Game master gave us hints over the loud speaker unprompted/unasked and spoiled the game multiple times for us. Like dude, just give us a second. An incredibly important unlock is done by pulling on the decor, which we were instructed not to do, so he had to tell us to do it. The climatic end puzzle didn't work because the technology didn't work. We figured it out, did it right but it didn't say it was correct. So we spent the next almost 10 minutes trying to figure it out a different way only to be told that we just needed to do it slower and we were correct. Like what?? To improve this room: 1. Provide paper (needed to keep track of numbers, if you did this room you know exactly what I mean) 2. Label it as intermediate the puzzle alone is reason enough but oh my god- I wouldn't spoil it because that's rude but there were multiple times that it was INSANE like the "" puzzle was actually the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. 3. Fix the tech or at least provide the needed info: If a code needs to be typed in slowly, say that. One of the code input screens you barely had the ability of a touch screen so you had to slam your finger into it. 4. If your room is so dysfunctional that your game master is forced to give unprompted hints, that's a sign to get back to the drawing board. What I will say is this game had two very impressive technical aspects, sadly they were part of two extremely difficult puzzles but still, impressive. Overall, for the hefty price and very high ratings this place has, we were extremely disappointed and honestly angry. We have done around 12 escape rooms as a group and have never been through one so dysfunctional and disjointed, with a Game Master who actively ruined our game but was also forced too at some points due to the room's issues. Thank god I brought some good friends so at least the company was enjoyable. Refund wanted for sure.

I thought that the puzzles weren't cohesive and there was no narrative, so we didn't really get what we were doing and why. The puzzles itself were fine, not that satistfying. We ended up having to do a puzzle but it was a waste of time because the lock for the key was already unlocked without it. If you need something to do with friends, it's a good option. Otherwise, I think there are more narrative and cohesive escape rooms elsewhere.

I enjoyed the various components of the game and there were definitely a few that stumped me for a bit but that we eventually figured out. The Apartment has a capacity for 8 people, but I think our group of 4 was a great size because there's only so many puzzles to do at one time and I felt that we had enough space for us without overcrowding each other. Definitely would recommend, I think this was pretty beginner friendly for those who haven't tried escape rooms before.

I went to a 4:30 reservation on a friday night and it was super empty so maybe that's why it felt like I had a lot of time to play. But once my session was over, it was super packed. There are games at small tables around the room that you can play while you wait which is such a great concept. The actual VR play space is in the center of the room with a lots of area for you to move. I would definitely come back.

The space is very try-hard future tech, something that might be a good setting for an B-movie knock-off of The Last Starfighter. It doesn't smell as bad as you might expect. The games are pretty fun, especially if you have a bunch of friends screaming obscenities at you. There's no point in doing co-op, it's much more fun to fly around blowing your loved ones' heads off. For all the fun, it's just way too expensive. $50 for an hour is just kind of ridiculous, especially since they count in that hour all the set up time. If you have a big group, that means you're paying $50 for 30 minutes of play and 30 minutes of watching the two dudes they have on staff struggle to put your helmet on. Last time I went the game went black and had to be reset. Better believe I was paying $1/minute for that. A quick adjustment of price and being up-front about setup time and cost would make this place much better. As is, I wouldn't do it again.

The worker there was very nice and did a good job explaining how to throw the axe as well as safety guidance. We were both first timers so this explanation was very important to us. We had a 1 hour long reservation that we paid $80 for. We had so much fun throughout. Once we got the hang of throwing we started to play the game where you count points and try to get to 21 (worker suggested we play it). He also left us pen and paper to aid with scorekeeping. I noticed that they served beer and hard seltzer too. I didn't go for that experience but it's nice to know it was an option!

We celebrated my boyfriends 30th birthday by booking a private event and a party table. I called a…read moreweek prior to ask some questions and was able to talk to the GM who was amazing at breaking down all the information I would need (how to order food, how the party table works, when we should be there ETC). The day off, we had Jen as our Ref and game master who trained us and ran our private game. We had a BLAST with her. The team played music that really amped us up, and I really loved that it wasn't JUST archery tag. She ran us through a bunch of different game styles and it kept it very fresh and fun. At the end we were able to have our pizza, a cake I brought in and some drinks. It was overall a really great time! Jen and the team really made our experience really fun. She was clear with the instructions, rules and really highlighted our achievements! My advice to anyone coming in, call ahead if you have any questions because the team is happy to answer your questions. This is also ONE heck of a workout, so just be dressed and ready to run! Overall we would come back for sure!

The Witches Hollow escape room was a lovely and very story centered Escape room experience…read more My friends and I have done a number of escape rooms together and separately and this was the first escape room I have ever participated in where competition with a ticking clock was not front and center to the entire thing. There was no clock present at all! And we learned, after we escaped, that they have additional puzzles they add if players are getting through the puzzles quickly. Because it's story centered, they want you to get from point A to point B, but the puzzles were still difficult enough to be satisfying. The production value was fantastic - a lot of attention to light and sound design and a beautiful set and props. It was a great atmosphere to lose yourself in for an hour. Bravo. I don't live that close to Salem, but kind of hope my friends will want to organize to try the other room. Other less important stuff: Though they don't have their own lot, they are located on a public pay lot. They are about a 10 minute walking distance from the downtown witchy area of Salem. There is a Starbucks next door which can be convenient for meeting up before and debriefing after. Check them out - a really great experience.

This is a great spot to get up and personal with some local jazz giants as well as visiting players. There is not a bad seat in the house, and the Green Room's name is apt, because it is literally just a small room with a hanging tiffany lamp and folding chairs. Situated in a store front on Bow Street, the Green Room is a welcome performance space in the neighborhood. Definitely join their mailing list to stay abreast of visiting performers and take in a show prior to dinner and drinks in Union Square. There is no food or drink available in this room, so plan ahead.
