunk door shut is just completely torn away and thrashed AND the part it was connected to is just cracked. NOW AGAIN THERES A SERVICE CENTER RIGHT THERE and they could've fixed it very easily before having it for sale considering they'd have the tools and resources to do so But instead of even offering to have these things fixed the salesman BILL just kept mentioning now I can have a mechanic do this or that or how MYSELF could go get it fixed.... Like are you for real? You think I want to purchase a car with loads of problems !? And the worst part is that he didn't understand where I was coming from and he definitely didn't hear my concerns as something a DEALERSHIP should be accommodating in order to make a sale... I was so disappointed that it was not at all what it had appeared to be in the photos and it does not look worth 15,700$... And to make matters worse another sales man Jesus came to tell me about a Chrysler Pacifica that was COMPLETELY out of my price range which I was mentioning several times but he INSISTED on having it shown to me. And I decided to wait outside for them to bring it out and show me and after 20 min went by - NOTHING! My dad went inside to see what was taking to long and Bill was just standing there so my dad apologized and let him know we were just going to leave. Horrible experience. Go to Caruso instead!!!! Very disappointed in the service team. When I walked in through the doors no one bothered to greet me or check me in when I arrived. The overall vibe from the staff that works there is that they most likely hate their jobs. Everyone that works at the service center has a bad attitude, I am better taken care of at the Caurso location up the street. They offer more of a white glove service compared to the staff at this location. My advice to the owner: please provide customer service training to your staff. BH Ford nice and friendly when you are there in person but their terrible phone etiquette and insidious sells tactics targeted towards older adults is quite disheartening. Also, please sell cars that are clean and serviced. Now I know my mother is at fault for buying a car with only having Social Secuirty as her only source of income. But we also know that older adults go through something when they age and they can be very vuneralble to being scammed and making deals that are to their detriment. My mother reports: I purchased 8/13/2023 a 2019 Honda Fit 3HGGK5H49KM721531 from BH Ford (562) 270-1022 On 8/14/2023, I turned on the car the engine sounded like a small explosion and the breaks were squeaking. Because she do drive on the freeway, my daughter could not take me back to the dealership until 8/17/2023 where I was told by Scott Ross (who works in the service dept) that he would need us to leave the car overnight. We left and I came back to drop off the car to stay overnight on 8/22/2023 and never received a call to get an update on the car. I caught the bus to the dealership on 8/30/2023 to pick up the car and the Cam and the oil is pooling on the top of the engine and this would take $1,000 to fix. I was given a 2 page service report where several services received "fail". I did not document the dates I reported this to Joseph and John. But they seemed to be empathetic to the situation, however they didn't offer any help or solutions. Their tone changed when my daughter made calls to advocate that my contact be amended because there were many add on to the car. Written by Mattia: I spoke with Joseph and asked if these add ons can be removed and he went to explain how great these features are and I reported that my mom cannot even use the Elos GPS because she doesn't know how to Isengard her phone. He kept saying "it's (Elos GPS) on her phone...she has to download the app" so this is another lie, she did not download the app and doesn't even know what an app is. This is commentary. I did not state this to John. I asked can we get these ads ons removed and he said " well she'd have to break the contract" I asked "how do we do that?" He seemed annoyed at this point and stated "I don't know what you want me to tell you" I asked, "can we just return the car" he said, "Well you would have to talk to someone in finance and I get your contact and connect you with someone" at this point I could tell he was trying to get me off the phone and before he could I asked, "Who is this someone?" He says, " Well I don't know if she talked to (mentions two names, but I couldn't understand) says John's name, and I reported that is the person who sold the car to her and then he said he could connect me with John. I spoke to John and went reported that my mom would like the add ons. John reported that he doesn't know who I can contact and that he's only been with BH Ford for 2 weeks. I asked who John's supervisor was and John stated it was the Finance director Shawn. I asked for the phone number and John was apprehensive about giving a phone number. When I asked for Shawn's number again, I was given the extension: x1250. I called BH Ford again at 562-270-1022 and spoke with Shawn and asked if all these add ons listed below can be taken off. Shawn like John and Joseph, mentioned that my mother was accompanied by 2 other people and "they all understood" the add-ons. Shawn also reported that this Honda Fit was priced well. I reported that there are other Fits on the market for lower prices and the price advertised on the website was different from the price on the contract. Shawn dismissed what I said and reported the price on the contract is indeed the price advertised. Since Shawn did not address what I said, I moved on and reported "I want you to advocate that these add ons are removed. For example, the car is old and it doesn't make since to charge for protectant (3M Clear shield for 399 and Ally 1499) when the car has a multitude of scratches and visible rust. Shawn did not have a rebuttal but reported that he can talk to his "controller" and ask the General Manger if these items can be taken off. He tried to get off the phone but I asked him if he can take note of all the add ons to ensure we are on the same page. He respectfully reported that it's not a guaranteed but he will try and took down the following add ons: Price advertised online was a little at15,388 but the price of the car is noted at $16,487 but the price on the contract was over 18k before all these add ons were included. $399. We made the deal with Joseph and Cameron which have been completely absent since the nightmare has started.... they have had our truck for a week now but supplied us with a loaner vehicle which was appreciated given the circumstances. The pre-owned truck we bought was " BLUE CERTIFIED " which leads you to think the vehicle SHOULD NOT HAVE UNDERLYING MECHANICAL ISSUES and that isn't the case. So moving forward their service department has had our truck for a week now. Cons: I'm going to start with the negative because I feel that this is the most important part. I purchased a vehicle from Ford of Long Beach last week. When I purchased the vehicle, I also purchased the two day contract cancellation option. This allowed me to return the car if I decided I did not