It is super well-priced at $15/person for 1.5 hours of gameplay which is more than enough for 2 people. They have a bunch of interactive dart games, including classic, and we were able to play all of them multiple times. Additionally, they have Rookie/Normal/Pro lines on the ground so you can choose where to stand and you don't have to be a professional dart player by any means to play these games. The staff is also super friendly. The only concern I had was that the staff wasn't super attentive to our dart table, so despite us clicking the request service button a few times, my girlfriend had to head to the bar to get our drinks and start a tab. My girlfriend's drink was not good either... it was a vodka mixed drink with a salt rim and it was just too salty. It would've been much better with a sugar rim I think. Other than that though, it was an amazing time and I'd highly recommend Flight Club for a date night, outing with friends, or corporate event!

Deep Dive--"Atlantis Rising" Provides a Watery Challenge!…read more Hello, everyone! Christian Krenek, the Dauphin d'Escape Rooms, is back with another review! I first heard that PanIQ was opening a location in Boston back in September of 2021, and gathered some friends (all escape room and puzzling pros!) to head there in March of '22 for my birthday (and 35th room total!). We chose "Atlantis Rising," a deep-sea adventure. Your goal is twofold: make your way into the sunken city of Atlantis, and then recover whatever treasure you can find inside. The room design is top-notch, especially because the space is relatively small. The Atlantis section is particularly well-done, with mood lighting and mysterious underwater sounds. Our group did have a slight problem seeing some of the effects, which is intentional (it's murky in the sea!). It might help to bring along a flashlight! The best part of any escape room, though, is the puzzles, and PanIQ did NOT disappoint on that front. I was particularly impressed by the number of tactile puzzles in the room--lots of hands-on and interactive challenges. PanIQ also does a good job of making sure that there multiple puzzles to work on at once, thus avoiding bottlenecks and getting people stuck. It CAN be overwhelming--the room is a full sensory experience--but there are plenty of opportunities for breaks if you need them! My only advice to potential players: go with a small group. We had six adults ranging in size from small to large, and the room only holds seven--and speaking frankly, at times we felt the crunch! :p I think this room would be ideal for a group of three or four players, but we still had a blast with six, so don't let that discourage you. If you DO go with a big group, though, be ready to split up and tackle multiple challenges! All in all, our trip to the depths was a success (we escaped with 15 minutes to spare--that's 29 wins, 6 losses for me!), and we're excited to return to PanIQ to see what their remaining three games have in store. Until then, have fun, everyone!

We have done a lot of escape rooms, and I would probably put this in my bottom 5. Had several…read moreissues with it, but the biggest one is that the room is just really run down and is in dire need of a facelift. Here are some more details... - There are several "games" that you play during the hour, some that are very arbitrary and in no way relate to the scenario. When you finish and you receive the code to unlock whatever the next step is, you cannot go back. But there is nothing to write them down on, so if you don't remember the code which may only appear for a few seconds, you're screwed. - we were told explicitly to not manhandle anything in the room, which is a pretty standard rule for all escape rooms. However, there is one hook on the wall that you need to pull on fairly hard in order to open something. We intentionally did not pull on it because of the previous instructions. - once you find the hidden shoes, there should be some indicator to not mix them up with the other shoes because that wasted 10 minutes trying to figure out what the correct two shoes were that we needed to use. - in the final room there were lots of little boxes and distractors all around the walls that were nothing more than little wooden blocks. They looked very kindergarten and cheesy. - our game master was nice enough, but when we tried to call for a clue, we got no response. After about two minutes I went out to the lobby and she was standing there talking with a couple of people and asked if she could help me. I said yeah we're trying to get a clue and she said oh I'll be there in a minute. I understand that if you're understaffed, she has to spread herself thin, but that is wasting our money and our time. She's supposed to be dedicated to us for that hour. My final complaint is that this entire room seemed completely arbitrary and non-linear. It's like they tried to make a James Bond themed British escape room and just threw a bunch of random puzzles together. I would definitely not go back and recommend that you go elsewhere as well.

