Came here for the first time for a concert…read more Conveniently at North Station if you live on a commuter rail route. For such a big venue, getting in and out was surprisingly smooth. Our seats were up in the balcony but we had great views and sounds was good. The seats are REALLY close together though, like a large person sitting next to you or someone with big hair is going to be touching you the whole time kind of close together. Not a huge fan of stadium concerts if if it's the only option for that artist TD Garden wasn't bad at all.

I loved the venue size - totally manageable and not overwhelming. Lots of bathroom stalls meant any lines moved quickly. I loved taking a break between the opener and main act to stand quietly by the water. Several drink and food options (pizza, dumplings, chicken nuggets, fries, burgers), and a free water fountain + water bottle filling station. Definitely still plan on wearing ear plugs - the music was as loud as any other venue.

They have one single 3-foot wide entrance (besides the VIP entrance, which I didn't experience other than to see it similarly lacked signage and coordination). They had zero line management and no signage outside the venue. Once inside, the space was a little calmer, but still had terrible logistics. The bathrooms had no line management, a terrible layout, and lacked signage so people were confused and bumping into each other constantly. The food and drinks were disappointing, but at least they had a few different options. The acoustics and sight lines were decent but the seats were uncomfortable and only 2/3 had cup holders. The worst part is that it seems like this place could be so much better. They have nice staff and they have enough space. It's just being managed terribly.

While visiting Boston, my husband and I took the train to the ballpark and then walked a short reasonable distance to the ballpark. We went through a security check and headed in. Because we had purchased special tickets to get a Red Sox collaboration shirt with their hockey team, Bruins, we were directed to the main store to pickup our shirts. This was really nice because you are able to enter through any gate and then just head to the store to pick up your shirt, which is much easier and more efficient than other baseball parks that we have gone to in the past to pick up special shirts (because those stadiums require that you enter from only one specific gate in order to get those items). After picking up our shirts, we were able to find our seats and sat for a Red Sox vs Kansan City Royals game. And the Red Sox won 5-1. We sat in the Grand Stand, Section 21, Row 16, Seats 11 & 12, which gave us a nice view behind home plate. Also plenty of shade from the sun. Because I knew there would be really long lines for food, we ended up bringing in our own food and water (yes you can bring in outside food and also a plastic bottle of water). Overall, we did enjoy our visit and the game itself. But the only thing that I felt most inconvenient was that there was only one restroom by where we were seating, in which you have go down the stairs to get to them. This ballpark is small so I can see why there is a lack of restrooms, as compared to bigger ballparks.

The food and drinks were great even if a little pricy. My biggest issue was seating at the park. We were in the older green seats that have little to no room. It was far from comfortable and I wouldn't pay to sit in that section again. I love the idea of maintaining the history of the park but these really do need updated. Came here to see Karol G in concert. It was awesome! Concert started at 7 and we got there around…read more6. The traffic coming in wasn't too bad. I parked in general admission and the walk was only 7ish minutes and mostly flat! They do have a clear bag policy up to a certain size or you can bring a small wristlet in/cross body...but it's very strict. They have a special technology that takes a picture of your purse and measures it. Mine was like an inch too big so my boyfriend had to walk back to the car :( They do have clear plastic bags so I asked for one for my belongings and he brought my bag back. Once I got into the venue, the merch was right in the entrance and lines weren't long. Plus, there's so many food options and a lot of it is grab and go so you "pay" before you enter and they take a picture of what you get on the security cameras and charge you after..pretty efficient! My chicken tenders were good with the fries, yum! My seats were great in section 240, a clear view of the stage. Wasn't too cold at night but I brought a sweater. We left a few songs early so we could avoid the traffic. When I came to Taylor Swift I waited 3 hours to leave.... Besides the strict bag policy that took us a little bit we had a fantastic time and seeing a concert here is quite fun!

Gillette Stadium might genuinely be the worst place in New England to see a concert…read more The whole experience feels like someone asked, "How can we make going to a concert unnecessarily difficult?" and Gillette said, "Hold my beer." First, parking. It's expensive, chaotic, and there is basically no convenient public transportation option. So you pay a small fortune to park your car in a field somewhere in/near the general vicinity of the stadium and then begin the pilgrimage. Then you reach security, where apparently a purse can become a matter of national security. The bag policy allows a 6.5" x 4.5" bag. Which is adorable. That's roughly enough room for your phone, keys and one tampon if you really believe in yourself. And if your bag is slightly over the dimensions? Congratulations! You now get to have a security guard inspect your purse while you contemplate whether it's worth walking the entire way back to your car. The best part is the inconsistency. A woman gets stopped over a crossbody bag that is a couple centimeters too large, while a guy walks through with a sweatshirt pocket the size of a small duffel bag. That pocket could contain a vape, six nips, a sandwich and possibly a second, smaller man. But sure. Let's investigate the woman with lip gloss and a tampon. I understand security. I actually appreciate security. Have reasonable policies. Enforce them consistently. Fine. But combine the ridiculous bag restrictions with expensive parking, no convenient transportation, insane ticket prices and the general feeling that you're being processed rather than welcomed, and you have to wonder why anyone considers this a good concert venue. There are so many better venues that are easier to get to, surrounded by restaurants and bars that don't feel like a chain, and don't make attending a concert feel like you're attempting to cross an international border with a suspiciously large purse. Gillette, I promise the woman carrying a Lululemon crossbody with a tampon in it is not your biggest security threat. Let the women bring their damn purses.

The location is great with plenty of parking arond the stadium, right on the river. The Stadium itself is very clean, extremely fan (and family) friendly and is comfortable to sit in. The prices are quite resonable (6 dollars to get in the door, 4 dollars a beer, 1.50 a dog) and is a great alternative to a 500 dollar day for a family of 4 to catch a baseball game at Fenway (probably cost under 50 all said here).

In the interests of full disclosure, I'm from out of town and visited to watch the New England Free Jacks play professional rugby. It is easy to get to, plenty of parking and lots of great places to eat in town before a match. The facility itself is clean and modern - all the seats are good seats and all close to the action.