want it after two days. I purchased this contract cancellation option so that I could take the car to a mechanic and have it checked out. I had the car checked out and they let me know that the water pump was failing. They saw residue from the water pump splashed on the engine. I just bought the car the day before, so this was not due to any wear and tear on my part. I decided to keep the car because even with the cost of repair for the water pump, the car would've still been an okay deal, especially for what used car prices are today. Luckily, I still had the original warranty on the car so I was able to take it directly into Toyota to get it fixed free of charge. However, bad business practices are demonstrated when you sell a car that you had to have known there was an issue with. They have their own service center, and according to them, all of their cars are inspected before being sold. If you purchase a used car from this dealership, make sure that you have the car checked out by a mechanic. Either bring one with you or purchase the two day cancellation contract, and take it into a mechanic. When I took the car into Toyota, they noticed the water pump residue on the engine right away. This was something that was very obvious to 2 different mechanics. Also, I feel like they were trying to trick me into running my credit when I first visited. Pros: The process of buying the car with them was hassle free. They were friendly enough. Also, like I mentioned, the car was a pretty good price, especially for what you'll find out there for used cars right now. Would I buy a car from them again? Maybe, but I would make sure to bring my mechanic with me or purchase the two day cancellation contract again and take the car to get inspected. 2.5 stars read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. They only saw me as an opportunity and did not listen to my concerns. I was PRESSURED into buying a car, even though I continued to tell them I did not feel at peace with the purchase. My feeling ended up being correct because they sold me a car with a faulty transmission and bad breaks. I was originally told I could return the car within a couple days if something was not right and upon me trying to return it, they point-blank refuse. The contract that I was given, they did not go over everything with me thoroughly and I unknowingly signed a portion of the contract that would work against me. I ended up looking over the contract and saw that THEY had filled it out incorrectly, voiding the contract. After I showed them the faulty contract, they still tried to make me keep the car- LITERALLY telling me they just "didn't feel like it". -_- They offered to switch the car with another car off the lot and/or fix the current vehicle but after they treated me the way they did and showed their lack of care, I did not feel comfortable doing that! I kept my foot down and they were FORCED to allow me to return the lemon they sold me, to avoid any legal matters. If you are someone who looks for genuine service, genuine people, and want to be HELPED, I would NOT recommend coming here. They only want to make money off you. Especially if you are a woman with children!- you will be seen as an easy target!!! Its as simple as that. I had to really press over and over to get them to admit that something else is wrong and actually diagnose it- oh ooops! They only replaced 1/2 of the Catalytic converter! The clogged pieces from the failed front half are now rattling in the failed back 1/2 and they are trying to sell me fucking engine mounts! hahahah I'm telling you, bring your A game or they will try and replace your head during and oil change. Manufacturer Clutch recall mailer sent out- car is stalling and gutless - they won't diagnose it despite throwing TCM error codes - directly sited on the recall- right on the paper from Ford- You know the rest by now- Still battling - they sent the wrong part numbers to Ford and lied about it it getting denied- I mean it's written on the invoice with the dates. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! A month ago I bought a 2018 Hyundai Kona. My first issue was actually at the dealership while purchasing the car, Elias the finance/paperwork person keep on saying thinks like "if this cars engine messes up in idk 6 months, do you or your parents have money to fix?!" All while trying to force me to get extended warranty. He would get bothered if the same pen was used between 2 people. So don't do paperwork with him. He always didn't go through most of the paperwork since they were rushing to close. When I go home I realized that had added on $4000 more! The second issue I had was after purchasing the car, I was driving on the freeway and my antenna came off, I spoke to Kamran and William about it and they said they would get back to me. Kamran a week later texted me the number of Scott, who is in charge of service. Once I finally was able to get a hold of Scott (2 weeks, multiple messages with employees and multiple multiple voicemails) Scott told me that he was waiting on Kamran. I called him and he told me he couldn't do anything about because the manager of used cars said no. How disappointing is this, if you send a good amount purchasing this car for Kamran to tell me well you can get it cheap online. The third and most concerning problem I have with the car is that the check engine light came on. This is the 3rd wek with this car and already having multiple problems. As I told Kamran he just said go to a shop sometimes they have a machine and it tells you what's wrong with it. And call Scott before your 30 day warranty is done. This dealership advertised a 2017 Honda HRV with 90k miles at $13,500 before tax. Sounds great I thought, I'll give them a visit. After negotiating with them for 2 hours, here's what I learned: -The advertised price is made up, that's not the actual lowest price (pre-tax) that they are willing to sell for. They'll tell you that there's a disclaimer saying that the price is before taxes and add-ons, then why not just advertise the after add-on price? -The "optional add-ons" aren't optional at all. They might say they are optional but as soon as you try to remove them, they'll tell you they can't as they'll lose money on the car. Then why not just advertise a price with a built-in profit margin? -They tried to convince me not to do a pre-purchase inspection as their own mechanics already looked over the car. They may not be lying but I doubt they were doing so out of good intentions for the customer. -The rest was the usual sleazy salesmen tactic of trying to convince me to finance or focus on monthly payments rather than out-the-door price. I understand that they need to make a profit on the cars they sell, what I don't understand is the need to lie about the actual price. In my case, they wanted me to pay for nearly 3k on useless "optional" add-ons that they refused to remove. If they were being honest from the beginning, neither mine or the salesman's time would have been wasted and I might have actually walked away with a car but unfortunately if you're looking for a honest dealership, this one ain't it. read more
