We've been to one other LEGOLAND Discovery Center - in Westchester NY. This location compares…read morefavorably. Though we enjoyed the one in New York too, this location minimized the sort of underwhelming initial areas and focuses much more on an open-concept space with multiple activities and building rooms. While my kids are too old for Duplo, it was really nice to see a strong focus on the larger blocks to involve younger kids in the experience. We enjoyed the laser maze activity, even though it was hardly a maze at all. It would have been nice if there was a staff person supervising the activity though - there seemed to be a great deal of confusion with how it was supposed to work. We figured it out largely by seeing others do it incorrectly. Otherwise everything was great - the kids loved the VR game, the building activities, and the impressive pre-built LEGO creations.

I know this place has trash reviews! But I brought my 6 year old and he LOVED it- honestly I did…read moretoo. We were there for 3.5 hours. There are movies every 1-2 hours, several sections where kids can build and interact with legos and an entire station to make mini figures. We loved the ride too! The best part was hands down the workshop though- we had 30 mins of a curated micro build and we both had the best time- the master builder was kind, and encouraged creativity while giving lots of structure. You definitely do not need any add ons (the basic ticket is sufficient for all these fun activities! ). Will definitely come back for any other special occasion!

Amazing little playground designed for future little engineers to explore. There was all sorts of…read moreunique things like a water ramp, pulleys to lift up buckets of sand, and plenty of things to climb. Docking a star for limited shade and sand making it a bit slippery and dangerous for climbing up the surfaces around the slide. Worth a visit though!

Probably one of my favorite playgrounds I've encountered in Boston…read more Here's why: -fenced in, with only one exit - great for thwarting runners -water play area, including one feature that looks kind of like showers, which is very handy in dealing with the fall out from the... -extensive sand area, including with various simple machines (levers, pulleys) and some basic toys (shovels, buckets -- although I'd bring your own) -significant wheelchair-accessible areas, including swing and turn-table thingie -good amount of parent seating -fun playscape structures that are designed to look more natural (e.g., thing to climb on that looks like logs) Very good for young kids -- our 7-month old could enjoy the water and the swings (and the sand, although he needed supervision to keep from eating it). Our almost 3-yo could do most things, but I think even a kid in the low-elementary grades would have a good amount of fun here. We found 2-hour parking along the side of the Cambridge Common; most of the rest was resident only. When we visited in the summer, there was a porta-pottie nearby.

They hold…read morefull-on puppet shows with elaborate puppets crafted by world-renown artists and with stories told by famous storytellers. You've probably driven by a hundred times looking at the bright lettering and the cool paintings on the windows but really, stop by for a show one night. They have adult shows too (not that kind of adult show) which is what I'm recommending. I'm sure the kids shows are amazing, great for brithday parties etc. but I've never actually seen a kid show. If you're looking for a funny interesting night, check out a PuppetSLAM which is what I saw... This is from their website: "It's an evening of short varied theatrical mini-plays for adults that use (or sometimes abuse) puppets for all or part of the drama. Each piece is performed by a different artist or artists, and the content can be wide-ranging; some are elegant or poignant, others are satiric, irreverent, or humorous, and still others can be passionate, political, or spiritual in nature. The performers range from the seasoned professional to the nascent puppeteer, and often include poets, musicians, dancers, mimes, actors, and other sundry affiliated artists." These guys are also non-profit, so help 'em out and go see a show. They're funny and you'll have a good story to tell about how you went to a puppet show :)