We did the Panacea room with 3 adults and 2 kids. Jake was our person (what do you call this role? Manager? Guide?) and was warm, friendly, and fun. We were all excited and kind of nervous and his demeanor really put us at ease and helped us get into the mood of the game. The School St location is completely different from Blackstone where the pirate room is. You activate a black rectangle next to the door between Brueggers and Chipotle and they'll let you in. Up the stairs and on your left is the surprisingly large and cozy waiting room. There's a bathroom handy off the waiting area, but I didn't use it so can't comment. We did our waivers and sat on the comfy couches to get a run down of what to expect and then hear the backstory for the room. It was terrific and the set up where we waited really set the tone. The room itself was really fun and fit the theme perfectly. I'd say if you have kids this is the ideal set up. You can definitely do it with 4 adults, too. I love when the room super commits to the theme, and this one did. Also, like my prior experience, they really do watch out for you the whole time and can intervene with a cryptic yet helpful hint when you're just not getting it. There are places for photo ops before and after, and - my favorite! - your guide will walk you through all the clues so if you've divided and conquered by the time you've finished you get a chance to see all the cool stuff you missed in your race against the clock. These were clever clues! I'm pleased to hear we can request Jake again since he was a delight, but everyone we've met has been terrific, so doubt you can really go wrong. They have 2 rooms I've yet to do and 1 new one in the works. Woohoo!

There was a picture of the bride in our challenge books, we all got nametags with our team names on them. 4) You can be super competitive, or you can just have a chill good time. For the shy, know that a big part of it involves talking to lots of strangers. For the not-shy, you'll have a great f'in time. For those of you from here you'll be even more competitive cause you'll know exactly where to go and what kind of strategies to employ. The dances are usually held at the West Cambridge Youth Center on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays of each month. The floors aren't crappy and there aren't any loose boards. The facilities are fine and shouldn't have to resort to carrying a bottle purell. The music is old school, undoubtedly. Hey, if you were looking for something more updated, you'd be heading to the club, yeah? There's a live band and when they take breaks, there's recorded music to keep things going. It's a good workout and can be a lot of fun. People there are generally friendly and some will dance with you if you're alone. I didn't spot any creepers. I am always quick to applaud the city and surrounding towns (way to go Cambridge and Somerville) for the wealth of outdoor activities, both solo and team-related, available to residents. One of my favorite such Boston-based young-people-centric outdoor activities is my weekly WAKA game at Roberto Clemente Field in the Fens. My team, the Electric Mayhem, has been together for years in the Ironsides League (there are several leagues in town), and through it I have met some of the nicest and most fun folks you can hope for. If anyone ever thinks that it's hard to make new friends, sign up for a WAKA team and you'll have a dozen new ones after a day. The Ironsides League (and I hear the same about the other ones) is just competitive enough to be fun. Teams have a vested interest in winning and playing hard, but not so much of an interest that folks get disgusted and enraged after a loss. Everyone's there to just play and have a good time. The leagues are all well-managed and that management leads to the quality of organization and general spirit of WAKA in Boston. So yeah, in short, get some comfy sneakers on and get to the field. It's game time.

You don't know any one and you find yourself getting excited to do laundry on the weekends just to pass time and loneliness. Ok, I admit, that's slightly dramatic and maybe a bit true. I joined WAKA when my childhood friend moved into the city so she could meet people outside her grad school program. After trying another kickball league, I just didn't want to enroll in a free agent alone. The concept of adult kickball leagues is pretty standard, you play a game of kickball and then you head to a bar to drink. At a previous league, everyone hangs out only with their team mates and hardly any mingling happens between teams. It's quite the opposite with WAKA and I could give credit to the company but the people make the difference. If you're not a person that likes high energy or loud bars, you're best off never joining this league. You really have to be prepare for happy, excited and really fun people. Yes the teams can be very competitive on the field but you may also make friends for a lifetime. It's cheesy, but I've found it to be truth in the making.

I spend over two hours of my day there, every week and this rink is pretty good overall. Let's start with the facilities: my only complaint is that the locker rooms aren't all that warm and a bit small but they are clean and don't smell which is a big plus and unlike a lot of other rinks I've been to. The ice itself is pretty well maintained and doesn't suffer from too many bad spots. There's no bumps or softer spots either. The lighting is good and even and the boards are stiff and netted all around which keeps the pucks inside. The overall temperature inside is much lower than in most rinks making for a more solid sheet of ice. However it will also cause spectators to freeze to death... A tradeoff that I actually think is awesome because I'd rather skate on better ice than see my buddies watch me skate from the stands... All in all the place is pretty good, with easy parking, a clean, solid sheet of ice and decent facilities. What more could one really need? A vending machine maybe? They have three.
